They even offer tongue which I've never ever seen on a menu before except at my mama's house. I ordered just a regular bowl of bún bò huế. They give you so much meat, it's insane. Moreover, they include broth bones where there are still tiny morsels of meat still attached. As of it wasn't already giving my mama's house, you can also find nước mắm on the tables where you can concoct a whole dipping situation. Ten. What really sold me was #23 - tôm chua đu đủ Đặc biệt. I was craving banh canh early morning on a Saturday, and this was one of the only places open. You know a restaurant is going to be fire when they only specialize in a handful of items. We got the bun bo hue and the banh canh with thick soup. Both dishes came out really fast in massive bowls. Me and my partner were looking for a place to eat nearby around Garden Grove area and I was craving for some Vietnamese central dishes and found this like nook and cranny in the area. It was such a pleasant and nice find! They are a small shop but also nicely presented and very clean. Service was pretty typical for a Vietnamese restaurant so don't expect anything extra, but the food made up for it. The broth was very clear and perfectly balanced! My mom craved banh nam after her facial. I remember seeing this place a while back. I decided to take her to try it. We ordered cha hue, bbh, banh beo, banh nam, and a sugarcane drink. Today, I got the strawberry sugarcane & bun Bo hue which is a spicy Vietnamese beef noodle soup. The strawberry sugarcane was 3/5 I love the color contrast of the sugarcane, but I wish it tasted more like strawberry and sugarcane in between. The bun Bo hue I would give it a 3/5 the broth was decent, great flavor, and aromatics. The meat was delicious, great texture, and easy to chew. The noodles were soft, chewy, and smooth. I recently stopped by here because I was craving a bowl of bbh(bun bo hue) and hubby wanted mq(mi quang). Bbh was sorta disappointing - my bowl came out just lukewarm and the flavors were just lacking. I didn't get the typical aromatic garlic/lemongrass aroma that you should get from a good bowl of bbh. Some of the protein was a bit tough and come on pls add some more tendon! My husband said his mq was good.
