Hue Kitchen offers freshly made, hugh portion and authentic tasting food. Their Bun Bo Hue was hit, delicious and full of meats, including beef tongue. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Ambiance was airy, bright and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Stopped by to wrapped some foods to go but ended up doing both...small parking, clean and nice place. Nice and friendly service, nice with varies choices of dishes from Hue (middle VN region). The foods are tasty, flavorful, nicely cook and quite yummy. Portion is good but for younger or working folks, it might be small. Prices are okey, high of mid range. Will coming back when Hue craving is calling for sure.

Hue Kitchen has all the right ingredients for an Authentic Hue Central Vietnamese Breakfast experience here in Santa Ana. The chef and owner cares meticulously on each customer and two additional servers assist her to make everything just perfect. Fresh hot and made to order just the way your favorite auntie makes in Vietnam except its much cooler here the in Central Hue Vietnam in May 2026. Enjoy a lovely breakfast and walk over next door to enjoy a delicious hot cup of coffee. See y'all soon. Enjoy the sunshine of love on Mother's Day next weekend.

Me and my partner were looking for a place to eat nearby around Garden Grove area and I was craving for some Vietnamese central dishes and found this like nook and cranny in the area. It was such a pleasant and nice find! They are a small shop but also nicely presented and very clean. Service was pretty typical for a Vietnamese restaurant so don't expect anything extra, but the food made up for it. The broth was very clear and perfectly balanced! I love that they have unique options compared to other locations such as beef tongue and shrimp paste balls. I had the balls and my partner got the beef tongue but we tried a little bit of each dishes and I was pleasantly surprised on the beef tongue. It was super tender and pretty much melts from first bite. The shrimp was was packed with flavor in each bite. I definitely want to come back and try their other options!

My mom craved banh nam after her facial. I remember seeing this place a while back. I decided to take her to try it. We ordered cha hue, bbh, banh beo, banh nam, and a sugarcane drink. I wanted to order the rau cau pandan soymilk, but the staff told me it was complimentary desserts. Yay!!! BBH - the broth looked so clear that both my mom and I were wondering if it would be good. Surprisingly, it was not bad at all. It was almost a perfect bowl. It was just missing mam ruoc... Banh nam and Banh beo tasted fresh. It was so much better than the ones we had in SJ. The fish sauce made it even better. Cha hue was yummy. They didn't over do it with the pepper. Good snack!! The rau cau was ok. It smelled really good. However, it wasn't cold enough. Sugarcane was pretty good. They do add kumquat. Wish they would have mentioned it. We usually prefer just pure sugarcane. Service was great. We didn't even need to ask for an extra bowl. The only strange thing about the place was the restroom. It was already tight inside. Not sure why they placed such a big, fake & dusty plant inside. I almost bumped into it. Decent price Great CS RR avail Parking avail

First time trying this place and the banh beo was delicious! It was soft, freshly made and perfect flavor. The menu has just about any Hue regional food you can think of. Restaurant is clean and nicely kept. Definitely recommend trying this place out.

Update: Dec 2025 Still absolutely amazing. Generous portions of meat in the bowls. Bun Bo hue is very well flavored. Broth has great umami and depth from the shrimp paste and lemongrass. Meat is very tender. Plenty of fresh vegetables and herbs. Safe chili is on point with smokiness and fresh bites of lemongrass. Noodles are cooked perfectly. Definitely in my top three for BBH places. Love how they have a fresh made shrimp patty in each bowl. Every bowl is literally decked with all the proper fixings. Cha Oc (snail ham) is filled generously with tender sea snail and super aromatic with the lemongrass. Bahn bot loc (tapioca dumpling) is ok. Not bad, nothing to rave. The meat in it was very lean which I think for some crowds it would be great but I like mine a little bit fattier with pork belly and shrimp. Texture was a soft with a slight chew as it should be. Service is excellent. Very nice folks. Clean restaurant and at the end of every meal you get a free dessert!

We drove from San Diego in search of a good Hue meal. Service was great, the menu offerings were a good variety. The restaurant was clean & cozy. They give you tofu dessert as a palate cleanser when you're done. We ordered a little bit of everything and ate family style. The banh beo toppings were full of flavor. Mi Quang, Banh Canh, and Bun Bo Hue were also good. I'm used to the BBH being spicier than they prepared here. Overall, it was a good comfort meal.

Bun bo hue is my favorite Vietnamese dish and this place does it soooo well. The broth is light yet packed with flavor, and it always comes out at the perfect temperature. The meat is also generously portioned and perfectly tender! Each bowl is served with a plate of lime, cabbage, banana flower, chili, bean sprouts, and basil. The banh beo is also very tasty. Each platter comes with nine dishes, freshly steamed with minced crab, pork skin, and green onion, served with a sweet and spicy nuoc mam to add on top. The cha gio (egg roll) is good, but I think it's a little pricey for the portion size. Water is also an extra charge here so it's better to get an iced jasmine tea for the same price. Overall, great spot!

Came here for lunch and ordered the banh bot loc, bun bo hue, banh canh, nuoc mia, and soybean milk pudding. Banh bot loc was very delicious and paired well with in house nuoc mam! Very savory and gave enough filling inside! Nuoc mia is refreshing and not at all watered down and they gave soybean milk pudding on the house! Banh canh was rich and had lots of seafood, with shrimp bits and full shrimps! Bun bo hue is rich and they have a lot of noodles and meat! Had to take it home to finish later! Overall really delicious, was very satisfying, and will be coming back again!

Today I came here with my dad and my aunt. It was our first time here. I have seen this place near trung Nguyen before but never tried it. Today, I got the strawberry sugarcane & bun Bo hue which is a spicy Vietnamese beef noodle soup. The strawberry sugarcane was 3/5 I love the color contrast of the sugarcane, but I wish it tasted more like strawberry and sugarcane in between. The bun Bo hue I would give it a 3/5 the broth was decent, great flavor, and aromatics. The meat was delicious, great texture, and easy to chew. The noodles were soft, chewy, and smooth. The service was fast & employee is very nice and friendly. The store has a great atmosphere, spacious, and clean. I would definitely come back if I want a good bun Bo hue. There is plenty of parking. I'm only giving it a 4 because the service was good.

Wonderful service! Menu offers noodles soup, rice dishes, a few appetizers, coffee, juices, and tofu puddings! There's something to satisfy your pho craving. We tried a few dishes, also got the Vietnamese coffee (would be a crime not to) and passionfruit juice! All delicious and the herbs for my soup were beyond fresh! There are two small picnic tables for outside seating and we did just that with our pomenrainian. Parking is limited; it will likely test your patience if you visit on weekends. The restaurant shared the parking lot with a popular coffee house (Trung Nguyen) and a water store next door.

A solid spot for some Bun Bo Hue. Having had my share of this particular dish, I must say the flavor was pretty good. The broth had a lot of flavor and the spiciness level can be controlled to your desire. The meat could be a little more tender, but that's me being a little nitpicky. Overall a very solid spot for Bun Bo Hue!

Massive parking lot so that was easy, one friend went ahead and let them know we had 10 incoming. They made room and we sat immediately. One of the spots that you scan a menu at the table and you review, order and pay all in the app. I was really not familiar with the line up and went with the "House Special Beef Pot Roodle" (Roodles are their rice noodles). It was a weekend only item and I tried that. The noodles came separate from the soup. Over all it was very tasty. The meat was a bit fatty and the soup had tendons too. I took that part home and my wife loved it. I tend to avoid the fatty meat and tendons are not good to me. 10 of us so some of the appetizers got passed around. The smashed cucumbers are excellent, and my buddy also got some friend potatoes of sorts, reminded me of a fat French fry. Because my buddy and I sat at the same table we scanned the same menu, he ordered a bunch of stuff and also House Special Beef Pot Roodle. That confused the kitchen and they asked me if I meant to order 2, I said no and didn't realize I cancelled my buddy's order. Part of the confusion of a large party and many scanned menu orders. My buddy was struggling to order and our initial waiter seemed to not understand my friend and that took a little bit to work out, young lady came from the back and was able to quickly resolve some of the confusion and get questions answered as needed. In the end he had lot of food to explore. One thing that caught my eye was several couples there and sharing a large soup item served with a tray of various food items for the soup. Kind of a date night visual and something that looked very interesting. Several couples around us had that same dish and its got me more curious. Might have to come back with my wife and try this one.

I ordered their most popular dish, the A1 set, but honestly, it didn't really live up to the hype for me. The broth tasted pretty underseasoned overall. From what I understood, you're supposed to mix all the toppings into the soup with the noodles, but even after doing that, I still felt like the flavor was lacking. Yes, they provide seasoning on the side, but personally, I wish the broth already had enough flavor on its own without needing to adjust it myself. Would I come back? Probably not. Nothing really stood out to me enough to return, and it felt more like a one-time experience. Overall, everything was just okay.

The restaurant itself is a bit on the small side so you'll be close to your neighbors not that it was an issue personally. My buddy and I ordered our items and shared with each other for a good full experience. We got the three-in-one noodles medium heat and the Ma Hu Beef noodles with mild heat alongside the cucumbers with medium heat as an appetizer. Cucumbers were very fresh! However, they really were just cucumbers with a little heat on them so they weren't anything too special. Once the main entrees came in, I couldn't stop myself from digging in! I forgot to take a picture until after some damage was done to our meals. Three-in-one was so flavorful and sweet with the noodles becoming incredibly soft after having mixed it all together. The star of the show for me though was the Ma Hu Beef noodles. The beef was remarkably tender and delicious and the noodles had a firmer texture that complimented with the flavors. Oddly enough, the mild heat on the Ma Hu Beef was spicier than the medium heat three-in-one! If you find yourself in the mood for Biangbiang noodles, this is definitely the spot to go to. On a side unrelated note about the parking which did not influence my review; the parking here is rough. It's consistently packed so watch out for that. There is a structure across the street that allows parking for the food court. I parked in the structure but I had a bad experience because since it's also parking for the residents above, the gate was closed on us after 8pm. I had to wait for a vehicle to come out and open the gate for not only just me but for multiple other people that had also parked in the structure!Just something to keep in mind. Hopefully that doesn't continue being an issue for future guests.

I really liked that their noodles were al dente and not too soft Deluxe mazemen: 8/10 Taking my first bite, I was instantly greeted with an explosion of umami. There's a LOT of flavor packed in this bowl and the noodles used are actually a bit thicker which is right up my alley. My only drawback on this dish was that I wished it came with some sort of veggies to cut through all the flavor. They also give you a small serving of rice at the end for you to mix into the bottom which was a nice addition Kurobota sausage: 7.5/10 We've recently been on a kurobota craze. Don't get me wrong, these were great but we've only had them charred and grilled before so I was taken aback when I saw that these were only steamed. Flavor was spot on but I'm a sucker for a nice char or crisp to my meat Overall, loved the service and small restaurant vibe of this spot. We were seated very quickly and the food came out even faster. Definitely come try this spot, I know we'll be back

Never had Mazemen before which is basically broth-less ramen with various of toppings. We were on…read morethe way to Kitakata, but after finding this place on Yelp, we had to check out the hype. The interior is cozy and small with authentic Japanese decorations/setup. Kinda felt like we were eating in Kyoto or something, lol. The lady who served us was friendly and gave us good recommendations. I think she was handling the whole operation to be honest. To start it off, we ordered their specialty chicken karaage and it was very delicious. It has a nice crispy and crunchy texture. The batter on the chicken was good and once you bite it, the meat is juicy and tender. Doesn't really need dipping since it's so good. As for the Mazemen, we ordered the Deluxe and Veggie one, both is a 5/5. Very flavorful and it tastes just like ramen, but without the soup. The presentation of the dish looks like a work of art. Very picture pretty. I ate that shit up within ten minutes. After that they give you a scoop of rice so you can mix it up with the leftover sauce. Lots of umami for sure. Definitely will come back again to try the other flavors. People, trust me and come through!
