The best Pho. My first time trying pho was off of this truck and it blew my mind with all the flavor. I honestly didn't know what to expect and soups generally aren't my thing. I had the beef pho and the broth was amazing, was not lacking on any of the ingredients. One of those i'm full but can't stop situations. Since trying pho king awesome i've had pho at 4 other brick and mortars and this was hands down, far and away, the BEST. And their crew is really nice which is an added bonus. And tacos! Well, let me see.... They were supposed to be open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We arrived at 11:40 and they were still loading soft drinks into the ice. They were totally disorganized and not ready for business. After about 5 minutes of this, someone was ready to take our orders. I ordered the Spicy OG fried Rice & an order of egg rolls (3). I waited for over 20 minutes to get my food. The Fried Rice is advertised as having scrambled eggs, Chinese sausage, and mixed vegetables. The spicy rice was not at all spicy and as hard as I searched, I could find no sign of any Chinese sausage included in the dish. The fried rice with veggies was nothing to write home about. The eggrolls - looked and tasted like plain old ordinary ground beef - I saw no sign of vermicelli noodles - just a hunk of hamburger........they did have good flavor though. They parked last night at the Hill Top Park in Signal Hill and decided to check them out since its close to me. This is the only truck that I'll schedule my lunches around at work. The pho and the service is really effing awesome. I don't know that it's the absolute most authentic pho you'll find but speaking as a matter of convenience, this can't be beat. Plus it's like $8 for a warm, filling bowl. I happen to like that the beef isn't too rare. I've tried their chicken taco which was also delicious, but I am a sucker for the soup. This food truck is awesome! I've had them a couple times as they came to my apartment! Even though PHO is in their name, I actually love their other menu items. One of my favorite favorite things on the menu is their spicy Asian tacos! These little guys are full of flavor and so bomb! I wish they were bigger just so I can eat MORE!!! But 3 for $6 dollars isn't too bad!!! The thing that I love as well is the Asian Cajun Chicken!!! It's fried popcorn chicken on top of rice with 2 amazing sauces and green onions/sesame seeds. I don't know what the orange sauce is but it is damn amazing! Also what makes this place even better is the customer service. All of the people who work here are super nice and really genuine in their conversations. It's nice to see that in the food service industry, awesome people doing what they love! Not sure why anyone would dis these guys because I have gotten food twice from them and it has been delicious. The Pho is amazing, great depth of flavor, salty, sweet, with a really nice spice from the peppers. Broth is tasty and the meat very tender. I wasn't really interested in ordering the noodles on a sunny day outside but a friend recommended it. I grabbed the combo that included one taco and a drink. My friend is a connoisseur and a food porn addict. So when he says something is good it has to make me feel mischievous eating while always trying to watch my figure. My noodles and tacos came out. The noodles had thin slices of high quality fine beef with a touch of pink, meatballs with tendon were also given attention. The noodles were so good I want to sweat it so I can lick myself. For being Phò on the go this is really good. I can't wait till they come back to Renaissance at Uptown Orange. Prices are a little on the high side for what you get but the flavor does make up for it. Prices are around $8.00 for a bowl. So they came back to my job site I decided to give them another try. What a difference the food was GREAT and well cooked of course. They apologized and made up for the bad experience I had the previous time and gave me and my coworkers a discount. The chicken plate was so good exactly what I expected and I tried the chicken tacos which were delicious! My coworker tried the tofu tacos and said they were great also. Definitely recommend it. Is it $12, $13 or $14?!? This place is shady.... there are no prices listed on their menu, so they just make up whatever price they think you are willing to pay. I charged my food on my credit card and they added tax of 9.5% but I later found out the tax rate is only 8%. A friend of mine was charged $22 for egg rolls and popcorn chicken (yes, 22 freaking dollars!). Food was mediocre at best and can tell that they're trying to skimp wherever possible to make a few extra dollars. This place is not pho king awesome, it's a pho king rip-off. read more

About 2 years ago, I introduced my boyfriend to pho. Fast forward a year, and he introduced me to Pho King Awesome and the amazingly friendly crew that runs it! My first time experiencing their food was at Anime Expo 2015. I've always been sketchy about eating food off of food trucks because of past experiences at SDCC. But, I was amazed at how great the food tasted. I absolutely love the variety of items they have. I constantly run into them (on purpose) at Cons in LA & LB. Pho: coming from a food truck, this seems like a difficult task to take on. But, they've managed to give it such rich flavor and a hearty amount of beef/noodles. I usually add tons of Sriracha in my pho when I go to sit down spots, but I never feel the need to drown theirs in hot sauce. Psycho beef sticks: DELICIOUS! The sauce drizzled all over, I can't get enough of it. Add some rice on the side, and its a beautiful little dish worth the wait. If you're too afraid to try anything else, this should be your go-to item. Asian Cajun Chicken: Where do I even begin to describe how hooked I am on this stuff?! The spicy mayo, the sesame seeds, the rice (white or fried... you can't go wrong with either), THE CHICKEN! This is my usual go-to item, mainly because the flavor and the urge to get seconds after eating it (and I usually do get 2nds) Spicy Asian Tacos: Tacos. Amazing tasting tacos. That's literally all you need to know. Eat it, you won't regret it. O.G Fried Rice: I'm usually not a fan of sausage in my food, but this stuff tastes great! They give a great amount for the price, too. I LOVE fried rice, and again, coming from a food truck, it does not disappoint. Plus, they have a Tofu substitute if you're not into meat. There's still more items I've yet to try, but I do plan on having a go at each of them at future events that I'll run into them at. I know many people have complained about wait times, but when there's a good amount of people in line to order, it's expected. Just like any other food chain/restaurant. Be patient, the people that run these trucks are so humble and grateful. They truly make the wait worth it! read more

Pho King Fraud. Waited over 30 minutes to get some of the worst pho I've ever tasted (and I've tried over 50 different pho restaurants). The vegetables were wilted, the broth had a weird sweet favor, the noodles were all clumped together, and you were given a child-sized portion. If you're going to declare your pho to be awesome, then you should be able to back your claim at least somewhat. read more

Okay...look no more. So I love all types of soup and have been looking for that kind of soup when you know it's going to taste good after the first sip. Sometimes a broth is diluted or just too salty. But this place got their broth right!!! I got their chicken pho and mannnnn their chicken is soooo downright juicy. I was at Long Beach Comic Con last weekend and was super excited to see food trucks lined up outside the convention center especially a truck with Pho. The con lasted 2 days and each day I lined up at Pho King Awesome for Pho. The broth is AMAZING! Super beefy, great balance of spices and RICH. You can always tell good pho by the broth and theirs rocks!!! The noodles aren't precooked so you don't have to fight to break them apart. The portions are good sized (for me) and I love that they have brisket as well as slices of meatballs with their noodles. Yum! I also ordered the chicken tacos for my husband and he really enjoyed them. When I came back on the 2nd day, they recognized me which was very nice. If you see Pho King Awesome in your neighborhood, definitely stop by and have some Pho. I know I will. read more
