Great experience there. I especially appreciate it is a small family business. It was an exceptional busy day for them given the crowd from the water park. They kept coming to apologize for the wait but it wasn't really a long wait. The pho were on point. My kids love the broth. We had the beef cube rice which was well-seasoned. I would skip the short rib pho because the meat is kind of hard. The fried chicken is great!!! Side note: my 7 yo left her purse and the waiter came out with the tiny girl's purse looking for us. TLDR: Good food, extremely overpriced. Ordered beef pho. Average serving size, good ingredients. Fresh and crisp. However, charging New York City prices for this dish -- I've had this in northern NJ locations for $3-4 less! Not a generous helping of beef (especially considering the price), but enough. Served with appropriate condiments (hoisin sauce, sriracha) without asking, that was a nice touch. Broth was a little thinner, less rich than expected, but tasty. read more

Came on a Sunday afternoon and they were pretty much busy so we just bought takeout food; and we were pretty happy with a quick and friendly service. The food is a bit on the pricier side compared to the city...with some entrees ranging around $20; but considering the fresh ingredients, and authentic flavorful Vietnamese dishes, you really get more than what you pay for.. Highly recommended for those who want a home taste quality meal without breaking the bank. The beef pho was so good and so close to home taste; and we finished so fast ; forgot to take the pictures ... the bubble tea is the bomb ; so perfectly balanced with the food. Stopped for takeout late on a Tuesday evening. The man behind the counter was very friendly and helped us place our orders. In a short while a nice young woman brought us our huge bags!! All the necessary ingredients were included. What an explosion of flavor! Fantastic Pho dishes & lots of it! Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. Next time I'm in the area going to dine in since it looked neat & clean. Btw - nice touch when we heard the owner ask a diner if he enjoyed his dine in meal. I recently made a trip to Monticello, on a cold rainy day thought a bowl of Phó would hit the spot. I would consider myself a fan of Phó considering I have my spot at my local area. The place is almost in a hole in the wall. seating area was smaller than i thought, after looking at the pictures from Yelp. Server seems like the owner, seemed really nice. i ordered 1 order of Summer Rolls and a Combo Pho. the Summer rolls were thin, i'm used to shrimp and pork, their rolls shrimp only. $13? idk about that price for cheap summer rolls. for the drinks got a tea and buyer beware. got charged $12 for a tall tea. it's just hot water with a tea bag. WTF. ok, so as far as the main dish. the bowl was so small, i mean $23 for a combo bowl, when i'm used to paying $15 for a BIG bowl. i can't believe people actually support this. i mean Monticello is small, the neighborhood has no idea how cheap Phó is to make. This restaurant is robbing the town.. $95 for 2 bowls of Phó, 1 order of summer rolls, 2 teas and 1 fruit drink. If you are visiting Monticello, PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE. overall taste is mediocre at best. i get it, the owner opened in a place where there is not much competition, and the people don't know they are eating subpar food. wouldn't go back if i was starving. read more

Came here with my family on a Thursday night around 7pm and had a very odd experience. There was one other family seated at a table that appeared to be waiting for their food to be served and one person waiting for a takeout order. The person behind the counter appeared to be packing a takeout order and did not look up or acknowledge us or the other person that walked through the door behind us for several minutes. When we finally got their attention and asked for a table they said "oh sorry, we're closed." I asked if we can place an order to go and they said "no we're not taking anymore orders." I asked what time they closed and they oddly replied, "Well, we usually close at 9pm but we just got a big order so we're going to make it and go home." I found this an extremely strange thing for a hole in the wall business to do since they are literally saying no to money walking through the door. I'm not going to go as far as to call them a liar but something was definitely off about this whole exchange. We ended up getting dinner at a restaurant down the street where we received prompt and friendly service and left a hefty tip. It ended up working out for the best as I noticed that the menu PRICES at this supposed pho place were OUTRAGEOUS: e.g., $20+ beef pho and $13 for 4 spring rolls. I hope they can improve their customer service and perhaps put some effort into managing whatever issues caused them to just call it quits and stop making food a full two hours before their scheduled closing time. read more

As a Vietnamese-American I am very picky with my Vietnamese food a lot of the good Vietnamese restaurants had shut down and I was really disappointed. During a road trip with my family we were hungry and decided to stop by this viet restaurant. We got the shrimp summer rolls as appetizers to share and they were BIG! We all got a lunch special but I got the beef pho and my parents got the rice with pork chop a with mixed veggies. To finish off we got the flan AND IT WAS DELICIOUSSSS!!! The customer server was great they were super cool, really nice and sweet! The ambiance was kinda like a chill cafe typa vibe and it's nice to stop by on a nice road trip :) read more
