So we ordered the chicken spring rolls and i wish we hadn't. It tasted like they were stuffing those things with week old chicken! Very tough to chew. As for the pho, we ordered the regular combination meat and a large combination meat with imitation crab and a fish ball. They mixed our orders up and out the seafood items in the reg and were hesitant on fixing it??? I scooped it out and gave it to my husband. When they gave us the garnishes, they only have us 3 small lime wedges.... when i asked for more, she only gave me 2 more SMALL wedges. Im guessing we're experiencing a worldwide shortage on limes because what's up with that? As for taste, it was nothing special. Not bad but not exceptional. We went here around 2pm after some shopping in the area. It was surprisingly busy, but plenty of tables available. We ordered the large brisket pho, with egg, and it was delicious. It came out quick, with all of the lovely things to add in: cilantro, lime, etc. The table set ups have everything you'd need, including fish sauce! We ordered the egg rolls to share and the grilled pork and shrimp noodle bowl. The egg rolls were okay, served hot with yummy sauce. The noodle bowl was served cold, meat was warm but way over cooked which made it chewy, shrimp were okay. Flavor was good with great sauce to pour over the dish. Sorry, just an opinion from an honest Vietnamese foodie that eats pho and Vietnamese food religiously every other day/week. My husband and I recently moved to Rosenberg so the first thing we wanted to do was be on the search for any close by Vietnamese restaurants that can provide us our weekly pho needs without us having to drive 30 mins to Bellaire every time. We looked up Pho House on Yelp and saw the shining 4 1/2 stars and was hopeful. We came for a Saturday lunch. There wasn't anyone dining in the restaurant but we figured it was an early lunch time. I ordered pho with meatballs and brisket (pho Nam bo vien) and a limeade tea , and my husband played it safe and ordered the grilled chicken rice plate (com ga nuong) with a cafe sua da to drink. The cafe sua da literally tasted like water. It was bland and diluted. We were both stunned. Like how can a Vietnamese restaurant screw up cafe sua da?? I'm not the type to return food, but this was one of the rare times we knew we absolutely shouldn't pay for this. We told the waiter and had him take it back. He apologized and even admitted to us it was premade and was a previous batch. It tasted like a premade cafe sua da that was left with ice and all the ice melted and that's how they served it to us. The limeade tea was very tart. Pho was bland. Portions of the chicken was small and cut thinly. Fish sauce was watered down. The bill for those two entrees and a drink was $30 and we paid $35 in the end. That's pretty steep for Vietnamese food that didn't live up to par for us. Not sure how this place has such high ratings, but I'm assuming it's from people in the area that may not have a lot of other references to compare with. Back to Bellaire I go for Pho! read more

I'd like to think I'm a professional when it comes to certain foods. Pho being one of them, so when I saw that Pho House was opening in the area I was eager to try it. Upon walking in, we seated our selves and was given menus. I ordered iced tea and when tasted, it was actually jasmine (I think) iced tea. Which is fine, although not my first choice in iced teas. We ordered egg rolls for our appetizer, which were good, however I felt that they weren't crispy enough. The sauce also lacked that fish sauce flavor that I love so much. It was there, but very faint. So the pho, I ordered a #10 which I believe was a regular pho with eye round steak. Usually at other pho restaurants I order a pho tai bo vien, which is eye round steak and meatballs. There was no option here unless you wanted to order it for an extra cost. It rubbed me the wrong way but ok. The pho came out and it was just ok. I grew up with my mom's homemade pho, so all my comparisons are based on that. I felt like they didn't scrape off all the extra fat off the top because I was able to feel a good layer of fat on my lips. There was no oomph in the broth that made me want to come back for another bowl. Even after adding hoisin, sriracha and lime, it was still just ok. And the fact that it was $9.99 for a REGULAR bowl, I felt like it was a little much, especially for having just one meat. I would like to come back and try their rice dishes and see if there is some redemption. read more

I got the bahn mi and was disappointed in the quality. A good bahn mi always has fresh and crunchy bread. It seemed a little stale. The amount of vegetables and herbs they give is better then other places except maybe the Pho Shack, which is close to equivalent, but I think this place has them beat on flavor. This is my go to spot whenever I crave pho. All the ingredients they use are fresh and non gmo. The broth is very flavorful and no msg is added. Their other dishes are really good as well. My personal favorite is their combination rice plate which includes shrimp and pork. I'm also a fan of their house spring roll. The decor is modern/trendy which serves a great atmosphere for those people who would like to dine in. And last but not least, their service is top notch. Super friendly staff. I always enjoy discovering different places that offer Thai tea, but I was incredibly disappointed after coming here. I had ordered a regular Thai tea with boba, and I had bought my dad a milk green tea with boba as well. The tapioca itself was perfect, chewy and not too soft, and my dad really seemed to enjoy his drink. I'm typically used to pretty sweet tea so when I took the first sip of mine I was deeply disappointed. It had no sweetness at all and was incredibly bitter. I was very confused as my dads had a decent amount of sweetness to it, but mine was just incredibly tasteless. About 30 minutes after, I began to feel incredibly nauseous, and had to rush multiple times to the bathroom on false alarms of wanting to throw up. As much as it pains me to make this review, I think I'll be staying far away from here when it comes to tea. read more

Ordered summer rolls that were thin and the #20 beef. Noodles cold under meat. The meat tasted funny. i did not eat much. Young man asked how was it. I stated not good. He says, I'm sorry. I see him talking with who I assume is the manager. I asked for check so I could go and he brings it to me and says, I'm sorry. The manager should have come to talk with me, but he didn't have the balls to do so. I paid the $20 bill and left. I eat here every so often. This place is going in the wrong direction. Review 5! So my companions and I have known for awhile that this place has been open for what, 1-2 months now, but we've never had the time to check it out. Today on this rainy day we felt like Vietnamese so we were excited to come check it out. The place is small and mostly quiet, with a tv here and there. We were surprised to find that the menu was small, especially compared to other pho places I've been to. Ironically, none of our dishes were pho (guess we didn't feel like it) so can't tell you guys about the pho! We ordered egg rolls, a beef rice bowl, and two vermicelli buns. One char-grilled chicken (which was mine) and one combination. While I liked the filling of the egg rolls and they were crispy, they were pretty much bland. The sauce with it was also lackluster having almost no real flavor to me and not having the fish sauce taste (I think) that I normally would expect from this kind of sauce. This same sauce was served alongside my bun, which really didn't improve the flavor of the noodles that much, though the chicken was pretty good. Customer service was ok. I wasn't really impressed with this place but since it's still relatively new I'm hoping they can improve. read more

Had the Large chicken PHO.. It was very good, almost best I've experienced. .. The staff are nice , engage the customer and showed customer appreciation. The PHO broth is quite flavorful and generous portions of ingredients, noodles .chicken and herbs. Side dish includes sprouts, large-jalapeno slices and fresh basil. The fried V. egg rolls are crunchy, tasty, a bit small. I enjoyed my meal v. much.. of note : Hand sanitizer is available at both entries and at counter. Table are widely spaced. _ the chicken was separated, cut-up pieces and not the large pieces of sliced breast I have experience before. Even with a knife, some was difficult to cut into bite size pieces. The basil and sprouts could have been a day fresher. The A/C has trouble keeping place cool, especially near windows on August afternoon. I will return. read more

First off, we walked in and immediately were greeted. We walked in 20 min before closing, tired, a little cranky from a long drive,hoping we could still snag some good pho! We asked for the check early, knowing they were closing soon. And the server said "don't worry! Take your time!" Not only that but the owner personally brought us lemon tea and explained to us how the food there is made fresh every day, and that the tea helps with digestion while you're eating! We had a great chat with him, he was so friendly and accommodating! Local business is one thing but when the owner takes the time to talk to his customers, free complimentary tea, AND it's right before closing.. huge respect!
