Very calm and inviting restaurant in a small dining center. Parking is limited in the front for all of the other businesses but there is also parking in the back. Was greeted and seated as soon as I walked in. Soy sauce, ginger and spices are already on the table for your dining experience. I ordered one yellowtail sushi roll and a shaggydog. I also wanted to try the tempura bun. Everything came out fast but fresh. The hot saki was very good. The tempura bun was soft and had a sweet after bite to it. The shaggydog and yellowtail were both delish. was very pleased. I ordered a to-go plate of kimchi fries. Today I found out I do not like kimchi. Im glad I tried it. Food was super delicious and the server was super kind. I enjoyed the restaurant decor and overall it was a really good experience. I will say however, my partner did not enjoy his meals as much as I enjoyed mine (chicken katsu is the best) and it seemed very busy with it seeming like they were understaffed causing longer wait periods. Now why is there not a location in Houston proper??? This place is sooo good! To that point when we arrived there was a wait and we had to get a buzzer which took about 10-15 mins to be seated. It was worth it! This restaurant is really cute. Its on the smaller side which also explains the wait. The service is quick and efficient! I I ordered spicy edamame which was interesting it tasted like tomato paste with spices essentially but still good. And kimchi for gut health! The belle of the ball is of course the sushi! They have an array of different sushi and rolls to pick from! I couldn't decided so I ordered 2 different rolls. Interestingly enough they both were served hot. I ordered the Louisiana roll 10/10. I love this place! It's tucked in-between the neighborhoods off 59. They have fresh sushi, I've never had a funny tasting fish or roll here! Their menu is interesting so give a few things a try! This is a causal restaurant on a strip mall with pretty decor. The menu has standard Japanese restaurant food. I love to have rolls when I am in a Japanese restaurant. So I had their popular Las Vegas roll, and Red Dragon roll. They have the 3 special roll combo sushi special which is a great price. Thus I ordered a Scorpion roll. The rolls were pretty good. The sauces were flavorful. The chicken strips in the chicken katsu were dry but the portion was good. I also got the kids ramen which had flavorful soup. The portion was just nice for two young kids to share or for a big kid. The staff were very friendly and checked in often. Parking lot is small, and there is no designated parking spot for the restaurant. So it would be a challenge during peak hours. read more

This place is delicious! We came on a Saturday for dinner and there was a lot of people but no wait. We walked in and were sat immediately. Our server was attentive - we ordered two sushi rolls - crunchy roll & snow mountain, got chicken and steak skewers and the shiitake tempura. 10/10! The only downside was the chicken skewers on the dry/burnt side. The ambiance and decor was super cute and loved the theme! The sashimi was thicker than steak. I felt like there was no thought in preparing the sashimi, it was like they tossed a large piece in our take out box. The price was outrageous for not being prepared well. The sushi was thick and too much. I like sushi and love when there is more, but this felt like I couldn't enjoy it, each piece was double the size and way too stuffed. It seemed that they just stuff everything in without being intentional about how it was prepared. So if you like really thick sushi that will make you nauseous, look no further. read more

Let me start off by saying the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The wall decor is lovely and the lanterns really take the interior to the next level. The food itself was ranging from average to solid. Some dishes were tasty (the avocado tempura = ) but the rest were meh. Definitely far from inedible yet not amazing. The service was incredibly friendly but a bit slow no major complaints. I would 100% not recommend this establishment due to both the service and food quality. I ordered fried rice today, and the shrimp was so spoiled that you could smell it through the bag before even opening it. I brought it back to show them and asked for it to be remade, but everyone ignored and dismissed my concerns. When the food was "remade," they simply took the shrimp out and gave it back to me--it still had the same foul smell. They eventually returned my money, but only after the cook came out and yelled, "What, it taste like shit?" He then picked up a spoon and ate the food himself in the kitchen while I stood there waiting for my money return. read more

Went here for a birthday dinner for my 7 year old who loves Japanese style noodles and food in general. Great choice for him and for us. Cozy restaurant with Japanese anime and touches all over adding to the ambiance. We loved the menu variety which was some of our favorite Pan Asian finds (including Thai curry, katsu etc) and indulged in sushi, ramen and yakisoba noodles to our hearts content. All the food was hot when it came to the table which we love. I really enjoyed my spicy Miso ramen. Not too spicy but filled with great flavor and the soft boiled egg was cooked exactly how I liked it. We also ordered 2 tempura fried rolls, the Kimibimap and the Houston roll. The bulgogi one wasn't my favorite but the kids liked it a lot. Houston roll was delicious. Plenty of food for 2 adults and 3 kids and bill was very reasonable. Service was excellent. Came here as a table of 7 on a Saturday night due to being in the area. I mainly wanted to try the ramen as I've seen great reviews. Inside was really nice and quite both modern and traditional. Tonkatsu Ramen: The broth was not bad. I added some flakes to give it a kick and some spice since I wanted it to be more rich and flavorful. Noodles and toppings were good. The chashu was a little bit disappointing since it was really more fat that was congealed than actual meat, and normally I wouldn't mind that if the fat was soft and adds good texture and taste to it. Spicy tuna and salmon: Good rice-to-fish ratio. Very solid. Sashimi: Escolar: Good texture and not too fishy Capatchio: The fish itself was light but the sauce was very heavy and strong. Eel (Unagi): Tasty Tokyo Roll: Good flavors, you taste more of the fish and then the roll separately rather as joint flavors Scallop Sushi: Solid Skewers: It was good Squid: Chewy and not much besides that. Loved the experience!! Got the Aji Tonkatsu and the Japanese cream soda and it was an awesome combination. The Aji Tonkatsu is very well balanced and perfectly salted- the chashu, egg, corn, and noodles balanced so harmoniously together and I didn't feel the need to even add hot sauce or anything. Not mind blowing but also a very strong, sturdy bowl of warmth!!! I'd order again Loved the melon drink I got We also ordered salmon sashimi and it was delicious!!! Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. The manager also stopped by to check on us during our meal, and was very hospitable! We started out with two ribeye skewers, just for a quick appetizer. They were very delicious and made a good smaller portion appetizer, since it was just two of us. The pork skewers are also good, but we didn't order this time. Kids ramen is a good size portion, we had leftovers! It had pork in it, which was delicious. The Las Vegas roll was also very good.
