Went to there eat back in April and found a baby roach in my pho. The server talked to someone in the back and they offered to remake it (I said no obviously) and then they offered a mere 20% off. I thought it was ridiculous to not comp the whole meal. I wish I just refused to pay but I was in shock that I almost ate a roach. They then tried to play it off as a fly to the health department but it didn't have wings and had long limbs. Either way it was a disgusting experience and I'm disappointed that they had us pay at all.

This is my second to go order of their number eight and summer rolls. The restaurant is very clean the staff are very friendly. I think I will probably keep ordering food from this establishment. If you like Vietnamese food or are curious, give them a try. Also I usually get at least two meals out of this..so, yum.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - we both ordered #15 of Pho with steak, flank, fatty flank, tendon, and tripe but one was regular and the other a large. When the orders arrived, they were the same size though. The broth was well flavored without being too salty and all of the proteins were really good. Sometimes the flank steak can be quite dry but since it was so thin, it was still quite good. The mint leaves they provided was a bit sad on the bottom Ambience: 5/5 - large store with lots of space between the tables. Clean and bright with the workers wiping down each table after the customers leave. Service: 5/5 - super friendly lady but seemed like English might not be her first language. Dude who brought out the food was super smiley that you can't help but smile as well! Value for price: 4/5 - good food and reasonable price. However, one of us had diarrhea after so not sure if it was the mint leaves or sriracha...

Great little place. They have a kind of cafeteria feel to the restaurant but the service is excellent and the food is excellent. The avocado roll is to die for. Wish for sake but you can't always get what you want.

When I worked at Tech TV in San Francisco, I used to take the shuttle over to our studio and from there trek over to hole in the wall pho place to get some vermicelli with barbecue pork with a side of crunchy egg roll in a sweet chili sauce . That was like playing Russian roulette because back then they didn't care if you had a peanut allergy so if they fried the egg roll in peanut oil then good luck to you because even if you asked which oil they used, they'd tell you it wasn't peanut oil. So maybe your throat closes up, maybe it doesn't, but this place was worth that risk because that plate of food was so freaking good. I went back recently and that place was so hole in the wall, I couldn't find it anymore. Curse my crappy memory!!! Going to Pho Hoa brought me back memories of working at that company because their pork with vermicelli and egg roll tastes almost the same and that is delicious. They put the peanut sprinkle on the side so I could taste it before my sister poured it on and ate the rest of the dish. I also love their shrimp and pork summer rolls. I'm usually not a fan of spring rolls because somehow, some way, peanuts end up in those things all the times, but the waitress looked very concerned when I said I was allergic to peanuts so she made sure the cook did get fancy and made it clear to him not to use peanuts. It does come with a peanut sauce, so they left that out and gave me chili sauce, but the plum sauce they provide on the table for the pho is a better match. Lol, I'm singing the praises of a pho restaurant and I'm not going to say anything about the pho, because I hate pho. Not their fault- I'm one of those people who thinks cilantro tastes like dishwater, but nothing but love for this place. Can't wait to try the bahn mi because I do love a good bahn mi and have had some great ones in LA. Hope I find a new favorite here. The dining room is clean, spacious with high ceilings and is really impressive for being a chain restaurant.

Food was fast and delicious. I had spring rolls and peanut sauce and my mom had popcorn chicken with sweet chili sauce. Service was fast and happy. Answered any questions we had quickly and happily. We will be back soon and recommend all of my friends.

Service was great as we were seated upon entering and the server was very attentive. The food was good and flavorful. You can never go wrong with Pho and Banh Mi. My eldest boy loved the popcorn chicken and he's a picky eater so that says a lot in our opinion. We also had chicken wings that was yummy as well. As far as the ambiance, the restaurant is clean and well kept which is important to us. I loved how open and spacious it was with plenty of seating tables. The win was the fact that there was a Happy Lemon connected to their restaurant. Btw, this was our first time eating here and will definitely return when in the area.

    Number 27

So I have been here several times and I have always thought it is just a step above taste and flavor and portion-wise what you would expect for a place of this price. Then today I finally tried the Number 27, the Vietnamese Stew and it prompted me to finally write a yelp review about this great restaurant. The pho here is truly top notch, the fried rice is a large potion of rich and delicious meat and egg-full rice, and the Number 27 is kind of a perfect stew. The meat was honestly hands down the best done stew beef I've had and the broth was so rich and delectable. The service is almost always quick and efficient. The ambience is great, tables are spread out with tvs showing different channels (pick a channel you like to face!) and it hasn't gotten too busy or loud when I've been there. And they give you a small bowl of broth with a fried rice. Definitely go here.

They're a small shop setup to mainly handle takeout orders, but there are 2 - two-tops on the inside and 2 - two-tops on the outside as well. The food: Laksa - I love Laksa, but it's just so hard to find in the US. A lot of ingredients and seafood go into this thing. This version hit the spot. Seafood, coconut, spices, and a little bit of a kick. Chicken Rice - Our dish came with a healthy portion of rice, 4 slices of chicken, and cucumber. The staff let us try both the ginger sauce and the chili sauce. Chicken was tender and flavorful. Nasi Lemak - I could have just eaten the coconut rice, fried omelette, and sauce. Those went so well together. The dish also came with a chicken drumstick and some small salty, crispy fish. Since they're not setup well for dine-in customers, food is served with plastic bowls and utensils, which is a non-preferred way to eat some of these dishes. The owner is very friendly and talked to us a bit about the food and the restaurant. He's Singaporean and learned some of the recipes from his grandmother. The store is run by his family and I think it's great how they treat tourists and locals. Overall, really happy with the food and our visit here. If you're missing Singaporean food or you're looking to try something different and flavorful, this makes for a great stop in Olympia.

Tge broth has a kick, but is not as creamy as I like; my friend liked the Chicken Garam Curry she got. Portion is quite small, but reasonable for the price (under $15). We also got Chicken and BBQ Pork puffs to-go, and had it for breakfast the next morning.

They hold against the teeth the way good noodles should. The broth comes through, then the pork, and then the marinated egg with its dark, quiet flavor. It is more authentic than the ramen you buy at the Asian grocer and take home to make yourself. There is something different about a bowl made by someone who knows what the bowl is supposed to be. The room was not what you might imagine when you think of ramen. It was somewhere between a teriyaki place and a sandwich shop. The building was full of businesses and the room belonged to the building. There was nothing wrong with that. A man does not need much from a room when he has a good bowl in front of him. The waitresses understand this. They come by often. They look at the table and see what is needed. Water. Another thing. Anything that is not quite right. They take care of it. That matters. Unfortunately, I was looking at an outdated menu on Yelp, so the spicy tofu soup is no longer on the lunch specials, AND if you want a "lunch special," it needs to be specified when placing the order. I assumed that because it was lunch time, I would be paying the lunch pricing? That wasn't the case when I arrived. Parking seems to only be on the same side as the barber shop (which i think is connected to the restaurant as well?). When I walked in, I didn't really check out the place. Seems like a classic no-frills Korean restaurant. An ajumma (아줌마) appeared at the register after a couple seconds (lol that is the first description that came to mind). I informed her of my phone order and she brought out the food and rang me up for around $55? I was thinking, yikes, that's a steep price for a spicy tofu soup and a lunch special of the galbi and mentioned it to her. She told me that the portion made is not the lunch special and next time, make sure to specify that over the phone if I want the Lunch special or dinner portion. She clarified, while acting out the mannerisms, of customers that would complain about the Lunch special, because they would want a dinner portion instead, so she just places general orders as the dinner portion. (I can already imagine the Karens she must have received for her reaction, which is understandable, but at the time, I was just slightly irritated since I was hoping to pay a cheaper price.) I am assuming after this experience, there is a difference in portion size for the lunch and dinner pricing.. Besides the miscommunication, I can at least say that the food was prepared quickly since it was ready by the time I arrived at the restaurant (about 15 mins after I placed the order?). With the outcast weather, I was craving some soondubu, and Seoul Garden definitely delivered! The tofu portions were generous and the broth was the right amount of spicy where you can taste the flavor but it is not overwhelming. I was not expecting so many complementary sides either! They paired very well with the rice and galbi, which was thoroughly marinated in a delectable glaze. Even though I was initially frustrated that I received the dinner portion, I calmed down after eating the galbi. My son and I actually ended up devouring it.. the food was so good, I totally forgot about the pricing at the moment. Just keep in mind though, this place is not advertised as KBBQ, so you're paying for individual plates/dishes/orders that should already be cooked. I would only recommend this restaurant if there are certain staples you really enjoy (i.e. you're only craving bulgogi but don't want to go out to eat or grill it), because it is arguably just as expensive as KBBQ. But if you're a foodie that can afford it, I'd suggest stopping by to try it out yourself! :)
