Pho, Seafood Egg Rolls / Chả Giò Hải Sản
    Danica

Came to Pho Flavor and really enjoyed it. Ordered the pho with northern style broth, southern style noodles, brisket, flank, and filet mignon, as well as the seafood eggrolls. The pho was served in this unique double layered pot - broth and noodles on the bottom, while the bean sprouts, jalapeños, and other veggies were on top. I appreciated how they didn't give so many veggies as well which really avoided waste. The pho was solid and tasted pretty high quality. The seafood eggrolls were delicious too, and it's pretty rare to see that on a menu, so loved that as well. Cozy and casual spot with good service. No negative notes, and would definitely come back!

#5 Pho Tai Chin - Southern Style

First time at the Garden Grove Pho Flavor--closer to home, and somehow better than Fountain Valley if that's possible. I love the Northern Style Pho (flat silky noodles with a dark, rich, complex broth)--I ordered the Pho Tai LAN with garlic fried ribeye--spectacularly garlicky (now vampire proof for 24 hrs)! My spouse got the southern style #5 Pho Tai Chin. We ordered a free side of white onions to split Friendly efficient service The presentation is adorable Super generous meat in each serving Clean bright space Plenty of parking

Pho with beef rib add on

Pho Flavor exceeded expectations. I ordered the Northern style pho with wide noodles and added the beef rib, and it was one of the things that made this place stand out right away since Northern style pho is harder to find. The broth alone will have me coming back. It was deeply flavorful, rich, and comforting without feeling too heavy. You can taste the care that goes into it. The beef rib add on was absolutely worth it. It was tender, meaty, and such a great complement to the soup. I also loved the wide noodles, which made it feel a little different from the typical bowl of pho. What also stood out was how elevated everything felt. The restaurant has a modern, clean vibe and the presentation is thoughtful in a way you do not often see at pho spots. Instead of the usual sauce bottles sitting on the table, the sauces are served in a dish, which felt much more intentional. Even the basil comes presented in a bottle like a floral arrangement, which was such a beautiful touch. I appreciated that it felt true to Northern style pho while also offering a more refined dining experience. From the flavorful broth to the thoughtful presentation, this place delivers both comfort and quality. Definitely a place I would come back to.

You really can't go wrong with pho in garden grove but pho flavor is doing it different with their stackable plates which is so cool and aesthetic lol. They also have a really cool little basil plant on the table that you can take home with you when you're done eating. And needless to say they are one of the healthier pho in little Saigon because they don't use seed oils and grass fed beef as well. Go check them out when you're in the mood for some bomb pho and looking for a new spot.

#5 Pho Grassfed Eyeround and Brisket / Phở Grassfed Tái Chín northern style

Came here on a Saturday night around 10 pm since we were driving back to LA from Oceanside. Plenty of parking in the large plaza. We were greeted and seated immediately but most tables in the quaint space were taken and there seemed to be a waitlist not too long before we arrived. I've only gotten to try northern style pho once before so I was excited to have the opportunity again. My boyfriend and I ordered the cha gio egg roll appetizer ($9) and we each got the #5 pho tai chin northern style ($15.00). They put a little glass bottle of water on your table with mint sprigs that you can take home!! You better believe I took it home lol. Food was ready fast. The egg rolls were the ones with typical golden wrapper (not the rice paper ones which are my favorite) and they were a bit on the smaller side. They also only provided a small amount of mint and 3 small flower shaped cut out pickled radishes and 3 of the same for carrots. A bit disappointing that there wasn't more veg because I love adding it but the egg rolls themselves were super flavorful and had large chunks of shrimp inside. The pho was served in a big fancy ceramic container with matching bowl plates stacked on top that contained veg (bean sprouts, jalapeños, limes) and sauce (sriracha and hoisin). You could definitely tell the soup was different than the typical southern style. More spices and very savory! I poured half of my sauce inside and dipped the meat and noodles into the remaining sauce. There was so much meat! We were able to finish everything but were stuffed. We paid at the counter and used the restroom and were out in less than an hour. Pretty inexpensive and definitely worth it! Would come again.

First time trying northern style Pho and I was in love. My girlfriend and I came by for a late dinner on the way home from SD on a Saturday. We were sat immediately when we arrived thankfully as the restaurant was almost at capacity. The inside is a bit small that may struggle to sit parties more than 6 but it's still well decorated and featured a couple tvs playing some kpop. Our pho bowls came out only a few minutes after ordering which was nice as we were hungies. The ceramic aesthetic of the bowls were so cute, and even better that they held a generous portion. We did order large size pho soups, but even still they were not stingy with the brisket which I appreciated. Their broth was certainly nice and beefy, savory, and was of course even better with their add-ins ( siracha, hoisin, bean sprouts, and Thai basil) . We scraped our bowls quickly and would certainly return if ever in the area. The prices were fair and quality was great! The staff is friendly, and efficient. If ever in the area, I'm sure we'd consider returning for another pho fix :)

Two bowls of phở tái chín and bánh quẩy

It was our first time visiting this restaurant, and the pho tasted great. There wasn't a wait, so we got seated immediately. While researching different pho spots, I was intrigued at the reviews that mentioned the stackable bowls. I ordered the phở tái chín ($15), which came with your choice of northern- or southern-style pho and eye-round brisket. When we got our menu, there was an interesting explanation of the differences between northern and southern pho styles. Northern-style pho has a rich broth from herbs and spices with flat and large noodles. Southern-style pho, which I'm more accustomed to, has a light and savory broth with medium-sized rice noodles. The lunch was a cute experience with three stackable bowl tiers: sauces, garnish, and pho. It was a fun lifting each bowl to see what lied underneath. There were also little vases each with Thai basil that you can pluck off yourself. It was pleasant to have all the amenities on our table. We also had a water pitcher to pour ourselves a cup. The price for what you get is great. At some angles, the bowl may look small, but there was a lot of broth. Comparable to other pho restaurants I've tried, the amount of noodles and meat is standard (plenty). The broth tasted deliciously pleasant, even better with the garnishes provided. We also got bánh quẩy ($3): three fried dough sticks. I've thought of this as usually a breakfast dish, but it complemented the pho really well.

Great pho with northern and southern options. They give you basil in a cup and you can take it home with you. All the veggies come in a bowl including the sauce. A little gimmicky but it's convenient. Wish they gave more veggies though. You can get thin or thick noodle with any bowl. Egg rolls are really good here but small

    Phở Băc Đặc Biệt

I came here because I just learned that there's two styles of Phở - North and South style. I never tried the North style. I'm no Phở connoisseur, but I didn't notice a difference, maybe I should have ordered both to compare. But it was still good. I ordered the Phở Băc Đặc Biệt. When I was reading the menu I thought I had to pick one type of meat, but it comes with all the meats. It was really tasty and I cleaned that bowl up. I really like how it's served. It's in a three layer bowl. The first part has the broth, meat and noodles, the middle part is the veggies and the top is the sauces. It was cool. I also got the Asian donuts, I would have liked it more if there was sugar or chocolate to dip it in as I was craving for something sweet. The place is nice and clean. Plenty of parking. The service was great. I sat down, they took my order and then I got my food like in a minute. It was fast. When you're done you go to the register and pay. It's cool a place to get Phở.

It's kind of fun the way they serve your pho and toppings lol. Otherwise it's a great pho, not the best in the area but still good. For 18 bucks though? Idk Dac biet bac: Get The broth was clean and flavorful. Not too sweet and I didn't have to add much except lime for it to be perfect for me. There's hella meat and the fresh noodles had a really good texture so i'd recommend getting that too if you're looking at building your own. However 18 bucks for pho? Inflation or am i just too frugal now LOL idk Besides that service was decent and inside was clean and nice. Little bouquet of herbs too lol so they trying. Food: 8/10 Service: 6/10 Atmosphere: 7/10 Price: 5/10

Pho Flavor in Garden Grove is a great spot when you're craving a solid bowl of pho. I ordered the beef pho to go, and the portion was huge. The bowl was big enough that I shared it with my brother, and there was still so much food that I couldn't even finish my share and had to bring some home. I like that they offer two styles for the pho -- Eastern style, which has leaner cuts, and Western style, which includes richer, fattier cuts. I opted for the Eastern style because I prefer the thinly sliced, leaner beef, and it was perfect. The broth was very flavorful, comforting, and exactly what you want from a good pho. Ordering was easy too -- I walked in, placed my order, and they had it ready quickly for takeout. Generous portions, great flavor, and fast service. Definitely a place I'd come back to again. Correction, my apologiesThank you for sharing that work me

Nice staff! Ordered northern style pho. Came on a Sunday with my family and we were seated quickly.

First time here, and it was definitely a unique pho experience. I liked that they offer both Northern- and Southern-style pho--one with thicker noodles and one with the classic thin noodles. It's a nice option if you're looking for something a little different from the usual. I ordered the prime rib pho, but I believe I may have received the wrong cut. The menu photo shows a prime rib with a bone, but mine didn't come with one and seemed more like smaller brisket pieces. That said, the broth and overall flavor were still very good, so it didn't take away too much from the meal. For appetizers, we ordered spring rolls, but they only offer deep-fried spring rolls, not the classic fresh Vietnamese-style spring rolls. They were still good--just something to know ahead of time if you're expecting the traditional version. The space is very tight, so I wouldn't recommend coming with kids, especially with a stroller. Tables and chairs are close together, and it would be easy for kids to bump into walls or nearby tables. Overall, great flavors and a unique take on pho. I'd come back again, just with clearer expectations and probably without kids.

They specialize in egg noodles - served either dry (with broth and main protein on the side) or wet like a conventional soup bowl. My personal go-to is the dry mì sủi cảo - egg noodles with sliced / ground pork, huge wonton dumplings, a shrimp cracker, and broth on the side. The wontons come in a super rich and delicious sauce that I actually got scolded for pouring over my noodles lol. The light and clear broth is very refreshing and well-seasoned. Excellent mix of perfectly balanced flavors from every component. Add chili crisp for extra oomph. My wife loves the mì gà quay - fried chicken leg & thigh with the signature egg noodles. The broth on the side is so refreshing! What I love most is that this restaurant is still very affordable, $10.99 for a bowl of dry noodles is amazing. Definitely a returning customer!

I picked the Sò Lông Nướng Mỡ Hành & it was really good. But then I felt something hard when I was chewing & I think I chipped part of my tooth - I'm going to go home & have my boyfriend check it for me & I'll attach the photo of my chipped tooth. Anyway, I have a crown cap so I wasn't super alarmed, but still a bit shook. I still finished my food but I politely tried to let one of the cashiers know. I showed him & everything & he was apologetic & asked what they could do to fix the situation. So I asked for a refund. And the other cashier said in Vietnamese something about me, like "Con nhỏ này" & I thought maybe he's talking about something else-but then when he gave me the receipt of my refund, he said "and I don't want you to be a customer here anymore." I was very appalled and I stood there wondering if he really just said that to me after I had an experience. I asked him why he didn't want me to be a customer anymore. And he turns to a customer to ring them out, ignoring me. So I waited til he was done with that transaction & repeated my question. He flat out said "because you're annoying." WOW. That's just so rude. And unfortunate bc I thought the food was really good & wanted to come back for the clam & the sweet corn milk. So I definitely wouldn't want to be a customer anyways with that kind of attitude towards a customer. Btw they give you plastic utensils here even for dining in which is a con.

Overall a decent place with many options for Vietnamese food, both big meal dishes and fun street food. Here what we tried: Ngheu Hap Thai (Thai Style Clams) - the clams were big and the broth is very flavorful! My mom really enjoyed it! Mi Vit Tiem (Duck Noodle Soup) - absolutely love the broth! So clean and herbal like! The noodle texture is interesting, as it is not your usual egg noodles. Not sure if I like it over the traditional egg noodles. Still a good dish! Banh Canh Tom Cua (Vietnamese Crab & Shrimp Udon) - there were so much crabs and shrimps in the bowl. The broth is good, just a little bland and needed to add some fish sauce. Mi Sui Cao (Wonton Dried Noodles) - love the wonton and the fried shrimp crunchy thing. The seasoning is really, but I don't think I like the noodles they used. Sup Cua (Vietnamese Crab Soup) - so much toppings in the soup! Love the century's egg!

Long time customer here!…read more They have a brand new dish: Bún Chả Cá Thì Là. The fish and the fish cakes are super tasty, and the amount of thì là (dill) they use makes it the perfect combo. It really nails that traditional Northern-style flavor profile. Pro tip: make sure to mix in some sa tế, as it completely amplifies the broth and takes it to the next level! Also, I'm so hyped that the Cháo Sườn Quẩy is FINALLY back on the menu! It came out piping hot and is just as comforting as I remember. Honestly, this bowl right here is what keeps me coming back and craving more. Solid spot, totally hits the spot if you want some legit, comforting Northern food.

Food Bánh Mì Pate Que (2) - $5.99 Served as two pieces, this Hải Phòng-style bánh mì came with pate, shredded pork, and a house chili sauce. The bread was nicely toasted and served warm, making it easy to share. Bánh Ướt Đặc Biệt - $14.50 Steamed rice sheets topped with pork patties, fried tofu, and fresh vegetables, served with a house fish sauce. The sauce leaned light and slightly sweet, which may appeal to some but felt a bit mild overall. Bún Chả Hà Nội - $16.50 Rice vermicelli served with grilled pork, pork patties, fresh herbs, and house fish sauce. Similar to the other dish, the sauce was on the lighter side in terms of flavor. The protein portions also felt a bit small for the price. Service My party and I were greeted and seated promptly upon our arrival. A server brought menus and returned shortly after to take our order. However, they did not check-in throughout the dining experience. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing and the food came out quickly. Payment is processed at the register near the back by the kitchen. Ambiance The restaurant is dimly lit with plenty of seating for dine-in. Location It is located in a strip plaza with a shared parking alongside other businesses.
