My husband and I came on a Thursday night. It wasn't busy but there was a steady stream of customers. I ordered the Grilled Pork noodles and my husband ordered the combination fried rice. The wait wasn't too long and the dishes came out fresh and hot. The veggies in my bowl were fresh/crisp. Next time I'm gonna try the pho! It looked so good. The restaurant was very clean. Omg I forgot to take pictures! But OooooMmmmGggg! My daughter wasn't feeling well so I came to get some pho . 1st off let me say I ordered it and when I got there to pick it up it was so much food ! They put everything separate so you can add it how you like . Man.. THIS was a treat.. the broth was sooooooo delicious and seasoned ! It didn't have a weird taste at all ( I say that because I stopped eatting pho because everywhere I went it had a weird aftertaste ) not here tho! We received 2 Hugh almost 32 oz cups .. a tray of rice noodles , fresh jalapeños, green onions , and a host of other goodies ( I don't know what those leaves are but babiiiii they could have gave me more cause they were so good ) I didn't really put any rice noodles in mine cause I just didn't . There was also plenty of chicken ! My soup lasted me 2 days! I had it for dinner then for lunch the next day! I will definitely most def be back again! I could eat this at least once a week lol! We wanted to try this place since it's close to home and it had good reviews; however, I have to say we were very disappointed right from the start. I got there before my husband so I ordered a hot green tea and the shrimp spring roll app. The inside of the tea pot was dirty as was the silverware and the spring rolls were just a mix of shredded iceberg lettuce, rotten sprouts and shrimp placed on top, and the peanut sauce seemed like it was just a jarred sauce. When my husband got there I told him I didn't want to give the rest of the meal a chance so we paid and left. Most spring rolls we order from other restaurants are wrapped with a nice fresh green lettuce, crunchy sprouts, sometimes carrots and other veggies with the shrimp deveined and split open but these were truly awful. read more

I got the flat steak and brisket combo pho and the combo fried rice . The pho was very good and the rice was the star of the show. If your looking for a place that seasons their food I recommend getting this ! I was looking forward to checking this restaurant out but was unfortunately disappointed. For appetizer we ordered grilled mussels and spring rolls. The mussels were cold with fishy flavor, just butter, onions and peanuts on it. I thought supposed to be grilled and put onion butter sauce or fish sauce on it.... and the rolls had more vermicelli than anything else in it. For entrees, my daughter had the kid's pho which the broth was good. My wife had the crawfish etouffe and was good as well with much flavor and wasn't as saucy and thinned out like other places we've been to. While my wife and daughter was almost finished their dish my shrimp po boy came out. There was no apology for it coming out super late either. Very hard to flag down service as well especially if you're seated in a corner. I personally think the bread is disproportionate to the fried shrimp inside. Need more coleslaw in the sandwich in my opinion. After 1 bite, too dry for me....nahhh, not gonna finish it for sure‍. When you check out make sure you check your receipt. I ordered grilled chicken vermicelli as a pick up order and when I got home the presentation of the platter looked bad. The lettuce and bean sprouts were brownish and the cucumber tasted old. The chicken was definitely old, it had that chicken after taste and smell and seemed as if they tried to conceal the smell and taste under the marinade of the chicken. Did not taste natural. Very salty and not well made. OH! And it had PEANUTS, full halved peanuts- too big for my taste. I understand that other places serve this dish with crushed peanuts and that is perfectly fine. Felt as if the peanuts were there to add more volume to the dish instead of adding more chicken. I did not even try the lettuce nor the sprouts. I also ordered two egg rolls and they tasted funky like if they used old food. I had previously gone there to eat phö and had the same experience with the vegetables. Overall, the food was not good and it was a waste of money. Disappointed. Not going back. I feel like this is low-quality Vietnamese food. read more

I would describe this place as just ok. We started out with shrimp spring rolls. They were bland and plain. For some reason they used iceberg lettuce and tiny shrimps. The peanut sauce was just a little runny too. Then we ordered Pho and fried rice. The Pho was ok. We still prefer Pho Palace. The fried rice was not that great. Again kind of bland. This review is for how the place is managed but the food is good no doubt. The reason for the 1 star is due to the poor service by the lady at the cash register.. here's the back store..... My BF & I live pretty close by and were happy to find this little place also we like to patronize family owned biz rather than the big chains. The first time my BF & I went here we ordered the catfish po boy and the chicken fried rice to go. My BF paid via his CC she rang us up and BF signed the little receipt. We didn't ask for the copy for the customer as we were standing right there and there was no other customer in the place so .... big mistake. She tore off the copy from the machine and had it in her hand and went in the back as we heard some one call out to her. We were waiting and she come out and throws a small wad of paper in the trash ( we didn't realize it was our copy of the receipt at that time). She brings out the food and hands it to us but doesn't let go of the bag. Awkward!!! My BF said thank you but she wouldn't let go but took it out of our reach and says you didn't pay!!!!! wtf???? long story short my BF was able to pull up his proof of payment on his phone and show her that we had indeed paid, she rattles off something in her language that we didn't understand so may be she was cussing us out who knows. Then I remembered the bit of paper wad she threw in the trash and insisted she take it out, needless to say she did and there was our receipt. She apologizes and we left shaking our heads. Assuming it was a genuine error I made the following mistake.... I just went there a few minutes ago to get pho soup. Ordered and gave her a $20 bill she returns 26c and my hand is still out expecting the 10$ in change as the bill was for $9 .74 . She looks at me and says I gave her only $10. I told her I gave her 20 and to please render the correct change. She glares at me and I told her to look up the cameras. She walks away and calls someone from the back and they go look at the what I assume are the cameras and comes back and insists I was wrong. I was kept waiting there for over 25 mins while they figure this camera and she comes back to me and says she doesn't have the password for the camera and it would take too long. Well, that's not my problem. Guess what folks..... all she had in the cash draw by her own admission is the 20 $ bill then how in God's name did she figure I gave her $10 ? Show me the "$10" then. I waited patiently got my food and left. So much for this bs. Also there were 2 gentlemen in MISD uniforms who watched the whole thing and were clearly upset as well as they had seen me hand over the $20 bill. Seems to be a systemic problem here!!!!! I have pasted this restaurant a many times and wanted to go in to eat so I went with my best friend. I ordered fried catfish, shrimp and calamari. The catfish was fried very hard but not done on the inside. The waitress insisted the fish was good but only offer to give a 10% discount. I would not recommend this place to eat. Very Good! Good was served up quickly and was excellent. Daughter-in-law is Vietnamese, so we eat lots of Vietnamese food, and we all loved it, including her. Pho and rice dishes were excellent.
