I had a taste for pho and this place popped up when I searched in Yelp. The place is on the end of a shopping center and is pretty spacious and clean. I assume there is probably a bad pipe or plumbing as there is a little stinch that you smell upon entering. It's not unbearable or knock you out but it's definitely a bad pipe. The service was fast and friendly. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. I got my order to go and ordered Chicken Pho & egg rolls. The eggrolls were great and nice & crunchy. The peanut dipping sauce it came with was good too, I can tell it had just come out of a fridge because it was a little gelatin but nothing a good shake didn't fix. The Pho, was very disappointing. The broth with the chicken pho had no flavor at all, i tried to spice it up with the hoisin and siracha but it just didn't taste like anything. So, I went back and orders a side of beef broth, hoping it would have a little more flavor. The beef broth was better than the chicken, but generally it didn't have very much flavor either. I'm not sure if they just season light or don't use bones in the broth. Pho DK was a very good place for some tasteful PHO. I got the beef pho. It included 3 meats: Meatballs, tenderloin and brisket. I do wish it was a little bit more meat and noodles but that's the "negative" I have. I was greeted by someone who seemed very chipper and I like that. First impressions are everything! I chose to sit down and they had everything you needed. It has a decent amount of seating and it was POPPIN! A lot of in and out and to go orders as well. I would def try this place again! The best chicken pho I've ever had in my life! Freshest ingredients! I always get mine to go and they always package it up so perfectly, you can tell that they did it with extra care. The portions are huge. I usually eat on one soup for at least a couple days. And the eggrolls are a must!! You won't be disappointed. I came in by myself on a Friday night and there was no line. I ordered the Bún bò Huế (lemongrass noodle soup) and it was delicious! I really enjoyed the tasty broth and the thicc noodles in the soup. Some of the meat I didn't like (the sausage shaped meat) but the rest was really good. My friend ordered the vegetarian soup option and she raved about it too. I went to the counter asked politely if I may have 3 to go containers.. the man bussing tables rudely spoke over the young lady at the counter and denied my request, almost shouting "No! You have 2 bowls you're not getting 3, I'm giving you 2." Turning the heads of all customers in the restaurant. I simply would have just liked a third container to separate the noodles and broth so the noodles do not get soggy.. and to not be so rudely spoken to by someone who seemed to be the owner with how he was acting towards customer and his fellow staff. Great food, but definitely won't be going back because of the lack of decency and respect towards customers. So I am a Houston Resident, but I find myself in the Dallas metroplex pretty often, so it was about time I searched for a go-to Pho place. I was hesitant because I have a go-to pho place in Htx, but Pho DK exceed my expectations. I ordered the Beef Pho without meatballs ( I am not a fan of the texture of the meatballs used in Pho), the Summer Rolls, and the Thai Tea. Starting with the pho, the broth was flavorful and did not need many additions. The Summer Rolls were huge! They were also a combination of pork and shrimp which is something I have not seen before. The Thai Tea was also deliciously creamy and refreshing. Overall, Pho DK has all the typical things I look for in great pho places (except for the lemonade, if you know, you know).
