Great tasty food Service was slow but worth the wait Very clean all around Recommend the Duck and Pho!!

Found a spider in my food

I doordashed spring rolls and fresh rolls from there. The spring rolls tasted bland. And when I opened my spring rolls I found a spider in the to go container

Anchorage does Pho well! In fact, it's one of those list of foods that I NEVER eat when I'm visiting a large metro in the lower 48. Pho Dimond is great Pho, but doesn't really shake up the local Pho scene in the way a place like Phonatik does. They've got all the classic beef (and non-beef) noodle soup variations, they've got the classic Pho accoutrements, and the clean-but-sparse interior. I found the portion of ingredients in the actual soup to be a little small though. I could've used a little more noodle and a little more meat. I wish I would've gotten an appetizer to go with my soup. Service was fast and friendly.

Food is good but the waitress is rude and mad. No idea what her problem is. She's a Tiger.

This place is impeccably clean and the staff is friendly, even sweet. I had a yellow curry and my wife had a pho. Very tasty! We'll be back.

Extremely authentic and flavorful Pho!! Portion sizes are also HUGE. Came here twice during a…read moreone-week trip to Anchorage just because it was so good. Food doesn't come out as quick as other pho places but definitely worth the wait. Will visit again during my next trip! Staff is very friendly and a lot of space inside as well. FOOD: Lao Pork Sausage (8/10) - Can't find this in many places. Amazing!!! Super juicy, slightly salty sausage that pairs perfectly with the sauce and rice. Would get again! Pho Beef Combo (8/10) - Huge portion sizes for the price (superbowl). Amazing!! Broth and noodles are perfect Pho Tendon (7/10) - Also can't get this in many other places, but comes with so much tendon if you like it! Lao Fresh Rolls (6/10) - Solid spring rolls but the chicken is a little bit dry. I would get it again with only the shrimp. Shrimp Eggroll (5/10) - A fried shrimp in wonton wrapper, would skip this.

The bowl of seafood pho here is pretty good, and similar to the one I tried at Phonatik recently…read more The noodles are just a touch less tender than others I've tried, but the shrimp and squid were fresh and tasted good. This one also had imitation krab, which is fine but not my favorite. The side dish of garnishes was kind of weak, just bean sprouts, lime and jalepenos. I wish it had cilantro. They must have been out of basil that day too, because we didn't get any with the pho. I want to find a seafood pho with fish cake or house made seafood balls. I think I maybe set my expectations a bit high since moving from Hawaii, every pho place there is a peak experience. My husband tried the beef brisket massaman curry which he thought was very watery and very light in the spice department, which he didn't like much. However our child loved her small kid size chicken pho and we all loved the mango smoothie. It's one of the most flavorful smoothies with perfectly thick blended consistency that you can still suck up the straw. Ambiance is kind of old, dank, dark, and dated but also holds some oddly charming quality nonetheless. Service was straight-forward. Special s/o to the man who welcomed us in, immediately fetched a high chair for our child, and then also helped me with my giant diaper bag which he didn't have to do but was very appreciated. I bet he's a dad.

Lastly we got a platter of spicy beef fried rice with assorted vegetables which was very spicy, flavorful and outstanding. The team worked effortlessly together in a small and high-paced environment. There was so much more than pho I wanted to try on the menu and I am really looking forward to coming back in.

We got the Combination Fried Rice, and it was the best freaking fried rice I've ever had. Not only was it flavorful, but it was also generous on the portions - both in the overall quantity and in the amount meat that they had. They didn't skimp on the amount or the flavor here. The Banh Xeo, even though it was supposed to be the main attraction, became kind of the side course. That's not to say it wasn't tasty, it was also delicious. But I think the main star of the show is their fried rice. Additionally had some Thai Iced Tea. And again, one of the best Thai Iced Teas I've ever had. Strong but tasty. It definitely kept me wired and wide awake for my wilderness drives. Didn't expect to find such a random gem when traveling to the Last Frontier.

I like their menu because it has a good variety, and the food is pretty solid overall. The dine-in service has generally been good, and the restaurant itself looks clean, modern, and comfortable. That said, the takeout experience has almost always been on the slower side throughout the years, so that is one area I think they could improve. Still, Phonatik is one of the better pho restaurants in Anchorage. I really think they have a lot of potential, but they may need to step up their game a bit to become truly outstanding.

Our table had hoisin sauce, sriracha and a pot of chili oil. There was oil on the underside of the pot of chili oil though, which was a cleanliness issue. Our family got the all shrimp fresh rolls, a seafood pho, a mixed beef pho and a small kid size chicken pho. We also tried the hazy IPA beers on tap. Notes on the food: the rolls were okay. The peanut sauce was a touch too thick and lacked dimension in flavor. Ingredients inside the rolls were fresh but would've been improved with a little mint, basil, or other fresh herb. Seafood pho was decent, but I longed for a fish ball, fish cake, or other item besides the imitation krab. I picked out the squid because it was too chewy. Our server was cheerful and pleasant, and parking was super easy just outside the front door. Might be back if in the area but I think will continue my pho search elsewhere next time that pho craving hits.
