we were headed next door to the tandoori place when my son saw this spot and decided he'd rather have a sandwich. probably fairer to say 3.5 rounded up, but we did have bahn mi and egg rolls (chả giò) and not the pho. after all, the restaurant is call Pho Central. the sandwiches were good (we had the grilled chicken and the grilled pork). meat was cooked to order, hot and fresh, and the toasted bread was crispy and hot out of the oven. vegetables were a little light but we've gotten so conditioned by supersizing it's not realistic to expect everything over the top. I've had better egg rolls. filling was a bit muddled (and had a kind of extruded look when I peaked inside) and would have liked more and different herbage (basil and cilantro) as well as the mint for the wraps. read more

David the owner was very welcoming, he gave us a great tour of their menu and popular items selected. The inside was clean, played great music and even had the basketball game on. All the food came out really fast, nice and warm. The pho was so delicious, I only added a little bit of lime but didn't want to add more sauces since the broth was so tasty. The pork spring rolls had pork cracklings, that is a first. Tasty, crunchy and complemented the peanut sauce so well. Loved the Jazmin Tea over the Thai, they have the option to add boba if you prefer. The Pho Dac Biet is amazing. The broth has the aroma of the real Phở (not too strong or too fade) but in the right spot. I love that it takes very quick to order and get the food (2-3 times faster than a regular Vietnamese restaurant). The broth is still hot until I finished (love hot food). I don't usually leave reviews but I had to for this restaurant, so you can avoid wasting your money like I did. I have no idea why people are writing amazing reviews because this was possibly the worst pho I've ever had. Stopped here during lunch while we were out running errands because we saw it had 4.8 stars and about 300 reviews. This restaurant is located in a small food plaza, with several hole-in-the-wall-style spots. There were no customers to be seen at peak lunch hour, this should've been a warning sign. As soon as we walked in, it was set up like a small café with maybe six tables and some high chairs, along with two TV menu screens. The front door is designed to stay wide open up to the ceiling, so there was a lot of wind blowing in, and they had ceiling fans running on top of that. Right across from this restaurant was a pizza place with the exact same setup. That kind of layout might work for a sandwich or takeout spot, but not for a pho restaurant. We had to order at the counter, and the food was brought out with wooden chopsticks, plastic forks and spoons, a tiny to-go cup for chili oil, and just two packets each of sriracha and hoisin sauce. I swear I told them we were dining in so why all the plastic utensils? Anyways, we ordered their pho special combo (pho dac biet), and their broken rice with grilled pork. The pho broth tasted like water with the powder pho soup mix, and the meat was tough. The side of basil and bean sprouts was maybe enough for a small child, and they gave us a tiny wedge of lemon like they chopped the butt off, with more skin than flesh. Usually you'd get lime with pho but that's not a huge issue. The portion was the issue. I could probably get the same taste with those instant bowls of pho from Costco, they might actually be more fragrant than what we had at this restaurant. The pork was chewy and had an odd, almost gas-like taste. The best part of that dish was the broken rice. Overall, very disappointing. Take your time reading reviews (especially the bad ones) so you don't make the same mistake of coming here as I did. read more
