Sunday bbq's call for a quick stop to the liquor store to grab drinks to enjoy with friends. This store has a lot of options to pick from including beer, wine and liquor and tons of snacks. We got a bottle of wine and a 6 pack of beers and it was pretty pricey. This parking lot is a little hard to get in and out of because it is such a busy street but it is right off the freeway so it is convenient if you are in the area. read more

I've been going to this liquor store for a couple of years to turn in, and buy lottery tickets for my 98-year-old mother. More often than not, the service is not great. They act like this is an inconvenience. I spend at least 100 to $200 on tickets most every week. Today when I went in, on Sunday 3/8 in early evening, the person who waited on me was especially rude. I think he might be one of the owners, or a relation. I very efficiently purchased my tickets and left to get the rest at the supermarket. Their machine was not working, so I came back to purchase the rest with Emerald Spirits. I made sure that I was organized, and I even let someone go ahead of me because I know it takes a little time sometimes. When I got to the counter, he shouted "why didn't you do everything when you were here before, why did you have to come twice!" I was flabbergasted and ended up turning on my heel, telling him that if he didn't want my business, then he didn't have to have it. He even shouted something at me as I went out the door. This was the most unprofessional, and rude way I've ever been treated in my life. I don't intend to go back. read more

Came here the other night arrived there @ 10:51pm and the older guy with white hair pretty sure was the owner was standing outside the door i get off my car and i walk up and literally he was like we are closed and their CLOSING time is @ 11pm c'mon NOT OKAY , people that drive a good distance just to go to that LIQUOR and tell u they are CLOSED ... I have been shopping at Emerald Spirits for 5 years. they have a great selection in product and everything is always in stock. There customer service is sometimes good and sometimes bad. It depends on which guy is ringing you up. There are two guy who dont give a shit about there customer. One of the guys hates kids. I like to bring my kids with me sometimes so they can get a candy. Some of there candies are down low. this guy wont let the kids get on there knees to pick out a candy. Also he says the kids make a mess. several times I have heard both things from him. as far as the kids making a mess, that is bullshit because i am there watching them. If the guy dosnt want to have kids in the store on there knees picking out candy then fuckin raise it higher. Sometimes when I shop there the other guy says, with a shitty attitude, "What do you want!" I'm starting to hate shopping there. I have put up with this for so long because it is close to my house. I am considering driving to the next closest Liquor Store. I have also talked to others about how they feel about this place. They said the customer service is ok, average or poor. We just moved to Vista, so I thought I'd check this place out. It's just ten minute's drive from where we live. Yes, they had an impressive collection of wines, beers, and spirits, and a great beer cave, but the prices kinda let the whole thing down. I got myself two cans of beer, priced at $1.99 at the chiller cabinet, but when I got to the checkout, the price had somehow increased to $2.50 a can. So, that was my first and last visit to that place. I don't like it when there's two prices at work, as I am usually on the losing end of the higher price. Besides which, Food4Less, which is also quite close to where I now live, has the same beer for just $1.79 a can, and the price as marked on the shelf is the same as they charge you when you get to the checkout. read more

You've heard of ESPN's 30 for 30, well we decided to do a 40 for 40. My buddies 40th birthday we thought it would be a good idea to buy forty 40oz beers and rage. And you know we were trying to play Edwards 40 hands too. What a dumb idea. The size, the weight, the cost........the regret. SMH First of all there ended up only being less than 20 people celebrating and half of them were women who don't drink and though most of us polished off 2 each no one could muster more than 4. We didn't even come close and it was way more expensive than we thought, try carrying forty 40oz too. Besides being in a bit of a rougher hood that even when renovated still seems shabby. It's a good spot to go in the early evening for stop offs. They have a solid beer and an excellent liquor selection and will do special orders, but when that sun goes down, it's like the walking dead up in here. Prices are ok on the good stuff, but pretty cheap on the crap stuff (yeah I'm talking to you handle of fireball). Got that bodega feel, but even they know not to stay open too late around here. Too many liquor stores are run down with poor set up, but I actually like their set up, just that ATM with your back to the door right up front. Awesome, to pull cash and then be right in front and you know it's not their ATM so they have no interest to protect the user. Staff is cool, but they are seasoned in dealing with weirdo's. Parking is pretty good, but the cars around here, don't spend too much time in here. I'm pretty sure people are looking for you to linger, if you catch my drift. read more

This liquor has been here for years and its usually busy for a reason. The area may not be the greatest but it's definitely coming around. The shopping center has a Smart and Final, a face lift so it doesn't look so run down and a new Starbucks next door. Like at a lot of liquor stores you will see some people hanging out in the front of the store but not that often. This liquor store has just about everything you want from ice cream, tons of liquor and some local brews. read more

i didn't know this place was so close and convenient to my house or i would've started coming a long time ago. they've got a good selection of everything, lots of 24 options with local brews which is nice for the end of the day beer. we great layout so everything is easy to find. also picked up some really cool stone pint glasses for really cheap! plus the guy behind the counter was super friendly and helpful and you could tell dude loves his job which is always nice to see. read more
