We were downtown in Oceanside with our young kids for a beach day and stopped in to Coastal to grab some snacks and drinks. Most of the places like this don't have nearly as many healthy options and the vibe was so much more friendly and clean than most! As a mom of young kids it was a welcome experience and the owner Robert was super friendly with the kids and helped them pick out treats and recommend places to go locally as well! read more

I was buying some drinks and chips with my friend and the guy behind the counter was rushing us and I didn't have much time to choose my stuff so I just started joking around to lighten up the mood and this guy took my joke up the ass and kicked me and my friend out.. I don't know why he was so mad for it wasn't intended to be rude or nothing and I've never had a problem with a cashier anywhere until now.. this dude had nothing but a bad mood. And he looked like he was off something and his breath smelled horrible. But anyways He told us he doesn't need the money and to get walking.. but he should do some walking because he is morbidly obese and looks like he is going through a mid life crisis with all that money read more

I was a local in the neighborhood for 6+ years, walking distance to this liquor/market. The family that owns it are some of the nicest guys Ive met and treat me like family. Ive read some of the reviews and to be honest not sure who would think anyone that works here has an attitude, I'm sure it must be a bad day for that person leaving the review. So to get back to my review yes the prices could be a little lower but hey we are talking convenience on PCH in Oceanside not the Vons or Ralph's. Best vape selection and Spirits in the area and if they don't have something you buy often they will make sure they have it next time for you ... just ask. read more

All time favorite liquor store in Oceanside! I've been a regular there for over 10 years and the brothers Rob and Brian are seriously the best. Their fridges are always super super cold. The place is always stocked well with new & popular products and is always super clean! They will also stock a product if you are a regular and you request something which is super cool. My ALL TIME favorite liquor store. Brian and Robert are awesome! Super friendly and welcoming. If I could give 10/5 stars I would. Lots of different selections of everything. If there's something that you want them to start selling, you can request what you want and they'll look into getting it for you. My favorite is that they have numerous selections of seltzers that I haven't even seen before. They also have lots of ciders and wine too. This is definitely the place to go to if you're looking to try something new - they have a huge selection. Follow them on Instagram @coastalmarket - they're always posting new drinks that they get in. They also have really good firewood. If you're in Oceanside, you have to stop by Coastal Market - you won't be disappointed! read more

While the service was very nice here, the prices are really high. Well stocked store, but we did not get what we needed due to it costing much more than elsewhere. Fine if you are in a pinch, but not better than any other stores in the area or worth going out of your way for. read more

I ordered some wine from these guys through Drizly not realizing that it was right before they close. ( so sorry!) Brian from the store called me to let me know they we actually out of stock on some of the wines I had requested but he made some amazing suggestions for alternatives and put my order through for me even though they had already closed! B totally made my night! I really appreciate that they went above and beyond for me! I will definitely do my wine shopping from Coastal from now on and earlier next time! read more

Ver clean and friendly folks! I forgot a mask and he gave me two free masks to use, as a well as hand sanitizer at the register after my transaction. Also everything is priced lower than 7/11. Highly recommended read more

Last time I was up in the O Side, I stopped by to visit my buddy Rob. After spending some time in there to look at his CCTV requests I got very little time to chat with him. This was because his full attention was on his customers and answering their questions. I was there for hours and only got a couple minutes in with him. He's committed to his community and you can tell just by being there how loyal his customers are. That speaks volumes of the type of service he delivers. I even ran into a couple of international reggae superstars while I was in there. Everyone knows him and know where to go for the best bargains. Next time you're in the area tell em Rob D sent you! This is my go to place for craft beer in Downtown Oceanside. There craft beer selection is always changing and evolving. You can also ask them stock you favorite brewski if they dont have it. Store is clean and the owner and staff are super rad! read more

This magical oasis is slightly south of downtown's best place to buy all of the liquor store necessities you could reasonably desire. This is no standard bodega. The floors are clean. It's cans are dust free. It's crisp, bright lighting highlights the night manager's dreamy eyes. Seriously. It's worth the trip. Even if all of your convenience store needs are met, invent a reason to stop by. The flavorful locals never fail to entertain. read more

The ambiance here is nice and I could see it being a place to take a date, or for group settings like we were in on Saturday. It seems like they have a following of regular patrons too which I always like to see at bars and breweries. All in all a great place with a genuinely nice owner who takes pride in his business and what he does. Would recommend and hope to make it up here again sometime.

tldr: this place is run by ignorant, anti-vax, homophobic men. yesterday evening, i was just bringing up my beer to check out and couldn't help but hear 2 male workers, just a couple feet behind me, having a full-throated, jocular conversation belittling vaccinated people and people who choose to wear masks. then they threw in a homophobic slur for good measure. i called them out at that point, at which point the guy who appeared to be in charge limply tried to offer "hey, we treat everyone with respect here" i replied "well you say that now but it sure didn't sound like that a second ago" that's when he said "ok you gotta go" with pleasure, buddy! you can be sure i'll never be back. and i'll make sure all my friends in the neighborhood hear about how y'all choose to operate, how y'all feel about vaccinated people, and how y'all feel about gay people. read more

Love this place! It's family run and the whole family is awesome! The dad (george i think?) Is soo sweet and also the sons who work there are funny and friendly. It seems like Robert and Steven work the most often (atleast when i stop by!) and they are ALWAYS super friendly and make an effort to get to know their regulars. Prices are reasonable, and if you ARE a regular and you make a suggestion on a product to carry, most of the time, they LISTEN! I used to buy cereal there a lot, and i didn't like their selection.. made a few suggestions, and BAM they carry Cinnamon Toast Crunch now haha i absolutley LOVE this place. Also, if you're a smoker, they're like the 2nd cheapest place in town. read more

Clean, well-organized store with some of the friendliest service in town. Staff is welcoming and helpful without being pushy. They carry a huge variety of candy, snacks, beer, and liquor, plus plenty of hard-to-find items you don't see in other shops. Prices are fair, and the atmosphere makes it easy to shop. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area. read more
