I am only giving this place 3 stars for now because I didn't dine in. I ordered to go. This is conveniently located within the Fred Meyer complex. Anyways, I only ordered the beef fried rice. The fried rice was just ok. I would rate it a 7.0. If I were to rate how this establishment look, I would give it a 9 because it looks very modern for a Vietnamese restaurant and was very neat. Came here for a quick lunch and get a meatball sandwich and fresh rolls. I noticed immediately that the workers were not Vietnamese, but in fact Korean. Koreans can notice other Koreans, it'a just a thing. Anyways, I was hoping that this wouldn't have an effect on the food. I was wrong. The sandwich was one of the worst sandwiches I've ever had. It was so much bread, very little filling, none of the veggies were even pickled, and no jalapeños! Sure the bread was soft but it tasted like bread and nothing else. The meatball (yea, one meatball) was sliced extremely thin and sprinkled into the sandwich. And they used mayo! Maybe they were trying to be unconventional which is fine, but the sandwich was terrible and the prices were high for what I received. The Vietnamese sanwiches is very expensive and I just got 9 little pieces inside the banh mi. It's very dry and no sauce, no jalapeños. You have to pay $1 more for spicy. The chicken wings are overcooked and I have to throw it away. I felt like they re-fried and sold it for me. The service was ok, but I saw the lady cleaned the salad bar with her hands without gloves. I drove by Pho Box on a whim not knowing what I wanted to get for lunch. They are located in the same lot as Fred Meyer, next to the nail salon and the Teriyaki joint. I noticed their open sign and figured, why not? Lucky for me, they just opened this Monday, July 17th. As a grand opening special, you will receive 10% off your entire order. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and has bright decor. It probably has about 20 tables. It is family owned, and they are all so patient, sweet, and inviting with smiles on their faces. I came in to place my order to go. I ordered the grilled chicken rice noodle salad, which is served with vermicelli noodles, bean sprouts, cucumbers, cilantro, green lettuce, pickled daikon and carrots, a vegetarian crispy roll, and a house fish sauce. The presentation was beautiful. It wasn't slapped together like some places. The grilled chicken had nice grill marks, yet it was still juicy and tender. The veggies tasted crisp and very fresh, and the crispy roll was excellent. The house fish sauce was good, but not that best I've had. They were very generous with the sauce though. It came in a large sauce container, which was a plus. I also added a strawberry peach bubble tea with tapioca. The tapioca was cooked well. The bubble tea drink I believe is powder, so it was more on the sweet side. I'm personally not a fan of powder made bubble tea. I would rate this as a 3.5 out of 5 stars, but rounding it to a 4 out of 5 stars because of the owner's generosity, positivity, and fresh tasting food. read more

This is definitely a fusion Vietnamese restaurant. It had all the rave on its oxtail pho so I thought I should give it a try. It's worth a whooping $14 for a steaming hot bowl. Service is great & it's definitely the "cleanest" pho shop I've ever been too. The soup base was flavorful & fatty. My bowl came with a nice portion of noodles 5 relatively large ox tail pieces. Overall, I thought I had a decent lunch. My friend order a grilled chicken banh mi which was paired with yam fries. We also order egg rolls. The banh mi literally tasted like teriyaki chicken with the salad tossed in. It had cilantro, cucumber, green lettuce, pickled daikon & carrot, layered with home-made spread. Although I like fusion dishes, this was just not a good combo. It states that the bread is toasted but my friend's was clearly not. The yam fries were good but not a good combo with the banh mi. The egg rolls were $3 for 2 fried egg rolls. It was just delicious but I felt like it was fried in overused oil as the outside of the egg roll was pretty dark which made me think at first was it overly fried. After a few off experiences with our usual go-to Pho restaurant, we decided it was time to find a new one. Feeling a bit spontaneous and adventurous we gathered our little ones and decided on Pho Box for dinner. As soon as we entered we were welcomed by two friendly young ladies behind the counter. We couldn't help but notic on how bright and CLEAN the place was. There's nothing worse than an oily table with dirty water glasses. So cute, they offered our two little ones kid plates and bowls with their own kid cup of water. (I wish the water had lids but the gesture is nice!) We ordered the kids chicken fried rice for my daughter and a side of white rice for my son. My boyfriend got the large pho and a can of Dr Pepper, while I ordered their grilled chicken sandwich. - YUM. My sandwich had a really good in-house made sauce and the bread tasted very fresh (which made me really happy). I also really have to shine a spotlight on the yam fries that came on the side! Probably the best I've ever had. Boyfriend says his pho was really good, only missing the Sriracha (he puts it on everything). They give you three sauces and one was almost like a sriracha, so we were thinking it may be their own spin on it (still really good, but not the same). The kids loved their rice and I shared my sandwich with my son and they were happy, to say the least. It was honestly the cutest and made me really happy that while we were eating and no one new had came in for a few minutes, (who seemed to be) the owner and head chef came up to each of us to ask if we needed anything and how evrything was. Came here for the Pho and it was disappointing. Broth does not taste like it has any spices in it and is more like chicken soup. I ordered spring rolls and pho ga, spring rolls were delightful but like I said pho was disappointing. Took a few sips to make sure I wasn't wrong, didn't even eat any noodles, the bowl was pretty much untouched. TBH don't have room in my tummy to waste on basic a$$ chicken soup. Told the fella that it didn't taste like it had spices in it and that I didn't want it (in a not rude way of course) and gave him my card expecting him to not charge me for it. But he did... so that sucks. I'm sure the other dishes are delightful but pho is not up to par and neither is their customer service apparently :( read more

Great place to get your pho fix. It's not heavy on the oil/fat and the broth is so good-you don't even need to put any extra sauce in it. Their portion size is fairly large but I love that. Hands down the worst bahn mi I've ever had. The bread was very dry, and they put some kind of mustard based sauce that ruined it, and made it inedible. I ended upthrowing it in the trash after 4 bites! Who puts mustard on a Vietnamese sandwich? It did not compliment the traditional flavors of the sweetish meat or the pickled vegetables. Awful. I also ordered the crab Rangoon, which was also inedible. For someone who loves greasy food, I could hardly stand more than 2. Of course their stingy portion of 6 pieces didn't go far. You take one bite and your mouth fills with grease. Disgusting. No crab at all, as far as I could tell. Crab Rangoon is supposed to actually contain crab or at least surimi. They were tiny, and they have the audacity to charge $8 for these atrocities. I do not recommend this place, based on what I experienced. Really disappointed in this place. The inside of the restaurant looked really cool and modern and their prices were really good so I decided to give it a try. I ordered beef meatball pho and a side of French fries. When I received my order, I asked for extra plum sauce and Siracha sauce. They charged me extra for each. When I got home, I was really disappointed to find that they didn't even put sauce in there to begin with, which is strange for a pho place. Also, there were no vegetables, not even green onions. Just broth, noodles, and the meatballs. The broth was bland but the noodles were cooked good. The French fries were somehow burned and soggy at the same time (which could have been due to ordering them to go, sometimes fries get soggy on the way home). If I do come here again I definitely won't be ordering take out. read more

This restaurant is awesome! The broth in the pho is amazing! My fiancé and I both did the ox tail and short rib pho and the meat was so tender. We also got a sandwich that was great as well.
