Located on White Oak and Studemont in a fairly high traffic area. Parking is not great, there is a tiny lot with 4-5 spaces up front and besides that, it'll be street parking. Service is very minimal; ordering is done up front and the food is brought to you. The menu is big has most of the regularly Vietnamese options. It felt off the bat like the menu wasn't leaning towards the authentic side but catering to the Americanized versions of the dishes. Prices are also on the higher end of expectations. Their spring rolls are fine; fairly average. Their bowl of pho at $14.5 is also very average in terms of flavor and portion size. Nothing extraordinary; at least the bowl did come with some fresh veggies. The spicy bone marrow appetizer was a bit underwhelming; their rich flavor was a bit lacking; there were leftovers. Their smoothies were perfectly fine and fairly mild in flavor; their boba has pretty decent texture. Pho ever! So was trying to do a delivery but forgot to click the button so had a pick up. Very close, less than 5 minutes so wasn't too worried about the drive time. It was roughly 5ish on a weekday so it wasn't busy. There seemed to be a few online orders and it took an additional 20 min wait time even tho I got notice that my order was ready way before I arrived. I think maybe they were waiting on the dumplings and focusing on the pho orders. The inside is cute and fits in with the Heights. Very aesthetic. The parking is trash but it is on White Oak. Street parking. Ordered pho with lean steak and meatballs, fried dumplings ( x 2 - b1g1free) and 2 Thai ice teas (b1g1free). Got home within 6-7 min of leaving and the soup was not even hot. Heated it up to get the lean steak cooked a bit and the flavor was nice. The beef broth wasn't as deep and meaty as other spots but it fixed my craving well enough. I ordered chicken pho, and when my bowl came out, I started looking for the chicken using my chopsticks (which I had already been using to eat my dumplings). I realized it was the wrong order and told the server that I had already touched the food with my chopsticks. Instead of remaking it, she took the same bowl and handed it to another customer like nothing happened. That is extremely unsanitary and honestly unacceptable. This is basic food safety. Food: the P3 bowl is my absolute favorite, the brisket and steak are amazing, the broth is flavorful, and the noodles are perfectly cooked. This is very lean meat which I love, if you like lean beef in your pho this is an amazing choice. We've been here a few times as it is a short walk from us & enjoy their food! The only thing that gets us is that they are very stingy with the chili oil for some reason?? Every time we've gone & asked for more, they will hesitate to give us a few small containers. We found it odd as in other Pho spots we go to, they have the chili oil on the table for you lol. So for us, as we are big spicy lovers, it's disappointing but other than that it is a solid place. The broth is full of flavor and has a gentle warmness/earthy tones. I recommend the brisket and meatballs. They are certainly generous with their portions. One order goes a long way. Pro tip: ask for extra noodles on the side. You can stretch out those leftovers for a couple of days. If you aren't feeling Pho because it's way too hot outside (almost year round), I would suggest the crunchy garlic shrimp. It's served on a bed of arugula salad and comes with white rice. I love eating it with my own homemade Asian hot sauce at my house. Like I said, very rarely do we eat at the restaurant, but the few times we've had nothing but positive experiences. Now that I know about this location, I know I'll be heading here when it's time for me to come back to Houston! My friends and I were craving bone marrow broth pho all week after trying it at the Binh by Night location. But since the Bellaire locations were closed on Monday's we ended up here. Not only is it more spacious, there were more Vietnamese food options beyond pho. This was especially helpful for the variety of dietary tastes in our group, especially having vegetarian options. It was also easy to order at the counter then have food brought to us, making split bills not an issue at all. As usual we got the bone marrow pho broth. Always looking forward to our once per Houston treat to have this decadent broth. It's so rich we typically split 2 people to one bowl. It's always freshly made daily and we even called to check if they had enough. What we like about this location of Pho Binh is also how many other dishes and drinks are there. I typically find green Thai tea a rarity in the northeast so I definitely got some here. When ordering the half and half spring roll and summer roll appetizer, my variety enjoying self was happy I got to try a little of both. In fact, the egg rolls were so good I went back up and ordered more. I appreciated that they also offer appetizers at half sizes so I don't feel over stuffed or can try more options. My friend who is vegetarian also really loved the food she got. I got to try a bit of the tofu in the dish and the seasonings and flavors were just perfect.
