The service here is nice and convenience is great if you're staying at nearby resort. I tried the pad thai and was not a fan, it was not terrible, but was completely drowning in sauce that made it really difficult to eat and overly sweet. I've always said that Big Bear needs a pho restaurant so I'm glad to see my wishes came true! This restaurant is on the main big bear city road; however it is a bit hidden. The first floor has about 3 tables but there's plenty of seat outside if the weather is nice and I also found out there's an upstairs dining area! Owner says it will be open for the winter season. We ordered 3 bowls of pho and the combination fried rice. The pho broth looked a bit dark but it did have the aromatic flavor. They were pretty generous with the meat but the brisket was dry. The fried rice a bit greasy for my taste but my son enjoyed it. All in all, a great place to fill our tummy and get the pho fix! The owner was super nice and hospitable. read more

I'm very torn on the rating. The pho broth was decent and probably would have have earned 4 stars by itself(or possibly a big bear 5), but the crispy noodles and Chinese pancake were very disappointing. We got 3 bowls of pho and the noodles were overcooked for one bowl, on the soft side for a second bowl, and good on the third bowl. If you're looking for Asian food in big bear, then the pho is probably one of your best options. If you're walking from the streets north of the restaurant, google maps will try to take you through the back, but it's all fenced off and you'll have to walk up to the Main Street to get in. As a true lover of pho I had to check this place out and see if their pho was any good. The broth was pretty decent. Not the best bowl of pho I've ever had but hey, when you're in the mountains of big bear and want a bowl of pho this place comes through in a pinch. Service was friendly and the waiter who came to serve the food had a big smile on his face and accommodated my request for additional accoutrements such as lime and I'm sure would have gave additional bean sprouts as well. After hiking in Big Bear, we wanted to find something to eat, and this was one of the closest spot to our hike. The workers are super friendly, but it does seem like the girl working the front was really nervous. Food came out super quick, and was brought out by the cooks. We got the pad Thai, spring rolls, a sprite, and a mango smoothie. The smoothie was really sweet, and tasted like it was made from powder. The spring rolls were probably the best item out of the whole meal, since it was filled with veggies and paired with a really good peanut sauce! The pad Thai was a really good portion size, but it was very saucy and oily. The flavor of it was a little off from typical pad Thai flavors, but texture-wise, it was standard. We didn't see a whole lot of indoor seating, if any, but there's plenty of outdoor seating which made it dog-friendly. There's not a whole lot of Asian spots in Big Bear, so we were still appreciative of this spot offering some Asian flavors. This place is hidden inside the plaza of the Bear Creek Resort. There's parking on the side of the restaurant, or you can possibly also park in the Bear Creek lot and walk over. read more

I tried this Vietnamese restaurant with a couple friends. The pho they had was okay, but not exceptional. The Bahn Mi sandwich I had would have been good but they used a frozen roll that was thawed but the bottom was hard as a rock which ruined the sandwich. I took it back and they made another one. But any decent chef should know that the bread roll is key to a good sandwich. They did take it back and make it again for me. But again the bread was hard. The food here is a mixture of Chinese, (we had egg noodle), Thai dishes, and Vietnamese dishes. Didn't try the t Not sure if I will try it again. We ate outside. Unfortunately I was disappointed with my order here. I got the steak and brisket pho and the meat was very questionable and dry which turned me off. The broth and noodles were good. The orange chicken was good, but nothing you couldn't get anywhere else and it wasn't hot. It just seemed like classic frozen orange chicken. We finished the meal with boba Thai tea which was my main excitement for coming. The boba was way overcooked and not sweet while the tea itself barely had flavor. I wish I could say better things as the staff was nice and we got our food quickly, but I would not go back here. After coming on here and reading other reviews of all the bugs found in food I'm afraid I won't be eating my leftovers either. read more

Super mom and pop shop vibes if you dont mind that, my wife and I enjoyed the quiet atsmosphere and they serve alcohol as well which was a bonus . We recommend the beef brisket and rare steak pho pretty pleased with the serving size . We didn't mind the price point ,it was fairly reasonable considering how well our experience was . Busy Holiday week. Was able to place take out order waited 20 mins for soup. Chicken pho was very good. Veggie broth lacked flavor but added spice and it was good. Hard to find it's in the Fireside Manor parking lot. I loved the custom take out bag. Front service person did a great job handling the stress of lots of orders. read more

I personally don't like their pad thai, but everything else I regularly order (meat pho, veggie pho, spring rolls, orange chicken, pork buns) is reliably delicious every time. The staff are always very kind when I go in, even when they are crazy busy. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the location, because navigating through the resort parking lot when the resort and restaurant are busy is a pain in the backside (still worth it for the pho though!) read more

We are visiting Big Bear for a holiday weekend from OC. This boba hit the SPOT. I got the Thai tea and mom, who can be a food critic, really enjoyed her refreshing mango smoothie with boba. Prices are super super reasonable. They are a small-family-run business and the staff were so kind. The place smelled authentic and delicious. The food was so so good. All the patrons around us also remarked how good the food was. Small inside seating but the out door patio seating is where it is at with a nice view of the resort and beautiful nature. Highly recommend. Will be back again!! P.s. they are located in the resort (public) with ample parking, but you can't see the store front from the road. read more

The Big Bear fun run was just starting the lake cruise when I looked you up on YELP. Turns out to be a hidden little gem tucked into an event venue spot. I say tucked because it took us two passed and a parking lot conversation to get there. But we did! And I am a better man for the trip. I was feeling a little sub as my race car driving nephew took me on a quick tour. I needed Pho. Chicken Pho. Food for my soul. It really was magical. A light flavorful broth with thin sliced chicken breast, glass noodles and fresh vegetables including basil, mint, bean sprouts and thin sliced rounds of jalapeños. I drank water in styrofoam cups from the big yellow jug out front and sat on the patio. My driver had Pad Thai. He took half of it back to the condo for later. I ordered spring rolls and egg rolls to go. Thank you Cece for taking my orders and thank you and thank you Wally for showing us the garden I didn't get mama's name. I got the rare steak with brisket pho as well as a Thai tea with boba! (I added chili paste so that's why it looks like this haha )Everything was very very good! Very flavorful very tasty! Definitely made with love! Usually when I get pho I right away have to add salt or some kind of flavor to it because the flavor isn't quiet there but once I got my bowl from "Pho Big Bear" and took a good sip it was perfect! The broth was amazing and flavorful!!! Everything was great! They give you a generous amount of noodles too and the steak was mmm chefs kiss as well as the noodles of course! The only thing is I brought my mom and they gave us very little toppings the toppings is only enough for 1 but it's okay we just split it up lol I usually like a lot of toppings in mine but it's not the end of the world!!! But service was great and everyone was very nice and you can immediately tell everyone likes their job and gives you great customer satisfaction and service!! But the girl in the front taking orders seemed stressed out for some reason even though she just came in once we came in and she didn't seem like she wanted to be there but I mean everybody has there days soo no worries!
