I've a limited sampling of the menu, portions are large and prices are fairly low. But don't expect tons of flavor. Shrimp lo mein I had last visit needed more soy sauce. But it wasn't bad. I have yet to try their pho. Be aware that communication is difficult here, especially over the phone for take out. But they do have a convenient drive thru window. We were forcefully directed to wait in the non-air conditioned entry to place our order by an exceptionally rude man at the counter. We were then directed to drinks and told to sit down. I took our children to sit down while my significant other proceeded to get drinks. He came back to the table about 3 minutes later to tell me he couldn't get drinks because there were too many roaches battling for supremacy so he gave up. We decided to leave and go elsewhere to eat. Ate here with my mom because they advertise that they have pho, a Vietnamese noodle soup. The restaurant is understaffed. There were only two people in the entire restaurant, the chef and the other person who does everything. Service was VERY slow. We waited over 30 minutes for our foods and decided we would leave in ten minutes if the foods didn't show up, but it came five minutes after that. The pho is very tasteless. I would consider trying it again for something else, but not pho. Also, it is best to call ahead and do take out. The restaurant is designed as a self-service (seat yourself, and get your own drinks), and the wait is horrible if you eat here. The restaurant has a giant banner hanging outside advertising it as "Pho Ben," but was told by the staff that the restaurant is actually called Snow Peas Restaurant... very confusing. read more

The Lo Mein is fantastic! Pho is so tasty, and has a lot of flavor!! The Szechuan beef was good, but is pretty much beef and broccoli with chili pepper sauce. And that's OK, it was may fault for googling Szechuan Beef and expecting it to look like that. Comes with brown, white or fried rice ...pic shows fried rice but it didn't seem to really be fried. I arrived at 5:20 pm and there were 2 other tables in the restaurant, the seating is plentiful. They could easily accommodate a party of 20 and still have additional seats. As soon as you enter there is a counter and you can order first and then sit or wait for table side ordering. There are an assortment of Pepsi products at the fountain and iced tea, but I opted for the Thai tea and was not disappointed, see photo. I started with the summer roll which was today's special. It was ok. Not a huge fan of the hot tempura shrimp inside my spring roll. But, there was nothing wrong with it, just now how I prefer to have my rolls made. (See photo) As a visitor from Atlanta I am no stranger to Pho, so I will give you a comparison to the pho I am accustomed. The pho side plate had alfalfa sprouts, lime, hot peppers and basil. The pho I chose was the beef combination, which has meatball, tendon and steak. The meatballs were of a firm consistency and bland in flavor. The steak was tender and had more flavor than the meatballs. The tendons were not very plentiful but were quite tasty. The pho broth has a great flavor but the real winner of the dish are the noodles, they are undoubtedly homemade. As I have written this review they have sold multiple to-go orders so I hope they will still be in business when I come back in January. Now to add some sriracha! read more

Disappointed, was really wanting some nice beef and snow pea. Instead, I got very rubbery mystery meat and limp overcooked snow peas. The dumplings were straight up nasty. My husband's chicken fried rice was okay, but noting at all I'd order again. We did a drive up pick up and the guy was pleasant checking us out, but the food was not good at all. These guys are the real deal when it comes to Pho. They have a big pot where they make it daily from knuckle bones and if you know anything about how Pho broth is made, you know this is the authentic way. I was also amazed about the open kitchen. Definitely not the best Pho or fried dumplings in the Metro, but pricing didn't seem bad on any menu item. I had seen this building many times and decided to try it on a day that I couldn't figure out what to do for lunch. The interior is simple. Order at the counter, get a drink from the fountain, and find a seat. A large TV played Food Network programs during the lunch hour. Hoisen, soy, sweet'n'sour (red bottle), and hot mustard (yellow bottle) are on the tables. Pho comes in one large size-easily two portions. I got the combination beef, minus tendon. The brisket was thick and tough, but the other was delicious. Wish there was more meat in general. Rice noodles and broth were good on the spot and the next day reheated. read more

Not necessarily a hidden gem, just cheaper asian food, not the best quality. The outside looks unkempt with "hole in the wall" feel but the inside was better kept up not super nice but better than fast food look. There was only 1 other customer in there at lunch time. We workout at a gym in the same shopping center and noticed its never busy. They used to be snow pea on western (as we were informed by cook-maybe owner?) We ordered some sechuan plates which weren't very spicy at all, spicy chicken which they messed up and gave us spicy chicken fried rice then reused that to turn into spicy chicken- not acceptable, crab wontons- chewy day old taste with no fillings, seafood soup which was oily and will disrupt a sensitive digestive system but tasted ok, and some other stir fried items. Make sure you check your order before leaving. The guy who takes the order has difficultly with English and the cook will try to reuse old food items. We equate the quality of food to a chinese buffet- cheap but easy to obtain as they are slow. They tried to tell us the app is more expensive but I had initially started my order through the grub hub app and it was $1 cheaper through app. I don't feel like they are trying to be dishonest as they were very kind but I did feel like they were trying to survive and will do anything it takes to survive. The lo mein is always a favorite, but this location also has pho, fresh spring rolls & edamame--which are always nice for a healthier bite. Growing up with a Vietnamese mother and family ensures that I've got a palate for pho that's difficult to impress. HOWEVER, I had a really great experience at Pho Ben. Not only was the pho amazing (drink the broth amazing), but I had the good fortune of being there during an event that was cohosted by UCO's AASA.
