I've been going to this restaurant, off and on, for over 30 years. The food quality has definitely dropped off. They used to have the best egg rolls in town, but not anymore. They are tough and chewy now. The garlic chicken is so dried out, I can't swallow it without a lot of water. The service has also dropped way off. They are impatient and just toss the plates in the table and run off. I waited quite sometime for a drink refill and more napkins. And the prices!!!! They have gone through the roof!!! Only ate egg rolls here. We stopped with the egg rolls because they had peanut butter in them. Not something I expected or wanted in an egg roll. Absolutely the best egg rolls in the OKC metro area. Hawaiian chicken is top tier! Sad to see price increases, but that's everywhere, esp with today's political climate. With that said, I will continue visiting and wish they would open a location closer to downtown OKC and/or the southside/Moore area. My favorite in Edmond. Old style Chinese with good flavor. They have a combination meal that includes multiple choices, soup, and egg roll. The dumplings are very good and the Rangoon wonton is among the best! The staff is very friendly and they run the restaurant like a well oiled machine. They also do great take out. The dining room is clean and open. They recently remodeled and painted the outside and it looks so much better. I'm so pleased Blue Moon is alive and well in Edmond! read more

My husband and I decided to branch off from our typical Chinese spot for some take-out. I was very impressed with the freshness and quality and the speed at which they made our food. We got crab Rangoon and Spring rolls to start. The crab Rangoon was good. The wonton was definitely much thinner than I'm used to and they were generous on the cream cheese layer. The spring rolls were crisp and fresh. My husband liked them but I wasn't as fond of the flavor (just a personal preference). The sesame chicken was some of the best quality I have had. It was actual chicken breast pieces and they were heavy on the chicken and very light on the breading. The sauce it was in was SO good. I would have loved to have extra of that sauce to put over everything. The one thing that could have been better was that it was way over cooked and got stuck in my throat. The lo mein was delicious. It could have used more flavor though. They also sent us with some fried rice that came with the sesame chicken and it was pretty tasty as well. read more

Let me start by saying this is not my favorite style of food. However when I do eat it, I prefer authentic. This is your same old fast food with non fast food prices. The service seemed overwhelmed as there appeared to be only 1 waiter with quite a few people. And they only had water to drink. The atmosphere seemed stiff and closed off and no one was smiling or happy. It was as if you had interrupted dad and mom arguing. Maybe we just went on a bad day. The lady at the front was absolutely horrible to me. About a month ago, I went in and I tried to order a dish I hadn't tried before. When I ordered, she immediately told me that I wouldn't like it and asked me to pick something else. After attempting to order two more dishes, her telling me each time that I wouldn't like it and declining to put my order in, I finally asked what I could have that I "would like". She only offered me sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken, very basic meals, and just wouldn't let me get the dish I wanted. With me being a blonde haired, blue eyed person, it honestly seemed racist to assume that I wouldn't like the food that I was ordering based off of my appearance. Very off-putting, horrible service. My husband and I decided to try this place for the first time. My husband enjoyed his meal. Me...not so much. I was craving Spring rolls and theirs had chicken inside. Totally different taste. My Bourbon chicken was good, but there was something about the dish that made me sick. Took some for lunch the next day and had to stop eating 3 bites in. The lady at the front desk was very rude for absolutely no reason. She came in the front room on the phone (which i did not see as it was up to her left ear and i was standing to her right.) she said "what is the name?" so i said my name and when she didn't say anything (mind you i do not see the phone in her hand) i asked "i'm sorry are you asking me?" and instead of saying something like "no, sorry one moment" she turned and looked at me with DISGUST and pointed very aggressively at the phone (which i now see). i felt bad at first but then when she finally started taking my order the phone started ringing and she grabbed it and immediately started talking to whoever was on the line instead and ignoring me completely. when i finally got to place my order, i was having a hard time finding everything on the tiny menu packed full of thing's written in tiny letters and that was completely unorganized, i asked how much the egg rolls were, and she slammed the menu down and pointed at the egg rolls saying "it's right here" in a very condescending manner. long story short she was rude as hell and the food was not worth the money or the drive. also i read other reviews about the lady at the front desk, and safe to say i don't think she likes white people. which as much as i get it, you're running a restaurant and believe it or not you can't just be rude to people you don't like. don't eat here unless you want dirty food and terrible service. read more

Have eaten at Blue Moon 3 times in the past 3 months. 2 times with other people and once getting takeout for myself. The food has been GREAT every time. First of all the staff was not very friendly, and quite dismissive, even if you're nice to them. The food was mediocre at best and im almost positive they served me old egg rolls that were reheated. i was incredibly disappointed by the food considering i drove from Guthrie and spent almost $40. The place looked nice, but the seating area was uncomfortable to sit on for as long as i did while i waited for food. UNSANITARY. I placed an order that included egg rolls. I was apparently too late to pick it up so they put everything back. Once I arrived the woman working the cash register lied and said she kept everything warm for me so she would just go and get it from the kitchen. Something told me to watch her. I went to the kitchen door, where there's a window and watched her. She assembled my food with her bare hands. Meaning, she picked out two egg rolls from a bin of other eggrolls with her fingers and put it in a bag. She put everything together with her hands. Once I saw enough, I went to the cash register. She sent soon came back out, having washed her hands AFTER putting my food in a bag - not before. I confronted her and she tried to lie. I told her I saw her with my own eyes. She offered to remake it. LOLOL! Bottom line this place is unsanitary and dishonest. I know I would vomit thinking of what I saw if I tried to eat their food. This is my PSA. We ate at Blue Moon on Friday night. Covid precautions were taken with sanitization and social distancing at every other table. That was comforting, but we came for the food. What can I say, it was all delicious. A traditional Chinese order starting with hot tea, hot egg drop soup, and an egg roll. All very good. We got combo plates which included rice and three main dish selections, each. So we had servings of sweet and sour shrimp, Hawaiian chicken, garlic chicken, Kung pai, chicken almond ding, and moo goo gai pan. All of the selections were yummy.
