Blue Moon Chinese Restaurant April 2, 2026 Unfortunately Blue Moon Chinese Restaurant didn't deliver. The food wasn't good and nothing about the visit made me want to come back. Wouldn't recommend or return. read more

I have went here for years since I was a little girl. I always ask for their egg drop soup when I am sick! Always nice and welcoming- they've repainted which looks great! We always go for the lunch special - usually on Sundays. It's delicious and filling- I almost always have leftovers for later. The lemon chicken and the Hawaiian chicken is great. My husband loves the chow mein and spicy beef. I'll be going there for a long long time to come! read more

Blue Moon Restaurant - D 19. Hawaiian Chicken - Chinese Near Me - Edmond, Oklahoma

I have been eating at Blue Moon for 30 years. Never had a bad meal! You don't stay in business for 40 years if you are serving crap! Their food is always on point, hot, fresh and delicious! To bad Edmond has so many elitist people who can't enjoy a meal at someplace that isn't the 'Latest" thing! read more

We ordered takeout yesterday. We ordered garlic frittered chicken, egg rolls and Hawaiian chicken. We had to throw everything out it was so bad. The only thing we could eat was the rice. Garlic chicken was like fried and dried bones, the egg rolls were foul and inedible, the Sweet & sour Hawaiian chicken was very bad. We took one bite and had to toss it. We wasted $45 dollars . Never again. read more

For people saying this place is gross is insane, if your from Edmond you know these same people have ran and operated this place forever, food is flat out slapping, for the reviews saying otherwise they are absolutely incorrect! read more

Super clean. Excellent service. Incredible food. Will definitely go back again.... And again..... And again!!!!!!!!! read more

I've been going to this restaurant, off and on, for over 30 years. The food quality has definitely dropped off. They used to have the best egg rolls in town, but not anymore. They are tough and chewy now. The garlic chicken is so dried out, I can't swallow it without a lot of water. The service has also dropped way off. They are impatient and just toss the plates in the table and run off. I waited quite sometime for a drink refill and more napkins. And the prices!!!! They have gone through the roof!!! It's just not a place I will be going to anymore. read more

Absolutely the best egg rolls in the OKC metro area. Hawaiian chicken is top tier! Sad to see price increases, but that's everywhere, esp with today's political climate. With that said, I will continue visiting and wish they would open a location closer to downtown OKC and/or the southside/Moore area. Moore hasn't had decent Chinese food since Peking closed down many years ago. read more

Only ate egg rolls here. We stopped with the egg rolls because they had peanut butter in them. Not something I expected or wanted in an egg roll. It didn't taste bad, but we chose not to chance what they would do to other dishes based on that. Service and ambience was good, nothing to complain about. read more

I have been eating here for years. The food quality did slip for a while but is back on track. When my children would vist me in Arkansas I would always have them bring food from Blue Moon. read more

Have loved Blue Moon forever. Their egg rolls and soup are the best we've found. The rest of the food is very good. read more

The food is always good, been here for years and the people recognize us. Never been busy enough that they lose the good service. Overall great place! read more

My favorite in Edmond. Old style Chinese with good flavor. They have a combination meal that includes multiple choices, soup, and egg roll. The dumplings are very good and the Rangoon wonton is among the best! The staff is very friendly and they run the restaurant like a well oiled machine. They also do great take out. The dining room is clean and open. They recently remodeled and painted the outside and it looks so much better. I'm so pleased Blue Moon is alive and well in Edmond! read more

My husband and I decided to branch off from our typical Chinese spot for some take-out. I was very impressed with the freshness and quality and the speed at which they made our food. We got crab Rangoon and Spring rolls to start. The crab Rangoon was good. The wonton was definitely much thinner than I'm used to and they were generous on the cream cheese layer. The spring rolls were crisp and fresh. My husband liked them but I wasn't as fond of the flavor (just a personal preference). The sesame chicken was some of the best quality I have had. It was actual chicken breast pieces and they were heavy on the chicken and very light on the breading. The sauce it was in was SO good. I would have loved to have extra of that sauce to put over everything. The one thing that could have been better was that it was way over cooked and got stuck in my throat. The lo mein was delicious. It could have used more flavor though. They also sent us with some fried rice that came with the sesame chicken and it was pretty tasty as well. read more

Terrible food, peanut butter egg rolls are recommended, awful. Service is 4 stars. Everything we tried there was not very good

Let me start by saying this is not my favorite style of food. However when I do eat it, I prefer authentic. This is your same old fast food with non fast food prices. The service seemed overwhelmed as there appeared to be only 1 waiter with quite a few people. And they only had water to drink. The atmosphere seemed stiff and closed off and no one was smiling or happy. It was as if you had interrupted dad and mom arguing. Maybe we just went on a bad day. But as I stated the food itself was definitely not up to par. read more

This place has been around a long time and continues to deliver good food. They have a clean environment and a very nice staff. There are lots of menu choices and we have enjoyed everything we have tried. read more

Best Chinese restaurant in Edmond. We won't eat anywhere else. Love their egg rolls! Service is always good.

The lady at the front was absolutely horrible to me. About a month ago, I went in and I tried to order a dish I hadn't tried before. When I ordered, she immediately told me that I wouldn't like it and asked me to pick something else. After attempting to order two more dishes, her telling me each time that I wouldn't like it and declining to put my order in, I finally asked what I could have that I "would like". She only offered me sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken, very basic meals, and just wouldn't let me get the dish I wanted. With me being a blonde haired, blue eyed person, it honestly seemed racist to assume that I wouldn't like the food that I was ordering based off of my appearance. Very off-putting, horrible service. Never again. read more

An Edmond staple ! Hands down the best lemon chicken ever. Great family style dining. read more

I heard great things about this place so I wanted to check it out. It was just okay. I would come back and try something else. Service was great and people were nice! I just didn't care for the food- it was nothing special. I liked the special roll over the egg roll. read more

My husband and I decided to try this place for the first time. My husband enjoyed his meal. Me...not so much. I was craving Spring rolls and theirs had chicken inside. Totally different taste. My Bourbon chicken was good, but there was something about the dish that made me sick. Took some for lunch the next day and had to stop eating 3 bites in. The presentation of the food and the storefront were nice. Service was excellent. I really wanted to like this place, but I can't. read more

This is my go to local Chinese restaurant in Edmond! The food is always delicious and comes out quickly, especially the egg rolls and egg flower soup! Eating here is always a nice and relaxing experience, definitely would recommend! read more

Took long. Food wasn't that good. The Hawaiian chicken was bland and the kung pao beef was not spicy. Kinda like panda express tbh.

This place was recommended to me by a few people and it was honestly 100% worth the hype! The food tasted amazing and is definitely worth the price you pay for the quality and quantity. read more

We ordered a couple appetizers, a chicken entree a beef entree, and some lo mein. Waitress offers her opinion... "that's a lot." We are trying different foods to figure out if this restaurant is worth it for us to come back. .... It's not. Horrible food. Terrible service etiquette. Some of the worst Chinese food we've ever had. Don't eat here. read more

The lady at the front desk was very rude for absolutely no reason. She came in the front room on the phone (which i did not see as it was up to her left ear and i was standing to her right.) she said "what is the name?" so i said my name and when she didn't say anything (mind you i do not see the phone in her hand) i asked "i'm sorry are you asking me?" and instead of saying something like "no, sorry one moment" she turned and looked at me with DISGUST and pointed very aggressively at the phone (which i now see). i felt bad at first but then when she finally started taking my order the phone started ringing and she grabbed it and immediately started talking to whoever was on the line instead and ignoring me completely. when i finally got to place my order, i was having a hard time finding everything on the tiny menu packed full of thing's written in tiny letters and that was completely unorganized, i asked how much the egg rolls were, and she slammed the menu down and pointed at the egg rolls saying "it's right here" in a very condescending manner. long story short she was rude as hell and the food was not worth the money or the drive. also i read other reviews about the lady at the front desk, and safe to say i don't think she likes white people. which as much as i get it, you're running a restaurant and believe it or not you can't just be rude to people you don't like. don't eat here unless you want dirty food and terrible service. read more

I love the Hawaiian chicken. This place was so good when I was a kid and I always come back when I can.

Food is always good. Easy to get take out and your order is always right! Restaurant always seems clean and service is always good. The lunch is the best deal and the Hawaiian chicken is my #1 recommendation. Locally owned, some of the staff have been there since I was in high school 20 years ago! read more

Pretty decent Chinese food. The fried rice is the one item that I wasn't too pleased with. It's very bland. Very little eggs, no scallions, and just not much flavor to it. read more

First of all the staff was not very friendly, and quite dismissive, even if you're nice to them. The food was mediocre at best and im almost positive they served me old egg rolls that were reheated. i was incredibly disappointed by the food considering i drove from Guthrie and spent almost $40. The place looked nice, but the seating area was uncomfortable to sit on for as long as i did while i waited for food. I went here because the China Garden (great place btw) in Guthrie was closed today and i needed dinner for my family, and it's safe to say i'm never coming back here again. read more

Service was great and it was fast but the food isn't very flavorful. Ordered the General Tso chicken, sesame chicken, and crab Rangoon's. Wouldn't recommend either of the entrees because the sauce tastes like it's watered down. The Rangoon's were good but had a very small amount of cream cheese. Don't feel like it's worth the price. read more

This has been our go to Chinese restaurant for over thirty years. They don't do buffet and everything is ordered off the menu. They have the best egg rolls and soup. Most everything else I have tried has been delicious also. It has a nice atmosphere. We always enjoy dining here. Lunch specials are reasonably priced also. read more

Best egg roll I have ever had. The rest of the food was amazing as well but the egg roll was next level.

Not the best, we won't be going back. Service was mediocre, had to wait forever for drink refills. Food was bland, not much flavor at all. Portion sizes varied. One plate had a ton of food while the other barely had any. Disappointing! read more

We ate at Blue Moon on Friday night. Covid precautions were taken with sanitization and social distancing at every other table. That was comforting, but we came for the food. What can I say, it was all delicious. A traditional Chinese order starting with hot tea, hot egg drop soup, and an egg roll. All very good. We got combo plates which included rice and three main dish selections, each. So we had servings of sweet and sour shrimp, Hawaiian chicken, garlic chicken, Kung pai, chicken almond ding, and moo goo gai pan. All of the selections were yummy. We will definitely be back. read more

This is the greatest Chinese restaurant in the OKC metro area, and an Edmond institution. We have been eating here as long as I can remember. It was a weekly treat that my parents would take us to Blue Moon on the weekend. It is always busy, always fresh, and one of those places where they know your order as soon as you walk in the door. Some things never change, and that is why Blue Moon is such a comfort. If you have never been, start a new tradition, you won't be disappointed. UPDATE: it is thanksgiving diet cheat week, and I decided to take my mom on a trip down memory lane. Blue Moon is just as good as it was when I was growing up. The food hasn't changed in 25 years. While many places have begun to cut corners, their quality stays the same. Perfect. It is always a special treat to sit in the dining room and enjoy a meal like we did every Friday when I was growing up. Don't get me wrong, the take out is always amazing, but it's just not the same. Also, there is not a buffet in sight, so you know they aren't serving you picked over food. Try it, you'll love it! read more

Paid $70 for chicken fried rice, beef lo mein, teriyaki chicken and orange chicken. Service was short and rude. Told us egg rolls would take too long to make because we ordered them 30 seconds after our main order. The chicken fried rice was tofu and when I asked she lied. Orange chicken was bland and chewy. Tea tastes like mop water. Also menu prices and final pricing is different. DO NOT EAT HERE. read more
