RARE EYE ROUND & BRISKET PHO l Pho Tai Gau
    Kathryn P.

This is.. hands down the best pho I have ever had in my life. The noodles are the softest noodles you can tell are home made every day. The broth is so flavorful both the chicken and the beef. The meat portions are CRAZY! I always reheat my leftovers for lunch the next day and it even reheats deliciously! The photo of the Brussels is purposely empty because we ate them in about 2 minutes. The sauce , the peanuts , on them, the crunch, chefs kiss and a must order appetizer! This is a staple restaurant in our line up now.

My wife and I are Vietnamese food connoisseurs, having been to Vietnam, we'd like to think our palette is well rounded We love trying local Vietnamese spots and this one just opened! This spot is owned by a local Orlando couple, whom are very welcoming. Our experience began with calling in asking about needing a reservation, Ava was very professional, spoke clearly and calmly. I add this is in because often times restaurant hostesses speak so fast you can't understand them. Our server was a great young man that was very upbeat and attentive. Ok... the food is what we came for.... And it's what we WILL be coming back for. House special Pho was fantastic, the broth was flavorful and had layers of flavors. Honestly just as good as the best pho we've had in Vietnam! The fresh rolls with peanut sauce were amazing! The crispy wings come in various order sizes, 4, 8, 12 and 20. 3 sauces to choose from, we went with Honey Garlic, the wings were SUPER crispy and not greasy at all. Overall 10/10 experience. The food is authentic. The owners are locals. The pho recipe is from a legacy Vietnamese family members grandmother. My wife and I are overjoyed that we have an authentic pho spot stateside! Must try for an authentic Vietnamese food experience!

The place is beautiful and I love how it conveniently connects to Nola ice cream making it super easy for all the kiddos to hop over from dinner to dessert! Anyways back to Pho bar, I've been to all the locations from down south Florida Davie and Pembroke pine to central Florida Orlando and now to Sandlake! Each location offers a different atmosphere all of which is very modern and welcoming and family friendly! The one thing that makes me super happy is the flavors remains consistent to the T. My son even said "wow mom this pho tastes just like the pho bar in Orlando!" We went as a group on grand opening day! It was lively and fun! Food was awesome as always. We tried some different mixed drink bc we came at 5 and they have happy hour half off of drinks from 5-6. We had a wonderful time. The service was attentive and polite and helpful as always! Definitely a great place to gather for friends and family to enjoy amazing food!

Pho Bar Sandlake opened this past weekend and I've already been twice. The short rib pho is so rich and decadent. The staff is also extremely welcoming.

I checked out Pho Bar in the Sand Lake area with my family on Friday evening and we are so glad that we did. The restaurant is really nice, modern, and very clean I was really impressed that the food came out incredibly fast, especially for it being the first day they were open. There were 4 of us and we each ordered a different variation of the pho. They were all amazing. The broth was so flavorful and the meat and noodles were perfect. IMO Pho Bar has the best pho in town! We also ordered their honey garlic chicken wings and could not get enough! They were crispy and delicious! On top of the quick service, every single staff member we interacted with was so nice and genuinely friendly. Highly recommend, go check them out! We will definitely be back!

The decor is impeccable. I started with the bread service. Delicious and warm with the softest and light butter you can imagine to smear. Next I had grilled oysters. They were small, but mighty in delicious flavor. Next I had the strawberry, watermelon and feta salad. The flavors exploded in my mouth... yummy. Our server, Maria, then brought me a taste of the Caesar salad and it too was outstanding. They prepare it freshly table-side and I love that they had anchovies . They have weekly chef specials and we had the lobster Thermidor. Large, fresh and absolutely decadent. Every bite was packed with flavor. I paired it with the brussel sprouts and again a 10/10... simply wonderful. They have an amazing and extensive wine selection of course. They also have a full bar to prepare whatever delights you. The chef also came out to visit us and I appreciates the dedication to curating a fantastic experience. They offer indoor and outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the fountain. From the service to the food, everything about this dining experience was magnificent and perfect!!! I highly recommend and will definitely return.

Hands down the star of the show was the shrimp dish, perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and honestly some of the best we've had in a while. We ended up ordering a second round just to enjoy it a little longer. Service was friendly and attentive the whole time, which made the experience even better. We chose seats at the bar and were greeted promptly by Brian and Rowan. Because there were a lot of people and just the two of them, they were running around taking orders from tables as well as servicing the bar so it did take a little bit to get our drink orders in, but we were enjoying looking through the whiskey library anyways. I started off with a Suncreek blonde ale. It is strawberry blonde ale and it's delicious. My husband started with the Yingling. He keeps hoping they will bring the Kentucky bourbon ale back on tap again. For lunch, I got the whiskey dip which is full of chopped beef with cheese and onions. Served with an herb, dipping sauce, and your choice of side. I opted for the sweet potato waffle fries because they are delicious. My husband got a burger with fries cooked perfectly. Once we are done with our food, we did opt for a taster. My husband had to go through several different bottles before he found one they actually had in stock. That is one of the downside is the whiskey library that is online is not always reflective of what they actually have in stock as he was really looking forward to trying the old Fitzgerald birthday, but alas, they did not have it in stock. He ended up going with the jack Daniels 12 year and really enjoyed it. I opted for the widow Jane 14 year very sweet easy to drink. Great service from Bryan and Rowan always enjoy seeing them behind the bar

I was sexy in every way, from the decor to the glassware, to the cigar corner. Every inch of the place was a vibe. Go see Manny, the bartender. His service was unmatched. He made me a Coconut Passionfruit Margarita with a Tajin rim. When I tell you that's THE BEST margarita I've ever had, I mean it. The waitress took one of our party's order wrong and he personally came over, made it right, and was our best friend the rest of the night. We got a yummy charcuterie board to soak up some of the alcohol. Highly recommend that too. The last thing I'll say is that even though we missed the live music, they were still playing the artist's music over the speakers. It's great to see them continue to support local talent because I immediately looked up the person and downloaded their music all because the establishment didn't stop supporting him after he stopped singing. It shows how deep they want to grow roots in the community. Love it and I'm absolutely going back.

Looking at the menu I was bit surprised they did not have more signature drinks on the menu, mainly mojitos, but then realized this is a Latin speakeasy, with music playing to match. They also have a full bar so anything you want they can make, The bartender and servers were super nice and friendly, and they worked quick to get all drinks out. They also had some food, that looked delicious, and hope I get the chance to come back to try some. After seating in the lounge/ speakeasy area for a while, we moved to the bar for a last drink. The bartender said Espresso Martinis were her specialty so we order those. She was not lying, one of the best we've had.

We did have to wait for just a minute because they were at changeover for servers and many of the night servers were just coming on.. We started with the lump crab hush puppies. They come as an order of four and they literally just kind of pop in your mouth. They are so good. We would definitely come back just to have those. My husband got the Cajun steak, but he got everything that comes on the steak on the side, including the seasoning. He wasn't sure how spicy the seasoning was or what the sauce was and he likes to be able to control that himself. Steak was good. He did have a little bit of the season and said next time he definitely order it with the seasoning on as the seasoning wasn't that spicy. He also got a side of the au gratin potatoes and the collard greens. The collards were not the best. They definitely need some more flavor. He added hot sauce to it and it helped it but they definitely need some additional seasoning. The potatoes were good although as you got to the bottom, they definitely were not cooked all the way through. They could've been cooked a little bit longer. I got the chicken and waffle - it comes with four pieces of chicken and a half waffle. The waffle is really delicious. It's got a little crunch on the outside but a little sweetness in it and the chicken was absolutely amazing. I would definitely get the fried chicken again there is a reason they are famous for it. Our server, Ariana was incredibly sweet and very attentive to us throughout the night. Great service like that would also have us come back to this location again in the future.

I was there with 3 other people and they weren't thrilled about their food either, it was a shame. The food was also not consistent. 2 ppl overweight Mac and cheese, one came out with breadcrumbs the other didn't, 2 ppl ordered oysters-1 order was good the other was clearly burnt. The area that this restaurant is in has many quality restaurants with great tasting food, I'd go elsewhere with my money.

The bar tenders were super attentive and the specific one who was serving us was on point. He was friendly - very attentive - even let my husband try a small sampling of their hand selected Blantons. My husband got the pork chop for dinner, which is his go to and like always it was perfectly cooked. He very rarely orders pork chops at any other restaurant that we dine at, but he always gets it here that tells you just how good it is. I stuck with my go to which is the creste de Gallo. The flavor in the dish is just so good and the portion size is perfect. The bartenders were also amazing--friendly, attentive, and on top of everything, which made the happy hour experience that much better. I had originally planned on doing Magical Dining, so I started with the Albondigas (Spanish meatballs). Unfortunately, they were a major disappointment. The texture was strangely rubbery, they lacked flavor, and they weren't served very hot. After a few bites, I honestly lost my appetite and decided not to continue with the rest of the Magical Dining meal. It's unfortunate because the restaurant itself has a beautiful, lively atmosphere, and the bar experience was excellent. I really wanted to enjoy dinner as much as I enjoyed the drinks and service. Overall, 3/5. I would definitely come back for happy hour, the Espresso Martinis and bartenders alone make that worthwhile but based on the food I tried, I wouldn't rush back for dinner.
