We've driven past this location more than a handful of times whenever we are in the area and I've always wanted to try it since I've seen other people comment about this place. They did not disappoint! Very flavorful broth and easy ordering at the counter. Plenty of options on the menu for everyone to leave happy. The owner was very friendly and kept checking on us to see how we were doing even if it is counter service. We found out he is from Northern Virginia like I am (I miss the food back home) and overall was very pleasant to talk to. Very disappointed with the misleading lunch special advertised both outside the restaurant and on its website: $12.99 Pho from 11 AM-3 PM. There was no clear statement that the special was dine-in only or that it applied only to certain Pho choices. When I previously called, I was told that P2-P6 qualified for the $12.99 special and that I could call in an order. Based on that information, I later tried to order 12 bowls for my employees, only to be told that the special was dine-in only. If that restriction applies, it should be clearly stated on the sign and website. I was also disappointed with the Banh Mi. For $9, the amount and type of meat were not what I expected from an authentic Banh Mi. I'm sharing this because customers work hard for their money, and restaurant promotions should be clear and consistent. Please be honest and transparent with your advertised specials. An interesting concept, a pho drive thru spot in Orlando. This spot is located near the Florida Mall and was not what I was expecting. I've been here twice in the last week now. The drive thru process was pretty simple and once you reach the window you do have to wait for about 10 - 15 minutes depending upon your order. Since this Florida weather is nothing to play about, the peach iced tea was refreshing with the perfect amount of sweetness. Also, the service was the drive thru was very friendly and nice. So the banh mi was huge! The bread was fresh and buttery soft. All of the condiments on the sandwich were fresh and crispy and added that perfect bite you want in a banh mi. The only complaint I had for the bahn mi was the chicken is a bit on the drier side and maybe it's because it's shredded. However, the condiments and sauce make up for the amazing flavor profile. So, our GPS has been doing weird shit since we moved here & didn't appear to go to a building - rather the destination dot was in the middle of an empty parking lot. Scanning the area, we saw a Harbir Freight on one side, and a Wendy's in the other. Confusing. We veered off towards the Wendy's & the sign was changed to "PHO DRIVE THRU". Jackpot! We walked in and saw the condiment station, awesome. Decor was interesting, but the knew we were in for good food when I saw the Buddhist shrine & the menu haha! The guy at the register is super nice & even helped me pick my food. We talked about the heart tattoos we both had next to our left eyes. Randy me up fast. The interior you can tell it used to be fast food, but no biggie, we're there for the food. Our food came really fast! I got a pork chop with rice, husband got combo pho. They gave us an extra small bowl of pho broth too. I ended up freestyling a bit by cutting up the pork chop & addin that, pickled veg & fish sauce to the broth. flippin amazing!! everybody had leftovers. The automatic star deduction is that the bathroom looked like a scene out of a horror movie - hadn't been deep cleaned in a long time. I literally thought to myself "if anything falls into this sink it's straight to the trash" just as my lancet fell in. lol. good thing i have others because this is going into the trash! When I originally heard of a pho drive thru I thought it was funny picturing someone eating hot pho while driving trying to not hit any potholes. But once you experience this place you'll appreciate their speedy service. The decor in this place is unique and fun. I was pleasantly surprised to find this place and how affordable it is. I ordered their strawberry yogurt drink with popping strawberry boba. It was really good and refreshing. The yogurt made it a bit more tart than sweet which was nice. Especially paired with the popping strawberry boba which added a bit of sweetness to every sip. The service was friendly and it did take us a couple minutes while they were making the drink which I had no problem with. I definitely need to come back and check this place out. I have a few things I'd like to try. We'll definitely come back for that drink. They do have some unique menus on the items, so if you're feeling adventurous, definitely explore here. While my girls and I were enjoying and waiting for drinks at Saiko, decided to order lunch from Pho Drive Thru (since it was across the parking lot). Went inside to place the order. Co was the man who took our order. Very nice, professional, and friendly. I asked him for extra broth to drink on the side of our dishes. Paid a little extra ($2). While we were waiting for our order, we stocked up on the condiments that were on the side. Fish sauce, hot sauce, chili sauce, etc. It was for to go so we were on our way after we had our food. When we arrived at our resort, that was 30 minutes away, I realize they've never put the broth in which I was looking forward to. Called them to give them a heads up and the man who picked up the phone was very rude and unaccommodating. Instead of apologizing for the simple mistake, he said that they don't give broths for to go orders. The pho you mean? (Pun intended) How do you explain that when everyone orders the pho to go? And I paid for it. Anyway, I'm not going back now. We tried our food and were highly disappointed at the quality. Not as good as everyone raved about. The broth wouldn't be able to save it. The only thing I have enjoyed was the egg quiche that came with the broken rice. Overpriced Vietnamese food that wasn't authentic. Won't be coming back and do not recommend. Pho Drive Thru has improved since my last visit. It was good before but my latest meal has made me decide to be a regular customer. Other Yelper's report new owners. Perhaps that explains some of the recent improvements like the super clean accessible restroom. I dined in and had great service. I made a special request and my food was quickly prepared and delivered. What an interesting concept that actually works! The drive-thru experience was as you expect from any drive-thru place. The service was okay but understandable as we were just going through the drive-thru so not much service can be expected. I finished placing my order and usually you'd get a confirmation followed by a "please proceed to the next window" but we didn't get one so we sat there for half a minute wondering if we could move up. Regardless, we were there for the food which did come out pretty quick. Once we got home, we put everything together and got to eating. The pho was delicious, no doubt about that. The broth was fragrant and still hot. We enjoyed every bite. Overall, the experience was good but not great and we did get a "drive-thru" specialty pho which was over $27 per bowl and honestly was not worth it for the ribeye steak. We were visiting from out of state and needed some pho the morning after being on a 5-day cruise. Visited Pho Drive Thru right when they opened (10am) and received quick and friendly service. Love the idea of a drive-thru for pho, wish we had this concept in my hometown! Before ordering, I specifically inquired about a crispy fried tofu banh mi and was assured they had it. Even before finalizing my payment, I was confirmed again that I wanted the "crispy fried tofu." After a brief wait, I received my sandwich and headed to my appointment. However, upon opening the banh mi, it did not contain tofu. I promptly called the location, and the gentleman I spoke with was very nice and apologetic, explaining that they only have a vegetarian option and tofu was not something they offer. He kindly offered a refund if I came back after my appointment. Shortly after, I received a call from a different associate, who reiterated that I had in fact received a vegetarian banh mi. While I appreciated their response, I was disappointed since that wasn't what I had ordered. I've enjoyed banh mi from various places before, and I understand the difference between vegetarian options and crispy tofu. And I have gotten this previously from them and it was not good. I didn't appreciate how he tried to justify what I received was in fact vegetarian. I'm far from being a vegetarian but I just prefer crispy tofu bahn mi. If they said they didn't have tofu, I would have been fine with just all veggies. I understand that mistakes happen, but clearer communication from the staff could have prevented this misunderstanding. At this point, I've decided not to pursue returning for a refund, but I hope this feedback can help improve clarity for future customers. "Pho" and "Drive-Thru" are words that I thought would never go together in the same sentence... not even in my wildest dreams. So when I heard of a new drive-thru concept for this Vietnamese staple I was very curious and excited to try it out. Located on Orange Blossom Trail this restaurant is easily spotted from the street and has an ample amount of parking. When you first arrive you order at the front counter and receive a number for your order, then they deliver to your table directly. The inside was brightly lit and had a good amount of seating ...and what I LOVED was that they had a toppings/sauce bar which is something you do not see normally at a Vietnamese restaurant. The toppings bar had fresh herbs and pickled garlic and jalapeños for you to add to your soup. The sauce bar had the standard hoisin, saracha options as well as hot chili oil and fish sauce. Since I like putting a lot of extra add-ins to my pho, I thought that this self-serve bar was such a smart idea! My order came out pretty quickly... now this is where things fell a bit short for me. The pho look very beautiful especially for photos but it did have few cons. The pho noodles were a bit over cooked and mushy and the broth was just ok... for the price point of the menu items I definitely had high expectations but unfortunately they were not met. Maybe it was just an off day. I would say that not all was a miss... my strawberry boba tea was very delicious and refreshing. I would definitely come back specifically for the boba. Also another pro is that the folks working were very nice and attentive! Overall, I truly wanted to like this spot...but there were just some things that I could not overlook. The place was clean and there a great bar with sauces and toppings. They also provide complimentary cold water which helps if you like your pho a little spicy like I do.
