I ordered my usual....pho with no meat. Have ordered this many, many times. Tonight's order had no onions and they had substituted sliced cabbage for the bean sprouts. I realize that sometimes items are not available and things can get left out especially now, but I should have been informed of the substituion to have the opportunity to choose another dish. So once the Pho frenzy became the next band wagon thing for people to try, I too was skeptical about trying this stuff. No idea what it was but I wanted something to eat with friends be they Vietnamese or anything else. So I tried this place because it's near my house and wow I was upset at what I was missing out on for so long. This is amazing. So this place Pho Bang is really nice really chilled spot to come eat. A lot of seating and a lot to eat also. The pho is actually very good in my opinion. Most Vietnamese people I know critique all these places and say that this one is one of the best places to eat. The broth is perfect for pho, but I mean who can beat these prices for pho? Long time customer, me and my family have been going here for years. If you love love noodles, and can eat it as a meal, and only with a few spoonful of broth, then this is your go to place. Not sure if it was just the people inside for us, but I literally ordered a large pho just to have more broth than I had last time, and still asked to have more broth than noodles. I guess next time I come to pho bang I'll just order a small pho, just broth. Because that was ridiculous. When we asked for more broth, they gave us a small tiny bowl, that is normally served as a side pho when ordering a rice plate. Went back up there, since we had 3 bowls to accommodate, they gave us 2 more "side pho's", which is fine, but our bill was a lot more for what we ordered. In conclusion, customer service could've been a little better, and hopefully they will stop loading bowls up with noodles only. read more

I have to say by for their food is delicious when I tell you there a come out not only piping hot but just as you order and is very plentiful with the amount that you receive it is always welcome to have quality in our quantitee and they deftly set the bar pretty high and I had phò soup. Well let first let's start with appetizers we had some viet rolls which came in 4 for $6.50 but I was highly disappointed when they were a bit chewy and really hard as if they been fried for 30 minutes I was not happy because I often find them crispy not hard and not chewy that's why it's not getting a 4 star or 5 the place is definitely pricy if u get appetizers but a large bowl of noodles is quite cheap I had the number 6 and it was delicious the broth was good and the meat was really soft easy to bite into the soup broth was really flavorful you can really taste that the broth have been cooked for a long time so if I have to say 5 stars for the noodles but then when you look at the drink menu you will be surprised to find so many thing are pricey wayyyyyy to pricey a lemon soda drink is like $4 no refills and if I remember it is a can of soda water with sugar and squeezed lemon which was good but wasn't worth the money!!! The restaurant was almost empty when I arrived and I think it contributed to how quickly they were able to get my order out to me. Either way, it seemed like I had just turned to look at the menu when my tea arrived. My pho was also out in record time. The tea was a sweet jasmine and was wonderful. The pho I ordered came with the usual basil, sprouts, lime, and jalapeños. The soup was hot, rich, and tasted fabulous. While I'm in town visiting, I may have to stop off here a few times. read more

This is my go-to for when I'm craving pho or bun bo hue. The owner is so sweet and friendly and the food always comes out fast. The pho is good, food and service are consistent and the menu is very reasonably priced. I don't eat rice often but I have tried their rice dishes (com bo luc lac, com thit nuong, etc) and they're tasty as well. Portions are generous. I especially like this location because it's very clean and spacious with plenty of seating available. Great place to get in and out if you're pressed for time. read more

Came here for the first time recently and had the "Pho Đac Biet". It was amazing, and I heard that this is the best place around the area that has good pho. A large bowl would give you plenty of meat. The meat and noodle ratio was on point. There was a lot of meat, more than the regular bowl that you would have somewhere else. I also had the crab meat rangoon, surprisingly it was pretty good because Vietnamese places like these wouldn't have crab rangoon. Definitely recommend getting the large Pho Đac Biet read more

This is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in all of New Orleans. So the same family has the Pho Bang on Claire avenue as well(that one's even better!!) The one on Manhattan is great! The broth is solid and ingredients are quality. I give them 2nd place for Pho as the Pho Hao on Manhattan has a darker broth and I really like that. Everything else on the menu goes to this place though. Service is exceptional and everyone is so nice. I typically get the Pho with everything in it, or the #28 with grilled pork and egg rolls inside of the vermicelli bowl. Their homemade pepper sauce is legit as well. Crab Rangoon doesn't happen too often but it's so good! Love this place, love the people there. Definitely worth a try. If you're afraid of the soup get the #28 you won't be disappointed! read more

This location is MUCH BETTER than the dingy motel and sketchy people hanging outside the convenience store at their Westbank Location, Note: They are the same owners as the Westbank's Pho Bang restaurant and the pho here is as good. The pho as always, is jam packed with meat (not the few beef shreds and fat you get at most pho places). Service was fast and you don't wait to be seated here, you sit your butt down and they'll bring you the menu, no BS chit-chat, order what you want, get it fast and you'll get a good solid pho. I've been here twice in a week since they opened, yeah it's that good, I am writing my review based on the pho, but if you order the pork with egg roll noodle dish, I'll rate that a 3, the pork meat was bad but the homemade egg rolls , veggies and noodles were SUPER tasty. Pho Bang is a local chain restaurant. They've been operating for over 10 years now. I believe their first location is in the East (Versai). I grew up there & it was normal for all families to brunch there after church. Anyways, there's two locations in the Wank. I actually prefer the Expressway location more but have dined at the Manhattan location as of lately. I enjoy the small bowl of pho with brisket only. The broth is flavorful and the bowl is always loaded with meat ! I ask for extra cilantro and onion. Then, add fresh jalapeño, basil, bean sprout, and lime juice in my bowl. 4/5 finally some quality! after seeing marielle check-in and her insta's, i had it on the shortlist. conveniently had a late meeting in algiers then it started raining = right time and right weather for pho! hustled over to manhattan (which conveniently also positioned me for a target trip after) and found this place bathed in fluorescent. once your eyes adjust, you grab a table and put in your order. i got everything except omasa (at first i couldn't figure out "omasa" and then she kindly informed me it was tripe, which, just too chewy). and i got some of the fried rolls, which arrived stuffed. like if there were double stuf options for rolls, these were it. no silly fillers, all yummy meat. then the pho. oh my. upon initial arrival, i just knew it was going to be good. you could just see it. slightly steaming, bright greens, smooth and pink meat, clear broth. emphasis on clear broth - i've found other spots serve up this muddled dark stuff and it just doesn't demonstrate quality. a good broth is clear and has a clean smell (if that makes sense). the noodles had the right bite, and i was impressed with the amount of meat in my "small" order, albeit a little on the fatty side. i'm already checking my calendar for my next round of westbank meetings so i can make another trip here! read more

Pho Bang on Manhattan is a local chain restaurant and is pretty consistent with their dishes. The pho beef broth is delicious. I've also had the chargrilled pork vermicelli, lemon grass chicken rice dish, and the pho bo kho (beef stew with noodles) is the best! If you're looking for a bahn mi sandwich, they aren't on the menu. Sorry. My one recommendation would be that they clean the dirty tables right away instead of leaving them full of food. A more limited menu than I'm used to at other Westbank Pho restaurants, but what they serve is very, very good. I knew what I wanted, but I was getting takeout to bring home and had no idea what to get the husband. The woman working the counter made a suggestion, and he loved it, so yay for that. Mine was excellent as well. I still prefer Tan Dinh and Pho Tau Bay, but this place is closer to my house for a quick Pho takeout night. This is by far our favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the city. The grilled pork spring rolls with the peanut sauce are incredible. I personally love the Lemongrass Chicken ( #33) and my boyfriend gets the large #9 noodles. They also have bubble tea, which is pretty good! They offer a lot of new things, too, like a pretty great stew. Overall, this is one of the best restaurants in the city and this is by far the best of their locations. Try it out!! read more

I've been here a few times and have enjoyed their portions and soup base of the pho's. The baby has finally started to eat more solids and she will gobble up her portion. This place is the real deal! I went with the spring rolls with pork egg roll inside... one of the most interesting and surprisingly tasty things I've had in awhile! The beef steak and brisket pho was wonderful. The broth was very flavorful and the small was more than enough food. The prices were very decent and overall a great experience.
