So happy I found this spot in Terrytown. You can actually see the chef preparing the food .The food is really good, even the leftovers.

Fast and good, the only major issue was the small serving of chicken lo mein, we got a large but it wasnt very big, barely feeds 2 people. The crab ragoon was good but they are small so they come as a 10 piece so at least its a good amount. Sweet and sour chicken meal was normal. The fried rice was fine a bit dry, and the chicken was a generous helping. It was good food but nothing special stood out, i wouldn't say its better than china wok or other Chinese places on the area. Pretty basic. Spent about 27 bucks for it all so thats not so bad but again the "large" chicken lo mein was really skimpy and not very much chickem either, but at least the flavor was good. The place wasnt very busy at all but i expect it to be quick no matter what (im always told my order will be ready in 10 min when i order chinese no matter the order size lol). What a disappointment today. I ordered orange flavored beef from Best Wok which is one of my favorite fast food Chinese places. If there was a ounce of beef in this dish I would be shocked. It was all breading and fat. It was gross! The only saving grace was the orange sauce is absolutely delicious. You mean the worst wok. Had the chicken and mixed vegetables which I thought was a very simple choice. The dish is 100% raw and had 0% seasoning not even a trace of salt or pepper. Chicken is as white as an onion. The vegetables still have their raw crunch like it came out of a salad. I was so disappointed because my first experience wasn't bad at all but that was a while ago. I was trying to decide between subway or Best Wok and decided of course to support a family business/small business instead of a fast food chain. I wasn't disappointed! This restaurant received 4-stars because they actually deliver to the Algiers Point neighborhood. That being said... Skip the fried scallop appetizer. However, their crab rangoons are pretty good, as are their fried dumplings. As fas as entrees go, the food is plentiful and quite decent. I've tried their sweet and sour combo (shrimp, pork, and chicken), their General Tso chicken (not really as spicy as I'm used to), and their Mongolian beef. I've also had their pork fried rice - and it was really good. One thing that was really impressive (besides the delivery ;0)) ) was Best Wok's willingness to make special order items. For instance, I don't like egg in my fried rice, and they left it out without charging me OR telling me that they couldn't/wouldn't cater to my taste. All-in-all, great for delivery - however, if I go out for Chinese, I'd head over to China Doll (Westbank) or Five Happiness (Eastbank). read more

The best take out Chinese on the West Bank. It's always incredibly fresh and the employees are friendly and warm. The young woman who is usually behind the counter has the most beautiful smile and the kindest face. If you are having a bad day you will feel good just to be greeted by her! There are a few tables but it's mostly take out. They also deliver in the neighborhood. read more
