    Drunken noodles with tofu
    Steven N.

It's decent.... Not something I'd write home about. I get that there are minimal options for delicious Asian food, so my friend and I decided to try this place out. Hailing from Southern California, there are many options for Asian food, so both of our palettes are well versed in the cuisine. That being said, it was actual decent, better than I thought it would be. I ordered the drunken noodles with tofu. The flavor was good and they gave good portions. What is blasphemous is the price. Maybe it's because they have to import everything, but wow, I found it 50% more than what I'd pay for here. But it is what it is. If you're craving Asian food in this area, this restaurant is serviceable. Also don't be thrown off by the fact that it doubles as a motel or that it has "nudee" in the name. It is still a functioning restaurant

If you're looking for good pho in the valley, this is a hidden gem! More than enough veggies/ meat/ noodles for the broth! We found this place on DoorDash initially while fighting a nasty cold and I swear it's the cure-all!

When I discovered Pho about a year ago I was amazed something could be so tasty. It became an instant favorite. I'd say I'm just getting to the point where I can evaluate the dancing swirl of goodness each bowl represents. I started my visit with a locked door. The hours said 11:00 opening time. Clock read 11:08. That was last negative thing that happened. The owner (I'm guessing) welcomed me in just moments later. He gave great info when I asked about menu items and explained the "spicy-ness." I decided to start with some satay do I could peruse the very nice menu with many options. Within five minutes, a fresh, piping hot appetizer was on my table. It included a peanut sauce and a delicious cucumber sweet/sour dip. The Pho was quick to follow. It was perfect. But let me explain. It wasn't salty. It was perfect for adding the delicious sauces available on the table so I could make it the right blend of spicy. There was fresh FRESH basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, and limes. The bowl was huge and couldn't be finished. Plan for leftovers! It is a simple and small place. Very limited on the sodas.

Stopped for lunch. The restaurant is nestled in between motel rooms. Small place but busy I had the pad see ew with beef and my husband had pho with meatballs. Both dishes were very tasty. The meatballs were not typical round beefy balls. But delicious. My dish had a good amount of beef and the flowerheads of the broccoli. The food came out quickly. Enjoyed it immensely.

Stopped in here after reading the reviews and was happy I did! Had the Pad Thai which was great. Everyone's food was equally as good and would def come back.

Stopped by here for dinner around 7:40pm on Sunday, after checking out the Matanuska Glacier. We ordered Pad see ew with chicken, stir fry broccoli with tofu, and beef and brisket pho. Everything tasted good! The pad see ew noodles were not the wide rice noodles, but it tasted like your standard Thai pad see ew seasoning. Broccoli and tofu stir fry was good, very healthy! Lastly the pho, very authentic! We live in Los Angeles and have gone to numerous Vietnamese-owned pho restaurants, this place's pho is on par! Even their dipping sauces are standard! :) prices are good compared to other Asian restaurants we've been to in Alaska. Our three dishes came out to be $39!

Good food for the valley! Not to expensive, super nice customer service, only Thai place in Palmer Cons: No alcohol. Doesn't feel very Asian, more like joes smoes burger joint.

A hidden gem in the Chugiak/Peters Creek area. It's connected to the VFW, and easy to miss. While I…read morethink that the local community is now well aware of their presence, it is absolutely worth driving from Anchorage or stopping on your way through to sample. They open most days at 4 PM, however, calling ahead to verify and check wait times is not a bad idea. About two weeks ago, a pick up order was called in for three entrées at 6:00pm and we were told there was a 45 minute wait, that turned into an hour and a half. When I arrived at the 1hour mark with two elderly and very hungry parents in the car, there appeared to be nobody dining in, but there were a few people pacing while waiting to pick up food. After about 15 minutes, one lady rang the service bell multiple times and when a staff member came out she angrily declared she'd like to pay for something she had consumed, canceled the rest of her order, and stormed out. I asked the other folks how long they had been there and the consensus was that they had been waiting quite a while. After another half hour wait and a few more folks arriving to pick up, my families order was the first ready. It was steaming hot and obviously fresh as having just been completed. I hope everyone else got their food in quick succession. It seemed likely there was an issue in the kitchen as sometimes the wait is long when they're busy but they've been pretty accurate in expressing wait times in the past. A subsequent order two days ago called in at about 4:15 was ready in 20 minutes. So the secret may be calling before dinner time. Their menu is delicious. Everything is always prepared so well and we have never been disappointed. Favorites have been red curry and green curry, both are pretty spicy but remarkable. Pad Thai and the Bangkok noodle are also delicious. Pineapple fried rice is quite possibly something you haven't tasted before, but will want to have again, spring rolls are always a favorite, Sesame chicken has never failed, and any order where tofu is a non-meat choice, the tofu is absolute perfection. The dining room is way too hot for this Alaskan, but is spacious and can seat large parties. Call ahead and check the wait times but definitely check this place out for dinner. It is family owned, and they are very friendly, taking great pride in the food they prepare and their service.

It's a large space, and half the restaurant didn't have lights on, but it was fine. I ordered the chicken satay which came on a slice of bread, which I had never seen before. It was simple and tasted good. I also had the beef pho with thin sliced beef, and I added meatballs. I ordered the SMALL, it was a huge portion! Wish they had an even smaller portion. It was $18 which is a little higher than what I am accustomed to, but it is AK. I try to eat pho whenever I travel, just for comparison. This broth was a little on the sweet side for me, but that's just personal preference.

This is not the first business in this space and much of the floor covering and the dining bar are from a previous tenant. It is clean, the staff are efficient and polite. I was having a late lunch about 2 PM on a Wednesday and the restaurant was not busy. But judging from what I observed I believe that they do a large takeout busy and are busy at meals times and the evening. They accept credit cards and would be excellent for families. Ten tables for four, 8 chairs for dining bar. They have daily specials. The menu has many Thai Curry dishes that you select the meat or fish additions. They also have a list of many PHO dishes to accompany the Thai dishes. As this is my first time eating here and as I always do I having my favorite soup dish. I have been enjoying this dish for more than 50 years. I believe if they can make this soup I can evaluate how they rate at least on this one dish. I usually find if they do this soup well their other dishes will be excellent also. Now to important evaluation of the soup. The soup arrived timely and steaming hot from the burner. A large bowl with the correct color of the broth and an aroma that promised an excellent broth. The broth was well seasoned but not too spicy for anyone that eats this spicy style soup. The flavor was excellent and among the best. I requested chicken and the bowl had a large amount of tender breast meat cut in 1" sized pieces. It was free of any skin, fat or trim. Cooked to perfection and flavored with the broth. The vegetables consisted of fresh sliced mushrooms, green onions, cherry tomatoes sliced in half, white onion slices and Thai basil. The soup was a meal in itself with out the rice. After eating a portion of the soup I added the rice and allowed it to soak up the broth but with plenty of broth remaining. The flavor and consistency of the soup was excellent and I will return to hav more. The Thai iced tea was lightly flavored with a slice of lemon and very good. PS: as an additional note in one of the pictures is a large red box with a photo of a young girl in bed. She is 15 and very ill with a serious medical condition. She has lost her father and her mother and friends are struggling to support her and the Med bills. They are politely asking for donations to help with her care. This is a family effort of the restaurant families. Please consider a donation when you stop by to eat.
