Went here for the first time recently, and i absolutely loved the experience and atmosphere of the restaurant! Servers and staff were so kind, and the food was AMAZING. So many options and so delicious! read more

We had lunch service and both meals were delicious. I had the curry and it was rich and creamy with just enough spice. The Mongolian beef was a little bit sweeter than preferred but still great. The broth for wonton soup was flavorful. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. There was several other patrons there, but it wasn't loud and we could still hold a conversation. read more

Jenna is a darling however, the food was extremely underwhelming. I got the dinner special Mongolian beef and it was quite sweet. My partner got panang curry and it was quite oily and lacked depth, there was only chicken in his soup... Wonton soup over the miso soup for sure! I tried the green Thai tea and was Soo excited but it tasted more like condensed milk than the tea and it came with a tacky silly straw The atmosphere and customer service were great, i love that there are nice dining options for the area! I wouldn't recommend coming here for the food but if you're looking for an aesthetic upbeat restaurant look no further. My friends really liked their noodles that came with crunchy chow mein (not dinner special) so I could only recommend that. read more

Pros: -Great ambiance with amazing windows and tall doors giving this location a certain sense of luxury. Think like a fancy PF Chang's -Esthetically pleasing food with great colors and layouts -the chicken soup and California rolls were the best things our group ordered. -SUPER friendly staff! Cons: -food is pricey -food wasn't the best tasting. In my party of 4, we ordered many items with only a few good items. The Mongolian beef was that overtly sweet and salty. The crab wontons were very oily. The pagnag curry VERY oily, lacked any vegetables, and taste like a lot of coconut milk. The chicken salad was not impressive and tasteful especially considering the high price tag -the hot tea we ordered was overstepped and overpriced -the milk teas taste like premade teas and were WAY too sweet. Overall, this place is great for the vibe and atmosphere and customer service but not the food read more

New building is awesome. Too bad it's in a spot that doesn't provide a mtn view or something. The food is still high quality and the service is very attentive. You can't go wrong with this Chinese spot. read more

The new building is beautiful. You can tell a lot of work was put into it. The miso soup was delicious. Probably one of the best I've had. The crab Rangoon and fried rice were also great. I don't think I'll order the Mongolian beef from here again. It was thick compared to other Mongolian beef recipes and not as flavorful. My husband got the wagyu and honestly we aren't experts in wagyu but it just seemed like a regular NY strip. There wasn't any of the normal marbling you'd expect to see and it was much tougher than the wagyu we've had in the past. The server was kind so overall it was a good experience but we will probably reserve this as an every now and then as there are other similar restaurants that are more reasonably priced. read more

Another fantastic dish, we went for the Hot & Sour Soup our staple, we always get 2 large orders, but we were grabbing To Go and decided on the Mongolian Beef! Let me tell you best Mongolian Beef in Alaska we've ever had. For a snack in the car we nibbled on 2fried spring rolls. Tender succulent beef and perfect sauce with the onions and scallions! This place is the best Asian in Wasilla bar none for many items. You can always count on the quality and the taste is spot on! read more

This is my go to Sushi place in the Valley, as well as their sister location in Eagle River. I see them as Asian Fusion, Thai and Sushi with several classic and well recognized pan-Asian dishes. The service is fast and friendly making this an ideal lunch spot if you're on a tight schedule or a leisurely meal as you will it be pushed out the door. Clean! It's always clean The Sushi and Sashimi is fresh and well prepared and served beautifully. Pro Tips: I'm not a fan of the Pad Thai And Monkey Brains are delicious but feel free to order with just the spicy tuna and hold the imitation crab FYI their new location, just 100 yards from their current location, should be open next year. read more

I've been here multiple times, enough to have tried at least 50 percent of the menu, which is relatively unchanging (and glad for that, because it's good!). I have whittled my preferences down to a couple of servings of maguro, with hot green tea. Then a Monkey Brain, sometimes with a house roll. They are proud of what they serve (as they should be) so be prepared to spend a bit of green. Reservations are not required but the wait is usually short. While the faces of the service team change frequently, they are always polite and attentive. Looking forward to enjoying dining in their tripled-in-size new location, just a few steps away.....still under construction at the time of this review. read more

Came here with my husband after passing it many times. The inside was pretty and welcoming with gorgeous paintings of Asia! We were seated immediately and serviced super fast. Everything came out insanely fast and the food was pipping hot! It was great! We ordered egg rolls, sesame chicken and teriyaki chicken. All of it tasted great and well made. The portions were also much larger than we expected so I'm glad I didn't order a side of soup or salad. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Although, there was a young girl who looked like Wednesday Adam's that was running food; she was stomping around so loudly you could hear her moving around in the kitchen area from the front sitting room and feel the whole floor bouncing around. It was incredibly distracting. She also was throwing the plates of food and on the tables very abruptly. I'm sure she was just super busy but it was wild. Overall, I highly recommend this place! Great Asian food, especially on a cold windy day! Will absolutely return! read more

Very nice ambiance, and attentive staff. I was eating alone following an appointment, and was offered a seat at the sushi bar, or booth. I sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed a Thai tea. Loved the tall glass and the cute straw that had a swirl in the top, and it was delicious! I went with a side order of dumplings, and the crunch roll as my main entree. Was all very yummy and really hit the spot. read more

Visiting Alaska from Las Vegas and found this place. I can't think of a restaurant in Vegas whose ambiance and look is as nice as Basil Ginger in Wasilla. The building is amazing both inside and out. We spent half the time just looking around. Pretty impressive. The food and service was outstanding. We had everything from Mongolian beef to ribeye steak to Asian chicken salad. All of it was excellent! I highly recommend trying the cheese cake desert. I've never had better. 5 stars. read more

A surprise and a delight! We have only lived in AK three years, but we really miss the sushi available in So Cal. This was reminiscent. So, delicious! We ordered the edamame and asked for them to be sautéed with garlic, though not on the menu, they gladly accomodated. The house rolls were innovative and made with well sourced ingredients. I had the Dancing eel as I am partial to unagi. I also ordered the house recipe Green Curry with prawns. Everything was perfectly cooked. The dish included 8 nice sized shrimp and plenty of veggies. The waitress warned me it was one of their spiciest dishes. It was spicy, but not so spicy that it drowned out the rich flavors. My husband ordered the Dragon Roll, Philadelphia and the dancing girl. He was very happy with his sushi fix. They did not have green mussels which was a small disappointment, very small. The food was delicious! The presentation too! Wow! I wished Id taken a photo to share. Delightful! And the cost was about $160 with the tip. Not far from the prices we were used to paying, and we'll worth it in our opinion. That was the delightful part. Now for the surprise. The atmosphere was lovely right down to the live orchids on the table. There was plenty of attentive and efficient staff. Our waitress Taylor was solicitous and kind. This is a brand new building for a well established business and we are all the beneficiaries. We will be back! read more

This is a really beautiful restaurant with very attentive staff. We ordered from the lunch menu and the dinner menu. From the lunch menu we ordered the Panang Curry with Chicken ( includes 4 pieces of a California Roll) and a Fire Toll from the dinner menu. The lunch menu comes with your choice of soup. We chose the Hot and Sour Soup. The soup was excellent. I could have used a straw and a bigger bowl of this deliciousness!! We received the lunch order of curry fairly quickly. This would be very convenient for folks who have a limited time to eat during the work day. The roll came shortly after and was fully loaded! No skimping on this one! Now, down to the food. The soup was exceptional, the roll was great ( it was a fried roll) and the curry was decent. Not sure if they always add a heap of Thai basil stems on top.... But they did in this situation. I did not care for that. Unfortunately, there was a lack of depth of flavor in the curry. It just felt underdeveloped. However, the portions are very generous and the price is right. read more

Well like every where else they have cut back on the meal sizes and no longer serve a pot of green tea for the table. I had the chicken lo mien. Not much chicken to speak of. Was super excited to try the new basil and ginger, but wasn't impressed. A very beautiful building with nice polite waitresses. My food came out wrong and I tried to eat it but didn't like so I asked for my original meal. Unfortunately the tempura shrimp was bland and soggy breading. I couldn't swallow it. Chicken lo mein was bland. The only thing I really enjoyed was the soups the offered. The price didn't speak for the food for me. The general tso chicken was also very good. read more

Disgusting practices from top to bottom, I have wondered about the cleanliness of the silverware a few times and now there is an inspection that says the dishwasher wasn't even hooked up to the detergent...disgusting. 2nd visit - we were over the moon after our first visit and hosted some friends to show off our new find. The ambiance and decor is wonderful and it's really a happy, special place. The problem was that everything was rushed - we ordered drinks and appetizers which came immediately - main was ordered and the soup arrived literally before we had the first bite of the appetizers. And yes, the main dish arrived 2 minutes later - so we had appetizers, soup and main in front of us! Check came before we even put the final fork down. Maybe that's whey the dishes didn't taste as good as the first time around? Hot and sour soup (which I loved) seemed different - maybe different cook? And what happened to the calamari appetizers? Highly recommend on line and amazing and perfect 1st visit - shareable portion, nice size bites and delicious. 2nd visit a few scattered small pieces with more dried chillies than meat and a big disappointment. Consistency is a must for any restaurant! Will go again but it's a long drive from Anchorage - still recommend but now with some reservations.... read more

Service was awful. Took the waitress about 10 min to come to the table. They do not have a liquor license. I stuck with water. Ordered the lettuce wrap, and crab Rangoon. Fake stringy crab, inside was like a watery mixture. The lettuce from the wrap had not been washed. I was wiping chunks of dirt and old lettuce soft at the bottoms. The chicken was lacking flavor. Solid soy sauce and uncooked peppers? My buddy ordered some sushi that he said would be easy to tell if it's homemade vs preordered. Something with the eggs. He's the sushi guru. At one point he couldn't figure out what was what...He was not impressed. All of our food came out sporadically. Our table was so full and no one was there to take things away. We were staking and trying to make room when dishes were brought out. Ambiance is nice. However the food is basic, wait staff is chaotic, and the kitchen ain't kitchen ing. Won't be back there for that. Save yourself the time. There are better restaurants in the valley for sure. read more

Came here for an early dinner with the family and were seated quickly. Our server was very friendly and helpful and service was quick. We ordered jiaozi dumplings, spider roll, sashimi dinner, and the panang curry dinner special. The food arrived promptly and was hot and good. The fish was fresh and melted in your mouth. The panang curry was really good and they let me swap the California roll for spicy tuna. I do wish the curry had some vegetables instead of just chicken and rice but it was still good. Great experience and they're so good with kids. read more

Went in Friday August 19,2025 at about 8:20P.M. They close at 9:00 P.M. Ordered eggrolls and General Tso. I am guessing they are cleaning up and wanting to be out the door by 8:59. I worked as a teenager in the early 1970's for Changs Egg rolls and we once a week made eggrolls on their then 20,000.00 egg roll machine with all ingredient premixed by us in large garbage cans and we layered pans with wax paper and light flour while grabbing finished rolls and putting them in rows for freezing so they could be sold at the two restaurants in Burien Washington and Federal Way Washington. What we were served as egg rolls were more like dried overcooked dog dung taken from a Wal Mart dumpster. The General Tso was undercooked and not very tasty. We paid and left the 3 servers a good tip but will never again go there. read more

Went back exactly 1 week later. Was back in Wasilla and couldn't get the hot and sour off my mind. Had to get a pint to go. Also got a pint of wonton soup which was not nearly as good. Their spring rolls are also out of this world. Crispy and big and tasty. Perfect for the ride back to Anchorage and had the soup on arrival. So good I just don't think I can bring myself to try any thing else in Wasilla when I'm there and hungry. read more

This place is busy and popular! Luckily, we only had to wait for a few minutes before we got our table. Service was super fast and we got all our food without much wait. Skip their Jiaozi Dumplings and go for their Wonton Soup - make it large. The broth was really flavorful and satisfying. The wontons in the soup were meaty and delicious. We also ordered the Basil Stir Fry Ka-Pao with Chicken which came with rice. The dish was quite aromatic because of the basil (which I love), chicken was perfectly cooked, and the heat was definitely there. Worth stopping by if you are in Wasilla - as a stopover on your drive between Anchorage and Denali/Fairbanks or enroute Matanuska glacier hike. read more

Happened to be in Wasilla around midday and got hungry. A friend mentioned this place and reviews looked good (thanks Yelpers!) so my kids and I dropped by for lunch. I think they got slammed right before we got there because it took a bit for someone to come take our order but the food came out like 3 minutes later and was so good my kids wanted to order more but also quickly realized that they were stuffed. You walk into a very friendly, clean place. Tables are nicely spaced out, and the staff was attentive. I like magaritas, they listed wine magaritas. So I asked the waitress which one she recommended, she liked watermelon. Our party had a few allergies; gluten and onions, and the staff was able to make recommendations that suited our needs. It was so welcoming to see wait staff knowing the menu and how to accommodate for changes. The price point was wonderful compared to the amount of food we received. For the lunch specials at $17, well worth it. Plate combos came out looking like pieces of art. No grease at all. Spices were totally on point, with fresh ingredients on every plate. Bathrooms were clean, and the atmosphere was impeccable. 5 stars for a wonderful experience. We will be back and recommend it to all. read more
