The tuna is okay but the rice is terrible and honestly ruins the entire bowl. I'm not sure how they are making their rice but it is not what I expect from a poke place. The rice seems dry and overcooked, it also isn't the sticky rice you usually get. I'm going to stick to the cooked food I grew to live from the food truck.

The chicken was tender but not super flavorful. The kalbi was just fine but nothing to write home about. It may be because I haven been eating quite a bit of Korean food lately. The kalbi I've had elsewhere is just better. I didn't get the macaroni salad because I didn't care for it when I've eaten here before. I actually prefer L&L macaroni salad. The portion size was good for the price though.

I happen to think that's a pretty smart way for a small business. It was about 2pm on a weekday when we walked in. There was a line of about 5 people; we stood in line for a few minutes and the line didn't budge. This gave us plenty of time to peruse the food in the display case. I didn't recognize any of it, which always excites me because it means it's an opportunity to experience something new. But sadly, the food looked unsafe to eat. All of the food was dry and crusty on top. I used to work in food service, and I know that it's crucial to continually stir food on a steam table to maintain safe food temperatures. As a result, we left without ordering because we really didn't want food poisoning. I regret that I'm unable to give a positive review for this unique eatery. Perhaps when the food safety people do an inspection, they can impart some guidance to the Samoan Kitchen owners. I'd like the opportunity to try some authentic Samoan food.
