Came here on a Friday night before Halloween, I think a lot of people were doing trunk or treat events, so it wasn't busy at all. It's a large space, and half the restaurant didn't have lights on, but it was fine. I ordered the chicken satay which came on a slice of bread, which I had never seen before. It was simple and tasted good. I also had the beef pho with thin sliced beef, and I added meatballs. I ordered the SMALL, it was a huge portion! Wish they had an even smaller portion. It was $18 which is a little higher than what I am accustomed to, but it is AK. I try to eat pho whenever I travel, just for comparison. This broth was a little on the sweet side for me, but that's just personal preference. read more

Family run Thai Restaurant in a strip mall along the Parks highway N of the congested area of Wasilla. Lots of parking available. This is not the first business in this space and much of the floor covering and the dining bar are from a previous tenant. It is clean, the staff are efficient and polite. I was having a late lunch about 2 PM on a Wednesday and the restaurant was not busy. But judging from what I observed I believe that they do a large takeout busy and are busy at meals times and the evening. They accept credit cards and would be excellent for families. Ten tables for four, 8 chairs for dining bar. They have daily specials. The menu has many Thai Curry dishes that you select the meat or fish additions. They also have a list of many PHO dishes to accompany the Thai dishes. As this is my first time eating here and as I always do I having my favorite soup dish. I have been enjoying this dish for more than 50 years. I believe if they can make this soup I can evaluate how they rate at least on this one dish. I usually find if they do this soup well their other dishes will be excellent also. Now to important evaluation of the soup. The soup arrived timely and steaming hot from the burner. A large bowl with the correct color of the broth and an aroma that promised an excellent broth. The broth was well seasoned but not too spicy for anyone that eats this spicy style soup. The flavor was excellent and among the best. I requested chicken and the bowl had a large amount of tender breast meat cut in 1" sized pieces. It was free of any skin, fat or trim. Cooked to perfection and flavored with the broth. The vegetables consisted of fresh sliced mushrooms, green onions, cherry tomatoes sliced in half, white onion slices and Thai basil. The soup was a meal in itself with out the rice. After eating a portion of the soup I added the rice and allowed it to soak up the broth but with plenty of broth remaining. The flavor and consistency of the soup was excellent and I will return to hav more. The Thai iced tea was lightly flavored with a slice of lemon and very good. PS: as an additional note in one of the pictures is a large red box with a photo of a young girl in bed. She is 15 and very ill with a serious medical condition. She has lost her father and her mother and friends are struggling to support her and the Med bills. They are politely asking for donations to help with her care. This is a family effort of the restaurant families. Please consider a donation when you stop by to eat. read more

Food is good but not always open during advertised hours. We came at 6pm on a Saturday recently to find it closed despite their posted hours being open until 8pm. Call ahead before driving all the way across Wasilla to make sure they are actually open. They need to be more consistent and update their advertised hours. Unacceptable. read more

Such good food! A little pricey but so worth it honestly. Definitely recommend their spring rolls and yellow curry. The servers make sure you get what you need and then your left to peacefully eat your meal. They occasionally come out just to check up. The Food is always fresh and excellant , the lady's here are always helpful and easy going , as many restaurants the prices are a bit uncomfortable some times , but the food is always worth the cost . What a grand Thai Food find in Wasilla, AK! The fresh food and most cordial service were fantastic. I enjoyed Tropical Fried Rice with generous amounts of fruit and cashews! Yellow, Massaman and Red Curry dishes were enjoyed by my hungry companions and I. For dessert, Mango with Sticky Rice was sweet, warm and absolutely yummy. Ya gotta go! Ya just gotta! This place is interesting. It is a huge space with much more open area that tables and chairs. The ceiling are super high, which makes the place even more expansive. There was a stage, where maybe they have live music?? When we went there was a TV set up with Gladiator (the movie) playing. It was television version with commercials and all. The food was super tasty and I didn't feel like they skimped on the meat in my Pho. Everything was fresh, hot, and well portioned. Service was friendly, but a little slow. There was also a little confusion with an appetizer we ordered. For whatever reason, I had to ask about it and she said that she never put that in. But she got it going and it came out just a little after our main courses arrived. If I'm in the middle for Pho in Wasilla (or a little outside of the city), this will likely be my first choice! read more

Ordered red curry with chicken, chicken panang, Thai hot n sour soup, and a Thai iced tea. The spice was medium and just right for me. It was just hot enough to bring out the flavor but not cause your nose to drip. The veggies and chicken in the curries were top notch. The soup was a pleasant surprise too. Their pho was yummy! There wasn't a lot of meat in my bowl but the broth was seasoned well. I asked for a bit more veggies and the owner brought out another dish of it. Score! I love their homemade fried garlic. It's crunchy and just simply heavenly. I stuffed my bowl with a huge spoon of it. I would put them on everything and eat them everyday if I can. I want to say first that my rating is solely on the food. The business is a family business and is very spacious inside. The "mom" is very nice and accommodating. I've eaten at many Thai restaurants and eaten many Thai dishes so this is review is based on what I've tasted in my lifetime. My boyfriend tried the Pho combo and the Beef Larb(made the Thai/Laotian way). The pho combo came with tendons, shrimp, and slices of meat. The broth had a very herby taste to it and the shrimp were good but the tendons did taste a bit old(like it was frozen and then thawed out). Most Thai and Vietnamese place I go to, I like to test out the larb in search of the best ones. The larb I had here was a bit of a disappointment on my end. Although it was still good to eat, it just didn't taste like larb. At least not what I'm used to eating. It was like stir fried ground beef and then tossed with some rice powder and lettuce. It had a lot of juice from the meat and oil which is something larb doesn't typically have. Would I eat here again? Maybe, but definitely trying something else. It's not a bad place to eat but I also understand it's located in an area where not many Asian people reside so in my opinion, the authentic taste doesn't really need to be there. read more

I've meant to write this review for months, because this is the best thai curry in the valley in my opinion. Never got around to writing a review because we only ever get takeout and I always eat the food before I remember to get a picture of it. We get takeout here just about weekly, and ended up dining inside for the first time yesterday so I finally got some good pics of the food. Their curry is SO. GOOD. The flavor, the spice level, the vegetables. Everything is perfect. It's the best curry I've ever had. Red, green, yellow, panang, and massaman. I've tried them all. Red and green are my favorites. The vegetables they use are local and so fresh. The most delicious green broccoli and snap peas and thai eggplant was in the green curry I got this time. They will sort of switch up their veggies depending on what they have on hand, but it's always amazing and so fresh. Their pad thai is very, very good too. Excellent flavor and noodles. I've also tried their vegetarian tofu pho but every time I've tried to order it in the past few months, they don't have it :/. Which brings me to my next point. The past couple of times I've ordered from them they are out of tofu. This time I decided to just get shrimp but the other time I said never mind and went somewhere else because I really really wanted tofu. Pho Lucky still gets 5 stars from me because I love it so much but they really need to buy more tofu if they're running out of it on a regular basis :/ I love their fried tofu, it goes perfect with the curry. It was good with shrimp too, but I like it better with tofu (pad thai on the other hand is better with shrimp). So PLEASE Pho Lucky, keep more tofu on hand! I will continue to be a loyal customer, but may start choosing elsewhere if you're out of tofu every time. Their spring rolls are good too and I like the tangier sauce. Yum! This place just opened about a month ago and I finally tried it. Can't wait to go back! I had the Pho with chicken. It was served quickly and was so delicious! The "small" was still a huge serving and I couldn't even finish it. They served a plate with bean sprouts, lime, basil, and jalapenos with it. Food is very good, can't complain about it. I've been to many Pho restaurants from Tx, NY, Minn, Ohio, NC and other states. Sea food was cooked to perfection. I understand it's a family restaurant, but having kids running around screaming and bumping into you and your table is not that pleasing. Service was a bit slow to come to our table for our order and order wasn't taken completely proper. Asked for brown rice and was served white instead and had to wait for brown rice to be made and it came halfway through our meal. A worker had family come in 10+ mins after we did and asked for his order about 5 mins after showing up and was waited on quickly and food even made and served to him before our order was even done. We ordered Spicy fried rice without eggs and mushrooms. It was so delicious. The spice level was perfect and also the veggies used (green peas, onions and bell peppers) were so fresh and crunchy. No variation in side sauce. The Pho came with NO sauces. Anyone who orders pho knows the sauces are where it's at. I specifically requested extra chili sauce for the pho. None was given.
