Thought I would give it another chance since it a been a while. This time it was just the 2 piece meal. Mac & Cheese had some dark yellowed dry areas, the chicken, which was original, was dark and tasted burnt and the biscuit had a hard dry edge. I am very dissatisfied with Kentucky fried chicken in Wasilla. I have lived here in Alaska for over 40 years and it's a continuous issue with getting the wrong orders. Not only that they make it literally next to impossible for the customer to open up the bag to verify that the order is correct. I am 72 year-old woman and I do not have the strength in my hands to open those bags when I pick up my order to make sure that it's correct. The times that I haven't checked it. I always find errors. I also am not happy with the fact that we is Alaskans, do not get access to the specials that Kentucky fried chicken runs. So therefore I am no longer purchasing anything from Kentucky fried chicken again until things change. read more

This is a pretty good KFC. Got a huge box to share with my kiddo and the popcorn chicken was really good it was freshly made and crispy but the chicken was tender. Most locations overcook them and they're tough and chewy. This one made them perfectly. The box contained a lot of food .I usually don't frequent chain restaurants that often but this one is doing a great job! It's connected to an A&W. read more

KFC - Fast Food Near Me - Wasilla, Alaska

Hooolllleeeeee crap, this place sucks. Expensive, and they can't seem to get orders right. Plus, half the chicken had raw, uncooked batter on it. I could peel off the outer fried crust, and underneath it in some areas was easily a half inch of raw batter. Tried the "Honey BBQ Wings"....and of course they're medium hot wings, half coated with hot sauce. There's something wrong with the coleslaw too, something rancid going on. Has a fishy taste? That got tossed out too. The crew there doesn't seem to really give a crap as to what goes in the bag at the order window, they just throw stuff in and send it out. On the plus side, you get condiments that you didn't order or have any use for. If you do go, I'd highly recommend sitting at the window and checking out your order by hand before driving off, unless you want to park and take it back in. We've gone about every half year or so, just to give them a chance to fix the issues, but this is the third time that they've done exactly the same thing...and yes, that's partially my screw up. But it's not happening again, this is my one and only review for this KFC in Wasilla - they suck, hard. Horrible food, potentially a health issue, expensive and they don't seem to care enough to change their methods. I do see that they're currently running some kind of marketing deal where you can buy some croc shoes with the KFC logo or something - you might want to buy those instead of any of their food, the crocs will be more edible. Especially after wearing them a while and developing some nice funk. Stay away from this place, they deserve to go out of business. read more

Imagine, it's 2:45, hungry, just returned from Palmer DMV and wondering where to stop to eat. I decided on KFC. Got through the drive through, drove to the Wasilla Lake Park to sit and eat. I open my $8.50 box of dark meat meal, and there sits the thigh and drumstick of a pigeon. Yeah...just what I wanted. I was upset, I drove back, carrying my box and drink inside intending to return it. The person at the counter actually didn't understand what my problem was. She said they are small, but it looks regular for what they are putting out. She offered me another piece, I really wanted my money back, but I could see this was the best offer I was going to get. Now I know why I haven't been to KFC since before it was called FRIED chicken. Its been 2 decades since I graced 1 of these fast food crack houses. OMG - from the second we pulled in everything went wrong: You don't have your grilled chicken salad anymore? No grilled chicken wraps? OK, yes, fine, we'll have the grilled chicken sandwich - times 2. Pull up to the window, we were promptly informed they only had 1 chicken available (WTH?!) and a 2nd would take 5 minutes ?!?! O com'on! We're in a hurry here! We start to ask what are their hamburgers like? (I mean, it's a chicken place, right?) So the girl at the window doesn't want to deal with us, closes the window, walks away ! A guy comes and says the burgers are great - UGH - fine, gimme 1. We get our cardboard boxes, open them up, both sandwiches had been thrown together, everything was falling off, buns were cold, meat was medium warm - UGH again. groan. For fast food this is the worst place to go didn't even ask what sides I wanted they were in a big hurry to get me through the line when I asked if that was everything the guy seemed like really your asking me that type of attitude so I pulled out of line to check and I was missing stuff so I go back and go inside and when I show them my receipt and show I was missing things a guy in the back said three times I know she got it but whatever just give her this I get people get frustrated but say it to where I can't hear it we will not be back to this location. read more

The Original chicken was awful. The mashed potatoes were a terrible rendition of instant, gravy tasted like a watered down package product. Our pieces of chicken were over cooked and tasteless, not the flavorful KFC I've eaten in other places. The young lady at the counter (brunette with glasses) was almost to the point of being rude, acted like she was being bothered when asked a question regarding the meals. Went thru the drive thru in Wasilla. Ordered a 3 piece dark meat "snack". To me this is 3 pieces of chicken and a biscuit. I was charged $9.15 ( .18 tax) and did not even get the biscuit. It looks like I was charged a la cart prices- 2.99 a piece. Every time I go there, I'm charged a different price. Think I'm done with KFC. I'll go somewhere else. read more

We eat here probably three times a month and have had the same problem each time. The biscuits are not cooked through. We have talked to a couple of different managers and they say they cook them at x temperature for x minutes. I don't doubt them but do ya think that the oven temperature should be checked? read more
