Papa Johns Pizza - New lobby - Pizza Near Me - Wasilla, Alaska

We stopped by one evening when we were in Wasilla running errands. Foot traffic seemed a bit busy but I figured we would try anyway. Got a "deal" on a large and it was ready in 15 minutes as promised. However, after we drove away I looked in the box and then at the tag on the box. The tag was correct for our pizza order, but the pizza was a supreme. It was very tasty, but had to pick some of the ingredients off. As far as the other Papa John's I've had pizza from (South Carolina & West Virginia) it was up to par w/what I expected. Will probably pick up pizza there again when we are in Wasilla and it's dinner time. read more

Ordered through door dash. Hate that I can't leave reviews through there but anyways the pizza arrived cold and one pizza had pepperoni hidden under the cheese that we did not order. Ordered online so there wouldn't be any issues, but it was messed up like a soup sandwich when it arrived. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because we live up the fishhook. It took an hour and twenty five minutes for our order to show up no big deal it happens. But it would be super if all of our order was included, I mean it was only five items that didn't make it. Ordered an Extra Large Original Crust John's Favorite Pepperoni, Sausage, for delivery. Received it promptly, driver was professional, pizza was hot and as ordered. Disappointed with pizza though. They appear to use breakfast sausage as their sausage topping. Which while technically is sausage, it is not what I thought it would be. Sauce was not to my liking. No extra value noted. This is my favorite pizza. I really like "The ""Works". I've had really fast, great service. This is the only pizza place I will order from.

The pizza is always fresh and tasty. The delivery staff are friendly and professional. The delivery time is usually between 30-60 minutes. I use the iPhone app to place my order and it's extremely fast and easy to use! Our current pizza of choice is Hawaiian BBQ chicken; a blend of sweet and salty with bacon, chicken, onions, BBQ sauce and cheese. And it's at a reasonable price. read more

I went in and ordered my pizza , paid for it and when he (Joe) gave me the recept to sign , he said , you can add your tip there. I said why should I add a tip? I walked in." He said "they" meaning the company tell me to say that" I don't think so!!. Regardless I left a tip because you never know what they will do i.e.,, spit on your food etc...he looked unkept and I felt sorry for him. Papa John's just opened 2 weeks ago in Wasilla. It's located near the Pet Zoo, just past Fred Meyer. I ordered on the web from work for pick up 2 hours later. It worked well as the pizza was hot and ready when I stopped to pick it up (on a busy Friday after work). What didn't work is that I paid extra for their garlic sauce and found out afterwards this store offers it free. So they got me. Oh well. Cashiers were friendly but definately "newbies". The pizza was good, the whole family liked it. We got the "standard" pepperoni and a Hawaiian. The two large pizzas came to $30 with tax. Not such a hot deal in the pizza world. You can drag home some "better deals" from Anchorage but they are lukewarm by the time you get to the valley. So all in all, Papa John's probably will get our business again as we watch for their two pizza specials. read more

the wife and I have ordered from Papa John's a few dozen times. Do note though we don't just ordered a regular pizza we tend to make a custom pizza through there web order and the buffalo was an amazing pizza. We have found that if you pick up the pizza and drive fast back home it is always worth the extra pricey pizza. Compare it to sicily's and you'll only get papa john's every time you want pizza. read more

My family tried to order from Papa John's in Wasilla. After being put on hold for over 5 minutes on my first attempt to order, I hung up, waited a few minutes, then called backed. When a real person finally answered, she asked to put me on hold again. I said, "No, I waited on hold for over 5 minutes last time. Are you that busy?" She said, "Yes we are." Placed a $100 order online called the restaurant at 4:12 p.m. as soon as the order was placed. I told the young lady that the order was for delivery not carry out because we had a moving crew here. She said not to worry because she was our carrier. Two hours later and no pizza, called them, another young lady said oh your order is for carry out. After explaining to her she said I would need to talk to their manager. Instead of taking care of the problem or asking the carrier who answered the phone at 4:12 what was going he acted like he didn't give a damn about our large order! A large pizza is only a 14" pizza. If you want a big pizza you have to get the 16". Ingredients were skimpy. I was very dissapointed and won't order again. For a good pizza, I am learning to stay away from the chains. Just down the road only 2.5 miles on Knik Goose Bay Rd just before Edlund is a place that makes pizza and ribs. The pizzas are piled high with fresh vegys & quality meats. Instead of feeding 2 people with a 14", you can feed three. The 16" feeds 4 to 5. It's not all crust either. We actually spend less in the long run & it's a real meal. read more

I order from the Wasilla Papa Johns alot, at lease once a month. Their delivery is awsome, I have timed it down to an art that if I call in my order around Mirror Lake on my way back from Anchorage, they will be 10 mins from delivering when I get home! Service is good, although they do have some young kids working the counter that get a bit rowdy. All in all, I love their pizza, its always hot, and taste great! Would never consider pizza hut again. And yes, love the buy one get one free tuesdays. But if you order online, the buy 2 for 1 doesn't work. I call in. read more
