If the salt was removed the food would have been fine. After letting our staff know about the saltiness, they comped our dishes. The food was really tasty. My husband was a little upset that there wasn't a larger serving of pad thai but we had a large serving of friend rice (our kids loved this along with the pad thai that they shared) and the Mongolian beef was perfectly seasoned. We also had a California roll and the spring rolls. Everything was fresh and cooked well. The wait staff was very nice and gave our younger two, cups with lids (if you have young ones you know this is a must). We were left alone to eat and when we needed refills and service they were attentive and came quickly. Lastly, the restaurant was well decorated and clean. The decor was tasteful and went well displaying the culture of the delectable cuisine. Only downfall to this place is the price but I can't really be upset when everyplace you go is pricy. This place reminded me of a P.F. Chang's back in Florida, except it was way better than Changs and cheaper. The decor is wonderful. Bright, tasteful, and best of all, clean. The service is professional and friendly. I think they have a person whose only job is to walk around and fill water glasses. My water glass never dropped below half way and it was small! It's also helpful considering there is some spice to the dishes. The menu is better than Changs because it has sushi and Thai dishes. Furthermore, there is a section with 20 dollar meals that blend dishes together. For instance, I ordered panang curry and also received a California sushi roll as well. It was perfect for someone like me who can never decide between sushi (which never seems to fill me up) and another dish. My better half was super happy with her meal and we both agreed that the green and red peppers in the lettuce wrap appetizer was cooked perfectly. The lettuce was crisp and freshly washed. This place is a winner! My only complaint is that the food came out so quickly after the appetizer. I would have like a little longer to enjoy my soup and appetizer. We drove out to the valley from Anchorage for a friends going away dinner - holy cow this place is delicious! I ordered the sesame chicken which came with 4 California rolls. We also ordered chicken fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. Out of those - the sesame chicken was the best. I read a lot of the reviews before coming here and disagree - the sauce was perfect on my plate! I might recommend the veggie fried rice to anyone - ours had so so much chicken in the chicken fried rice - which normally wouldn't be a bad thing - but we both had chicken dishes so it was a lot! Split a bottle of wine with one of my girlfriends - way more cost effective than ordering two glasses of wine. Service was 100%. Fancy glasses and plates Definitely worth the drive from Anchorage. Had lunch with a friend recently. We found the staff to be very sweet and courteous. The food looked amazing and arrived quickly. Loved the variety of the lunch menu. The food tasted as good as it looked. I could of done without the nearby screaming baby. That really hurt my ears and prevented me from conversing with my friend. I don't know how many times I've even here but it's probably the most visited place for my family. The food is always fantastic and what has made it even better is our waitress Cassie. She was so on top of everything and I look forward to going back knowing I'll get wonderful food and wonderful service. Picked up carry out here for dinner. It was ok, but there were a few things I was not impressed with. The spring rolls were relatively heavy and crunchy,they seemed, more like a Chinese style egg roll than a spring roll I have generally had at thai restaurants. I got the green curry and it seemed to lack character and flavor. It did have thai basil in it, and some coconut flavor, but the veggies seemed a bit nontraditional. Visited 9/13/22 The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We had two girls tag teaming our table for drinks and our order, so we had to make sure to tell them one or the other already came. We ordered: Monkey Brain Sasikan Roll Ka-Nok-Karn Roll Lava Roll Spicy Tuna Roll The monkey brain was basically the huge avocado pieces and a little bit of crab. Not sure where the spicy tuna was. There was very little fried batter around the avocado. Sasikan roll was great, aside from the rice paper. Very chewy and took away from the sushi texture. Ka-nok-karn roll the crab... I can't put my finger on it, but the taste wasn't what you'd expect from crab. Lava roll- the cheese was like a piece of processed cheese from a slim Jim combo pouch. Spicy tuna is what you'd expect from spicy tuna. We both left sushi pieces on our plates, which is rare for us. It wasn't terrible and we may be back to try different items. Add more nonspicy tuna and salmon options to the sushi menu and I'd for sure be back. read more

What a lovely find --better Chinese/Asian food then we have back in the lower 48. The service was efficient, our food came out piping hot quick quicker than we expected, and it was exceptionally tasty. It was also amazingly low priced. This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Wasilla. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can't wait to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Wasilla. When we think about celebrations, Basil Ginger is always our first option and it never disappoints. We were attempting to go to Tok Thai in Glenallen, but realises it would be closed by the time we got there. Well, to be honest, I wanted to go for Massaman, but the place i found was closing in 8 minutes so we came here on a whim. It's a nice new building, the decor is lovely, not too over the top, not loads of kitschy stuff on the walls - very classy and sophisticated. Even the menus are fancy. There's a sushi bar area, and a dining room. The dining room tables are set beautifully, with the linen napkin enclosing the chopsticks and silverware nicely. I'm fond of linen napkins. They seemed to have a variety of Asian foods - no Massaman though. Thai, pho, sushi, Chinese etc. The usual favourites. I was drawn to the Miso soup, which i love, and decided to go with the Asian Chicken Salad in peanut lime dressing and husband got the Basil Stir Fry. My cup of Miso was perfect, warming and comforting. Nice chunks of tofu, spring onion, and seaweed. The perfect temperature too. My Asian Chicken Salad was huge, and the dressing, delicious. Unusual, but I'm definitely a fan, I'd have it again. It was colourful with red cabbage, and red bell pepper mixed in with the greens. My sole criticism was the chicken. It's one of the 2 reasons I didn't give this 5 stars. The chicken had it's skin on, and it was a little fatty for my taste. Also, the end pieces had a weird flavour, almost cheesy, and were a little overcooked, and I left quite a bit of the meat. I like my chicken breast to be uncovered, moist, juicy, and never overcooked. I'm quite picky about that. Husband loved his Basil Stir Fry, and I tasted it, (i liked his chicken better than mine) and he ate the rest of my chicken too. But on the whole, the dishes were flavourful, beautifully presented on fancy white flatware, and the service was very good. The bathrooms are also new, and very clean. My 2nd reason for 4 stars instead of 5 - the cost. It's a little spendy. But i would definitely go back again. read more

Overall it was extremely overpriced- we spent a bit over $100 on overly fishy lukewarm raw pieces that didn't taste fresh. The salmon was pretty good but I've had better, the yellowtail seemed a little off, the tuna was a no. We left still hungry and not wanting to spend more money. The owner now will not leave me alone to "make things right" by offering a $25 gift card, falsely stating that I said "only two pieces of fish tasted bad", and then changed his statement to "you said none of the food was bad, you only said prices". read more

If you are looking for good Thai food, this place has good food. We ordered vegetarian dishes. All were very good. However, I removed three stars for very poor service. It was super rushed, and couple of times they came across as very disrespectful. The waitress who took our order, was very polite, pleasant and very helpful. However, there were two other waitresses, in particular, who came across as very disrespectful and uncourteous. They would bring food and just drop on the table as hurriedly as they could, even without making eye contact or telling what dish have they brought to the table. She would not pause even to take requests. While we are asking for red chilli paste and peanut sauce, she was walking away super fast from table rolling her eyes, and mumbling something to her colleague. It appeared we were chasing her to put in our food requests. While walking out, I was looking for the door, and by mistake walked into the bar area. Again, these two waitresses rolled their eyes disrespectfully, instead of politely showing the way out. While the food was good, we felt very unwelcome. Definitely do not recommend if you are looking to have a pleasant dining. Message to the restaurant: just furniture and ambiance does not make a good restaurant or fine dining experience. In hospitality industry it is service and warmth you surround your guests with along with good food that makes a dining experience pleasant for the guest. Your waitresses have too much attitude and uncourteous demeanor that renders them unfit for hospitality industry. read more

Every time I go here, this is maybe my 4th time since it opened, I always go anticipating that it's going to be better. But sadly, it always misses the mark. I've never had their sushi but other dishes. I've never cared for any I've had, yes, it tasted OK but not near as good as many much cheaper, hole in the wall places I've been. It's highly over rated. The service, well, the gal came back one time to fill our glasses, that's it. No, "how's everything, is there anything else I can get you after a few minutes of delivering food. So I give it 3 stars for service also. I guess the high prices is for the ambiance, I'll give it 4 stars for that, as the rest does not warrant it. I always go away from this place feeling a bit ripped off. On top of that, they put an automatic service charge of 18% on your bill for a party of 6. Maybe that's normal but most places don't. It's insulting, especially since the service is 3 stars, and that is being gracious. They also charged extra for a t-spoon of crumbles on one of the sushi dishes. This should be an option, not an extra charge. I need to quit beating a dead horse. It won't be any different next time. read more
