We had a delicious lunch today. The papaya appetizer salad was fresh and had a lot of grilled shrimp. My husband and daughter loved their pho and I had a vermicelli bowl. Everything we ate was excellent and service was great. Daughter loved her Thai tea, said it was the best she'd had. Stopped by on a cold cloudy day, perfect weather for pho. Hubby and I ordered the pho dac biet, broth was clean and flavorful! All the ingredients were super fresh and we were both so impressed. The flanks and briskets were all so tender and had so much flavor as well. Service was also better than expected from a pho place. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated. The food also arrived shortly after we placed our order. Staff were very pleasant so that's always a bonus too! Definitely recommend if you're in the Frederick area! read more

First time customer calling in to order some Vietnamese subs. Over the phone, I asked if there was any special for large order of subs. There was but I wasn't looking to ordered that many. But it's nice to know. The lady was very nice and she even gave my order. Along with the order she hand me a thai drink that I didn't ordered. Very nice gesture and will return to order other food on the menu. I don't live in the area but I do go up that way for my daughter team practice using the softball field at the community college near by. My husband and I have been lamenting for authentic pho since moving to Frederick from Rockville and decided to try out this place. We were happily satisfied at the choices offered and the friendliness of the staff when placing the order! We had 3 orders of pho, their fried spring rolls and cold cut banhmi. The pho was excellent, the broth was clean and fragrant and the portion sizes were great! The banhmi was AMAZING! I have been searching for a good place to get banhmi comparable to the shops in VA and this hit the spot perfectly! Plenty of meat inside, with vietnamese mayo and pate. SO YUM. I had tried a few, and was let down. Well on my "sad girl" day, I decided to give this place a try. I was not disappointed! I inhaled that bowl of soup. Best broth I've had in awhile and they didn't short me on meat. I have been back several times, and not once have I been disappointed. I recommend getting extra noodles....trust me. Try this place! I visited for the first time today and I was blown away by everything! The meat was cooked so well and all the flavors were incredible. I had the chicken bahn mi (which was twice the size I had expected), vermicelli combination (also huge), Thai tea, and a Papaya Pearl Tea; all of which were amazing! Delicious and authentic Vietnamese food. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Banh Mi are my favorite. I used to have to travel a bit to get authentic banh mi until I found Pho An Loi. The Pho is also excellent and so are the rice dishes. I have loved everything I have tried in the menu. read more

A very good choice for Vietnamese food in the area. PLUSES: They have some dishes that the other places don't (Quail), very clean and the taste of the dishes we had was very good. I don't crave many things, but this place is an exception. The pho broth has so much flavor, wow. Even our young kids slurp it up. We usually only get pho, but we have also tried the pork Bahn Mis and lemongrass pork. All very good. Prices are also decent. So glad they are local. If you like pho, you will love this place. I used to frequent this place years ago when it first opened and stopped after I moved away. I forgot about it until I stumbled upon it again while searching for an authentic Vietnamese restaurant that wasn't watered down. I tried the bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup) and it had all the correct elements. If you like spicy, this soup is for you. The meat portion was generous and the pork hock was a nice size. My husband had the pho and it too was a generous serving. There were no complaints from him and he's as picky as they get. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and Covid-19 precautions were in place. My husband decided to go back again a few days later for carry out and ordered the banh mi. I did not have high expectations since I have yet to find a decent banh mi in this area. I was pleasantly surprised when he brought it home. Although it's best to eat it while the bread is warm, it was still very good! There was plenty of meat in it and it actually tasted the way a banh mi should. I will be making the extra trip down to Frederick more often now so I can try the other offerings. read more
