Wonderful ambience with the lighting, greenery, and music! Do not judge from the outside. This place is decorated so beautifully on the inside and is well lit with tall ceilings too. But, more importantly, the food is delicious with an artsy presentation. Quite an expensive menu with 1.5 pages of appetizers, salads, pho, vermicelli (hot or cold), etc. The service was also excellent. Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

I went back recently to this restaurant and while the vibes are still IMMACULATE, I've changed my mind about the pho. I ordered what has become my norm at pho restaurant. Rare eyeround steak pho but with Bun Bo Hue broth instead of beef broth. The pho was good but something was missing. If I'm in the area I'll still stop and get some pho, it's just not my favorite anymore. 6/10 That being said. THE GRILLED PORK SPRING ROLLS!!!! 12/10 truly and honestly I would go out of my way just for the spring rolls. I LOVE IT HERE! The pho broth is my favorite thing. The flavors are amazing. My boyfriend and I usually always get the same server and he already knows us ! The restaurant is also always very clean and the tables have lots of space. Their drinks and appetizers are also very good. Our favorite app to get is the wings. Be mindful, parking is also a school bus stop. Dining area is wonderfully decorated and clean. Bar seating available. Service was great! No dessert on a Wednesday. Midweek I guess. Unfortunately, I can't say I have raves for the pho, rice plate or banh mi as others have.The flavor of all three dishes missed the mark by far. Beef Pho broth was herbs and water. The pork rice plate and chicken banh mi were both very dry. There was no way I was going to be able to get the lychee jelly to pass through the straw. (Not sure how I was supposed to enjoy them). Pho 97 has been the talk of the town for its stone pot pho and unusual upscale ambiance and decor. We stopped by for lunch a while back and the place was pretty much empty. We were seated in a timely manner and the service was good. I ordered the banh canh, but then I was told it would take 30 minutes so I opted for bun bo hue instead. We started with the goi cuon thit nuong and it was okay. I prefer spring rolls to have lots of fresh herbs and pickled carrots and daikon, but these were too bare for me. I enjoyed the bun bo hue, but the noodles were a little hard and undercooked. I loved the type of cha Pho 97 uses for their BBH, because lots of places use the plain one without any peppercorn. The stone pot pho AKA the pho 97 house special is interesting because the fixings come separate from the broth. Unfortunately they filled the broth almost to the brim so it didn't give much room to put anything in the bowl. My dad's pho order was also messed up because he ordered extra noodles, but instead they charged us for extra meat so he had to ask for extra noodles again later on. Everything was decent, but it is a bit pricey here for a pho/ bbh craving. My complaints are the accuracy, value, and undercooked bbh noods. I would probably come back if I'm meeting someone in the area, but not to satisfy any random viet food cravings. read more

I went during late lunch and wasn't aware that they were closing in 30 minutes. The restaurant's decor is really cute! They have a lot of space. The only thing I didn't care for was the music playing with explicit lyrics. At first it was nice R&B but then I started hearing Drake and others and NOT the radio version. Since I was on a time crunch I decided to order the Vietnamese wings and a melon candy drink. Both were good! I ordered shrimp fried rice to go. The rice was kind of mushy to me. I've had better. My partner and myself were ecstatic to try this new pho place out we heard opened up! Immediately upon entering we witnessed a nice ambient and beautiful décor inside. This place seem like a very casual and chill spot for get togethers for any event. Vietnamese Coffee- not much to say here was pretty solid, tasted sweeter and weaker then im use to, wished there was more coffee and less condensed milk but overall I was satisfied with it. Limeade- was very bland but was refreshing Pho Dac Biet- Honestly this pho broth had me thinking it was pretty bland, I rarely ever say this for any pho place I been to in baton rouge but this pho had me putting much more sriracha and other condiments in it to give it more flavor. Pho 97- This was very similar to my pho but for a heightened price of 20$!? The server said it was very similar to the regular but with a experience. With that you get your broth in a hot stone bowl that keeps your broth boiling. This reminds me of shabu shabu experience but with pho, you essentially put all your raw meat into the how bowl to cook everything which looks cool and makes great pictures but the overall value of it is not worth. It did consist of more meat then the regular pho but I am not sure it is worth the steep price point. Overall the food was okay, would I be back? Hard to say I would just cause there are better place in baton rouge that make pho for cheaper as well. Also the service was mediocre, our server didn't seem to attentive, seem like a group of friends who are working together which is fine but I found it challenging at times when we needed sugar packs or needed a refill to get our waitress attention despite it being fairly slow. read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. I'm happy it's open on Sundays because pho on Sundays is a tradition! We got the lemon beef salad, it's so good if you haven't tried eating that with your pho. The pho broth was pretty good, I don't usually add things except the herbs and the lime. I really enjoyed it and would say it's one of the better pho places in Baton Rouge. Our nuoc mam came in a cute little heart dipping bowl, just thought that was a cute little touch. They have two neon signs if you want to take photos, very cute as well! They also had funny alcoholic drinks that I'd like to come back and try. When you walk in, it's almost like an IG dream!! The aesthetic is perfect! The servers are in relaxed gear (sweatpants/joggers) and everyone is super friendly! The music is a WHOLE VIBE!! And that's where the pleasantries end. The prices are a little on the high side for Vietnamese fair. They DO NOT have wine or beer. They have cocktails that are as much as an entree! We ordered several things to give this place a fair shot. My husbands grilled chicken plate was pretty fair. The dipping sauce that came with the dish was very plain and so was everything else on the dish, however, it was presented beautifully. I got a pretty "ethnic" noodle dish that was very lackluster. It was missing a few elements, but I figured it was to cater to the "demographic" that would often frequent this place. But then I started to realize that the overall taste of everything was to appeal to a demographic that isn't used to these flavors. So in order to please whom you think are the "masses" you're on the right track, your food is good enough to not spit out, but would be shamed at an Asian family gathering. The atmosphere is amazing and the people are great, but what's missing from the equation is food that makes you say "I'm going to come back and eat this again"......especially for the price. There are a handful of Vietnamese restaurants in Baton rouge and I was excited to try this place. My first experience was okay. Bbq pork spring rolls were good, taste exactly how it sounds and the sauce was delicious. I got a club soda with lemon as that's what I usually get everywhere else and waited for quite a while for the drink to be out (10-15min). There was no sugar in the drink and I watched from the corner of my eyes seemed like the girl was chatting with friends and struggling to make it. I was very disappointed as the drink was also quite expensive (around $6!?) and didn't have sugar. It's a very simple drink I don't know how you can mess it up... I also got Pho 95 as I was told that was their specialty pho. It comes out in a hot stone bowl with a variety of meat, veggies, and noodle on the side. Very cool presentation and very photo worthy but the flavor was very bland. The hot stone bowl did not quite keep the broth hot long enough to cook the meat after a while. I would say the best thing about this place was the ambiance of the restaurant. It would be a great date night place. As for food, it was mediocre and I was left disappointed. Order to go for breakfast since they open at a good time of 10:30 am. One of the few that open earlier than 11 to serve food. The ambiance and vibe of pho 97 is very well done and felt very modern with its upbeat music while I waited for my order. The waiting took a little bit longer than expected hence one star knocked down. The food is good, i ordered the bbq pork spring roll, with a pho 97, and a pho with meatball. The broths of the pho was delicious and reminded me of what I use to eat at home. The pho 97 came with plenty of meats brisket, flank slices, meatball, cartilage, and oxtail. My SO had the pho with meatball, prefers her meatball with less cartilage in them. Ate the spring roll as a snack later in the day since I was full from the pho. The spring roll had very well seasoned pork. If it's the same meat for the vermicelli dish, I wouldn't mind giving that a try next. Overall, food is good, I will give the place another whirl. Run here!! This is hands down the best Vietnamese food in town. We started out with the egg roll appetizer - wow - we couldn't stop eating them. They were delicious and perfect in size. Definitely a great portion. We also got an off menu item of fried chicken pieces. Imagine the best bone-in fried chicken you've ever had but boneless and you've hit the jackpot! Could split between 4-6 people. We both ended up getting the Beef and Flank Pho. Y'all. The broth is AMAZING. If they aren't taking 24 hours to cook, wow!!! I can't believe this part of Baton Rouge has gotten such a lovely date night spot! The interior is modern and relaxing with great decor. Our server Irei was wonderful and checked in on us multiple times. I had the house special pho which comes out in a huge stone bowl that keeps the broth very hot and you dip your ingredients in. The broth was very flavorful- the right amount of beef flavor and toasted spices. It is a bit pricy at $19 but I had enough for a second meal the next day. Che is one of my favorite desserts- it's a coconut milk dessert with yummy toppings like sweet red bean and pandan jelly (pandan is like an Asian vanilla-coconut flavor) that's not too sweet. I just wish the ice pieces on top were more finely shaved instead of the large chunks put on top- but that may be personal preference. This might be one of the cutest little places in town. I love the little neon signs signs and the "greenery." I'm not sure if the ceiling lights that are draped on/over the ceiling are there for the holidays or if they are always up, but I love the Christmas tree in the center of the restaurant. As I read somewhere, it's definitely an Instagram-pic-worthy restaurant. The service was good. Our server was reserved and polite but attentive. The food was REALLY good. I went with a friend and we shared the garlic edamame. If you like garlic and if you like edamame, this is it. If you don't like garlic, you will want to steer clear of this. It had a slight kick but not too much for me and I'm sensitive to too much spice. We also shared the wings and they might be some of the best fried wings I've had, maybe ever. I would get them again, maybe every time. For the entree, I got the lemongrass chicken vermicelli. It was fresh and I really enjoyed all of the flavors of basil and lemongrass and peanuts. I came here for my friend's birthday I customized my own bowl and got shrimp, flank, and very rubbery tripe. the shrimp was very good; the flank was good. Well seems like rumor has it that they are selling the business part but keeping the building for something else. Might as well since my only good memory was taking in all the fabulous decor that was IG worthy. The food not so much and they were always out of food items or drinks. It also took over an hour to get my banh mi and they didn't even apologize until I had to ask for the manager and even then they still acted as if they didn't do anything wrong. This is the 3rd time to ever eat Vietnamese cuisine, but the first time here. We know what we liked at the other establishment so we ordered similar dishes to compare and were not disappointed. We ordered the BBQ Pork Roll; this is bbq pork and rice rolled in a lettuce wrap (?, maybe?) with peanut sauce. Very good. Then, we had the Pho rare steak & flank, awesome. I was wanting to put everything in my Pho because of the broth. Lastly, we ordered the egg roll & BBQ Pork Vermicelli. Again, very pleasing to the taste buds. My only problem with this cuisine is it flings a lusting on my taste buds, I'll be dreaming about it for days and there is no Vietnamese restaurants close by.
