    Seafood Pho with Spicy Saté
    Sean G.

My roommate and I always order pho to go from this restaurant. The chef must have a turbo charger in their kitchen because the food is ready in 10 minutes every time. The pho here is everything you'd hope for in the renowned Vietnamese soup. It has that "it" factor. The broth is full of delicious spices and more and I have yet to order a bull of pho from here where I do not tilt the bowl to my mouth and drink the remaining broth like it's ice cold water on a scorching hot day. The Seafood Pho is delicious and a bit of a departure from my typical order of their Sliced Beef Pho. The combo of shrimp, squid, imitation crab and shrimp meatballs is delicious and not one of those proteins tastes too fishy. The spicy saté option on this bowl adds chili oil and flakes mixed in to add some heat to the dish. The inside is what you'd expect from a hole in the wall, strip mall restaurant. Don't let that dissuade you from stopping by or getting takeout. The food here is A1 quality.

    Grilled Short Rib Rice Platter

The sesame chicken was chewy and had tons of breading, very little meat. Low quality chicken is noticeable lol. The sauce itself was good, very sticky. The fried rice was below average. The egg roll was okay. The short ribs were a bit tough but the seasoning was good. Was clearly higher quality meat which I appreciated. It cost extra for fish sauce on the side but chili oil was free. The white rice was nice, good with the sweet pickled veggies and the fish sauce. There was a service fee for ordering online and an additional convenience fee for using a card of any kind. If a business is trying to avoid taxes via money payment, I support it but the card surcharges always raise an eyebrow. Would I come here again? Probably not. It completely outranks new dragon though so if you have a craving and can't go beyond Shakopee, here is passable. Spent a little under 30 for both meals in January of 2025. Order pick up was a breeze.

A regular here, the food and service is top tier! The workers are like family, Kenny is usually my guests and I's server and knows our order from heart we don't even need menus. Always a great experience every time I stop in. The restaurant is always clean and tidy. We get our food very quick and the portions are perfect. I usually order the 02 phō with the Vietnamese egg rolls and Thai tea. Would 10/10 recommend stopping by here if you're in the area!

Chicken Phad Tai, Shrimp Phó, sesame shrimp.

Saturday lunch spectacular. The Pho83 luncheon menu is M-F, so ordered from the main menu, and it was delish! My order: Shrimp Phó. Lovely bride had chicken phad Thai. Ordered some sesame shrimp to go for tomorrow. Flavors were delicious. Hearty portions. Not too spicy - I should have dropped in my peppers as I like my Phó on the wild side. No matter - it was really tasty. Food and service was prompt and welcoming. One critique: the cream cheese puffs were average - don't stand out, but we're also lightly fried, as they should be. Vietnamese Egg Rolls were packed full of flavor. I'd get those again, but skip the Cream cheese puffs. We will be back!

Pho with noodles, sliced beef, and meatballs.

A nice little family ran restaurant. Friendly staff. I ordered the pho with noodles, sliced beef, and meatballs. I don't remember what it was called on the menu. I tried it exactly the way it was delivered to my table, and it was a bit bland. However, it was served with a lime wedge and there was a variety of sauces on the table. I squeezed the lime wedge in and added some hoisin and sriracha sauces and in no time the bland flavor became exquisite. I ended up really liking it. I was a little disappointed with the initial bland flavor, but having the ability to add some citrus flavor and other sauces greatly enhanced the flavor and experience. The menu described it as a "big bowl", and that description was accurate. The serving size is immense. You're doing something wrong if you manage to walk away hungry after eating an entire bowl. It was more than I could finish. And unfortunately, I am traveling for work and don't really have a way to carry the leftovers with me and eat them later.

Amazing service. The Pho and Bun salad were perhaps slightly above average but, if you are in Shakopee and want a reasonably priced Vietnamese meal, this place will do.

All of it was delicious! The brisket was extraordinarily tender. The sausage had a delicious kick to it and was juicy. The pulled pork had a wonderful smokiness to it and didn't need any bbq sauce. He got one that was pulled pork and brisket with sweet potato fries. I got pork ribs and brisket with Mac and cheese. We also ordered two jalapeño cheddar sausage links to share. We also ordered smoked chicken wings in buffalo sauce for an appetizer. The wing are awesome they had just enough smoke and crisp to make them very flavorful and the right amount of sauce. The brisket was great. I think the slices were from where the the flat and point meet. The ribs were seasoned well and had a good smoke ring. The only thing I might say was lacking for me is they were fall off the bone. I like mine to have a little tug to where I can take a bite and the meat doesn't all come away. The Mac and cheese for me was missing something maybe a little smoke or garlic. My son said the pulled pork was a little too chewy and the fat really hadn't melted into the meat. He was surprised to taste the brown sugar on the sweet potato fries which he said were ok. The jalapeño and cheddar sausage was good and it was cooked with just the right amount of snap to the casing. They had some good side options like coleslaw, mashed potatoes, regular and sweet potato fries, Mac and cheese and baked beans also. I would have liked to been able to order potato salad but not a deal breaker. Maybe another sausage option is like a Texas style hot link. Our server Nic S. was awesome always checking in and making sure that food was good and if we needed anything. We went on a Wednesday night and it was pretty busy. We came towards the end of happy hour also. The parking lot is shared by two other popular restaurants so parking was a little difficult but not bad. They could not use more spots as all three looked busy. The noise was normal and the decor was nice. Will definitely be back.

Love the murals on the walls celebrating the Minnesotan culture and icons. The service is always great, and the servers always have a good menu recommendation if you're unsure what to get. The bar has delicious drinks and their Jamaica juice is so refreshing on a hot summer day. Happy hour is a nice discount on some favorite items. I will say anything with shredded chicken isn't my favorite (not enough seasoning on the chicken for my taste) but everything else we've tried is a hit! We always start off with the chips and salsa flight and add cheese sauce - it's NOT a queso, there's no peppers or spice. The creamy green sauce is our favorite salsa they make, it's delicious on everything. The torta is a great choice if you're unsure what to get, the pineapple bowl is awesome if you're trying to share with others. Tacos and burritos are always a hit - I love the crunch of the pork belly and the flavor of the al pastor, taco toppings are onion and cilantro unless you get the loaded taco with slaw. The burrito could probably feed two people with an appetizer. It's a little higher priced than your typical plate of tacos but the quality of the food is always top notch, the kitchen is open and clean, and I've never left hungry or without leftovers. I will note - if you're looking for "traditional" Mexican food this probably isn't the spot you're looking for. It's still delicious just slightly different than what you'd get at your typical taqueria.

I imagine it would be really nice in the spring/summer as there is a horse track right outside of the restaurant which would provide a great view to a race. It definitely got a little loud just sitting inside They had a large variety of options to choose from on the menu. They also offered a great and surprisingly extensive Happy Hour Menu which we got there in time to take advantage of.  We got the burger and thought it was very tasty, we love a good caramelized onion. I thought it definitely needed some ketchup to balance out the heaviness of the onions and cheese with a little bright acidity. I also thought the patties themselves were very good, thin with a slight crisp to them with a soft bun and melty sauces and cheese. Since it was a happy hour option the burger did not come with any sides like it would have as an entrée. We also got fish tacos and we were a big fan of the slaw and pineapple mayo which brought a balance of sweet and savory to the dish. Only came with two tacos (at least for happy hour) which might not be enough food if you're hungry. The hot smoked salmon was one of the more unique items we tried. The salmon itself was super tasty - salty and smoky just what you want. They use the smaller scraps of salmon that wouldn't work in their Wood-Fired King Salmon entrée and incorporate it into this appetizer which is great sustainability-wise! The salmon came with a creamy ricotta, salty capers, crunchy crostini, and sweet and acidic pickled red onions. We liked this combination a lot but felt it could have used even more sweetness/acidity, maybe just adding a couple more onions to the dish. We really enjoyed the 'Garganelli' pasta dish. It was creamy and indulgent with pieces of lobster and freshly shaved parmesan on top. The chili added a really nice layer of heat but wasn't overpowering. The server was nice enough to split up everything we had over the evening to share (which explains the two small portions in the photo). MN Mule - 8/10 Pretty average but solid mule. However, it was served in a plastic spam cup which elevated the whole experience. Margarita - 9/10 Very good margarita - we were told it was a house made margarita not from a mix. Very bright and fresh flavors that definitely let the tequila shine. Overall would definitely recommend!
