If you are looking for a place with great ambiance this is the place. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The customer service is amazing. The food is so good! The pho had a lot of flavor, it was a little on the sweeter side but it was loaded with meat! I normally don't like a lot of meat either but this meat was so tender and delicious I ate it all. Noodles were cooked perfectly and broth was steaming hot. I love that they just give you chili oil without having to ask for it. I was told to try the dragon chicken here and that did not disappoint. So crispy and the right amount of spice. All of the drinks looked amazing so we tried a few, the coffee is the best around. It's so strong, reminds me of Vietnam. They have the specials like egg and salted foam coffee that you don't find at a lot of places. You have to grab a coffee if you come here. If you are not a coffee drinker they do have matcha and non caffeinated drinks too. The taro was not my favorite. I also had to get some banh mi to try. I tried the grilled pork and grilled chicken, both were marinated nicely. I love that they separate the veggies and sauce on the side when you order to go so the banh mi stays crisp and not soggy. read more

This was our third time visiting this restaurant. My wife really enjoys the drinks here, and they are always excellent. We visited on Friday for dinner. The biggest issue with this restaurant is the service. We were seated at a table without napkins or silverware, and it felt like we were forgotten about. Multiple staff members walked by our table without checking on us. We eventually had to ask another employee if we could get a waiter. Even after he informed our waiter, it took about 10 more minutes before anyone came to our table. After placing our order, our food arrived before our drinks. We could see our drinks sitting at the window ready to go, but once again they were forgotten. Thankfully, a different waiter noticed that the drinks had been sitting there long enough to become watered down and brought them to our table. The food and drinks were both very good, which is why we keep coming back. However, the service has a lot of room for improvement and takes away from what could otherwise be a great dining experience. read more

I have been here several times and will likely continue visiting a couple times per year. It's a pretty solid spot, with a couple things that justify the rating. Food is pretty good. Good flavors, usually fresh and well presented. Prices are high. 14$ for a Banh Mi sandwich? 10$ for a smoothie? Yikes! It looks very nice inside, but could use a cleaning on most of cushions, and I guarantee you will see multiple empty tables with dirty dishes sitting for far too long. Service overall is the biggest problem. Bring your own water bottle, cuz they ain't refilling it. Didn't order the first time they asked if you were ready??? You got 10 minutes until they ask again. Very different as far as the seating goes. Cushion seats like a breakfast nook. Not suitable for short people as the table is taller than the seating but very cozy. So much so after eating my bowl of Pho I wanted to take a nap. The staff here are very nice. Special pho was good a bit on the sweet side but needed a little more seasoning. We also got the pork chop rice. I thought there would be a fried runny egg to tie the dish together but I was disappointed. The grilled pork was small and sweet but overall good. The Bun Bo Hue was lacking the funk from the shrimp paste, but overall all good. The bah mi sandwich was the best thing I ate, the fresh bread was crispy and soft. They even have Korean corn dogs. I never received a follow up for being charged for 2 additional Roast Pork Baguettes. I loved the experience here when we visited to get lunch, the pho was delicious, nice portions and prepared perfectly. The Vietnamese iced coffee was yummy, I also thought it was cool how many different varieties they offer. I got the salted caramel and I liked it a lot. This experience was fabulous, especially being right next to my hotel. I would highly recommend my only concern was how much Szechuan pepper was being used in the Szechuan sauce. This place doesn't get enough attention because it's in the burbs. The space is clean, bright, and welcoming. The staff is always really friendly and happy to offer any advice you want. Any time I'm in the area without other plans I love to grab something to go. I'm a sucker for spring rolls and their tofu ones are decent. The peanut sauce is the best part. Thick, peanutty, and a hint of pepper to keep it interesting. The tofu rolls are a little lacking in the actual tofu but otherwise are ok. The banh mi are fantastic. They bake the bread in-house and if you're lucky you can smell a fresh batch being taken out of the oven. Crispy exterior and soft, chewy interior. They absolutely stuff them to the gills. Tons of protein and enough condiments/veggies to keep it really flavorful. You could easily make 2 meals out of it. Haven't had their boba but assume it's on the same standard. I thought going out to Shakopee to try something different, but it was alright. My friend and I got some drinks and a couple of dishes. I got a bowl of pho, and my friend got a bowl of the vermicelli noodle dish. The pho was alright, it tastes better than the vermicelli noodle. The sauce had a weird flavor. This restaurant is cute and cozy. They have this summer esthetic to their chairs, it's like the lawn chairs with cushion and pillows. Almost like boho style. A few friends and I stopped by here before an event at Canterbury Park. It was less than 10 minutes to get to the event, so we had plenty of time to enjoy. This place has a great feel to it. The space is very spacious, yet cozy at the same time. We had a few people coming in at different times, but staff was gracious enough to allow us to order as they came in. I'm very impressed with their patience with us. On to the food! Not pictured: The Matcha drink had like an Oreo cookie crumble combined. The flavors mixed well, and it wasn't too sweet. I usually don't like too much sweetness. I would recommend giving it a shot. The pho broth was pretty good. I usually expect a run of the mill taste, but I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful it was. I didn't even add hoison, which I usually add a lot of. It was a little spendy at $18, but I enjoyed it all the same. The banh mi was very tasty as well. I didn't initially get it, but after seeing how much my friends enjoyed it, I had to get one to go. I also picked up 2 banh mi tofu to go as well for my vegetarian parents. I ended up eating it cold, and it was still delicious. One warning for the vegetarians is to remember to ask for no pate. I 100% forgot to make sure there was no meat in the banh mi tofu, so I take the blame here. We reworked the banh mi, and my parents were still able to enjoy parts of it. All in all, I'll likely hit Bun Mee up next time there's an event in Shakopee. read more

The best banh mi I've had in ages. A little pricey for a family to eat but it's big portions and fresh food. Everything I've tried is absolutely delicious. I've been here 2 times - once for take out and once for dine in - both times I thought the food was just okay (tried different things each time). When we dined in we were sat at a somewhat messy table. There was a mess on the table as well as food all over the floor and some on the seats. We stood around the table waiting for the host to come back but he kind of avoided coming back for a while so we went back to the front and asked to be moved tables and another guy put us at clean table. My friend and I came to this establishment today for lunch, and for the most part, my experience was great. There were some highlights, and a few small details that I considered areas of opportunity. Overall, though, I would recommend those around the Shakopee area to come here to dine! I thoroughly enjoyed Bánh Mì Heo Quay, which basically meant crispy pork belly bánh mì, as it was gigantic along with a lot of pork, so it was crunch and flavor all around! Maybe the pork could have a bit less skin and more meat since they were pork bits, but honestly when it comes to crispy pork belly, having just skin is amazing as well. Bún Bò Huế was pretty good. I wasn't sure why it was not on the menu, but rather on the board by the front door, but I felt like one could've easily missed it, not knowing it existed. I am sure they have their reasons, but I would've prefered being able to see it on the menu right away. It tasted pretty good, but didn't have enough content. Even the amount of noodles was just okay, and I wasn't full after a bowl, which might've been why I had to order other food. My friend got the steak & eggs, which she saw from TikTok, which for some reason also wasn't on the menu but just the board. Once again, I felt like that customers could've easily missed it. I liked the fact that they provided baguette and veggies to put steak and eggs into the bread to make a sandwich. The steak tasted pretty good! In terms of the drinks, my friend thought the matcha Vietnamese coffee was too strong, as she started feeling jittery almost right away. I enjoyed my brown sugar fresh milk boba, but I totally forgot to ask about if I could reduce sugar content or ice, because I felt like I would've enjoyed it more if I had no ice and less sugar. Therefore, with all the comments above considered, I would give this establishment a 4 for now. However, I think they have a lot of potential and I wouldn't be surprised if many customers find them worth a 5 star! I've never had a bahn mi with so much meat! It was so good and the bread must be baked fresh onsite. The pad thai was ok but the noodles were dry and stuck together a lot. I added lime juice, soy sauce and sirracha to give it more flavor and loosen the noodles up. I opted for NO crushed peanuts on top. The portion was huge for 1 person! The egg rolls were good and I liked the dipping sauce but wish it were a little thicker. The shrimp spring rolls were the best we've had here in the surrounding area. Bun Mee served up incredibly flavorful Vietnamese cuisine in a very comfortable environment, and the service is fantastic. Tried the spring rolls (so fresh and the peanut sauce was amazing), cream cheese wontons (up there with the best), shrimp Pho (are you kidding!!) and crab fried rice (off menu special). This is up there with Na's (Chan), and Cam Rahn Bay (B'ville) for best Asian cuisine in the SW Metro. And the decor and service can't be beat. My wife and I went here for the first time together. She had a banh mi from here before and had been craving it since. Service: 10/10. We couldn't find a single reason to even dock them half a point. The whole staff were SO nice, and every few minutes someone was filling our water, asking if we were okay, and were super kind. Food: 8/10 Crispy Pork Banh Mi: 10/10. (Wife's rating) The roasted pork with the crispy skin was delicious. Baguette was light and crispy, vegetables were solid. Szechuan Chicken: 7.5/10. Very spicy, and while it felt like it needed a sauce, the flavor was there and the texture of the chicken was unique and delicious. I ended up adding the sauce they serve the wings with and it was a great pairing. (Our waiter went on his lunch break and ordered the dish with the sauce I recommended) (This entree wasn't on their menu, but I saw it on instagram. The server said only two people have asked for it) Crispy non-spicy wings: 8/10. The dusting of seasoning had a salty/slightly sour flavor that was really good. The service was great, Jenny was a very great server, she checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. I love the decor, the booths have pillows and are pretty luxurious. The food was delicious, the portions were perfect and the price is easy on the wallet. The only thing I didn't like was that we ordered appetizers and our food and they gave it all to us at the same time, so we didn't get a chance to enjoy our appetizers. Next time we visit I will be sure to ask that the appetizers come out first so we can enjoy them before the entrees come out. We popped by on a Saturday night at 6:30 craving pho soup and hoping the dinner rush would be wrapping up. This was my 3rd time eating here in the last year as the food keeps bringing me back. The cozy vibe is appreciated until you sit down and notice how stained the cushions are. We tried the Vietnamese pork sausage spring rolls to try something new. Naturally, the spring rolls came out 1 minute before our entrees did. Great foundation for a spring roll but the sausage had little to no flavor. We both had the Pho Special which was good but the broth does not stand out. However, the most consistent part that sticks out to me is how SLOW the service is! We don't know if they are just understaffed kitchen as they are in the front of house - but every time we end up waiting at least 30 minutes from the time we order. We frequent bun mee and absolutely love their food. This place is better than Quangs across the board in food. Why the low rating? We went out for an early dinner on 11/26/25 at 4:15pm. There were a few tables being served. We were seated, gave menus and then no one came around to take our order. We sat there for about 15 minutes, no water given and ignored. After 15 minutes we walked out. As we were walking out the waitress thanked us for coming in, told her we didn't get served so we are going somewhere else. She seemed like she didn't care as we walked out. This will be the last time we go to bun mee, we love the food but service just isn't there. The last few times we went service was slow, and food came out before the appetizers, again we love the food so we overlooked this but the most recent trip made us decide never to go back. Place offers more of a modern decor with very comfortable seating. Ordered shrimp spring rolls as our appetizer and brisket & meatball pho, seafood soft noodles, and 2 bun bowls (house special & grilled chicken). Special Bun bowls served with grilled pork, shrimp, and a egg roll with pickled veggies, lettuce, rice noodles and fish sauce. Very tasty. All food was fresh and portions were generous. Service was spotty as our food came and sat until we received utensils a few minutes later. More staff will definitely fix that issue. It was decent. Two of us stopped for dinner. This was our first time eating here. There was no one to greet us and no obvious hostess station so we headed to the counter and started looking at the digital menu. A woman greeted us there and took our order and gave us a buzzer, and we found ourselves a table. It was 10 or 15 minutes and we'd still not received our hot teas, so I walked back to the ordering counter and saw two to-go cups and asked if those were our teas and was told that it was. I picked them up and they didn't seem very full and not really very hot so I asked about that she took them back and they remade them. The remade teas were full not super hot. While the tea was tasty, for the amount we got, they were pretty expensive at about six dollars per tea. Quite some time passed again, and I went up to the counter and our meals were coming out at that time, and they brought them over to our table, but they were packaged to-go. We had not asked for them to go. It was our intention to eat in. They brought the packaged meals over to our table and we explained that it was our intention to eat-in, but we would just accept them as they were and just eat them there, but they insisted on taking them back to the kitchen and plating them. They did a really good job and the food came back out and it was hot and it was tasty. And there was a lot of food! While we enjoyed our meals, I have to highlight the Spring Rolls with Shrimp and Peanut Sauce. First, the rolls were very large. Second, the flavor of the rolls and the sauce were excellent. By myself, an order would be a meal! So while we had a bit of a misfire on the ordering, in the end, everything turned out well. read more
