In prior years, I've usually picked up on Christmas Eve and the wait can exceed 90 mins to 2 hours depending on when you arrive - this is the case even when you doorbust at opening time. This year, we picked up on the 23rd and arrived around opening time, and it only took 30 minutes. There are also very high quality pantry goods to peruse and purchase, including pasta, mustards, spices, tinned goods, etc. Onto the meat: I preordered late this year so got 21 day aged prime rib roast (would usually aim for 45+ days), but honestly it was hard to tell the difference. I ordered the roast pre seasoned, cradled and tied for ease and it was very high quality, easy to cook and delicious. Shoutout to the very friendly and hardworking staff at Olivier's - I see yall fighting for your lives trying to control that line every year (lol). Thank you for your service!

We arrived around 9 pm without reservations. The hostess was friendly and gave us an estimated wait time, suggesting we also put our names in with the bar since that line sometimes moves faster. The bartender, unfortunately, was rude from the start. When I politely asked where we were in the queue, his response was simply, "Before the end of the night." Obviously we knew we'd be seated before closing, but he didn't even bother checking our names. The interaction felt dismissive, as though he couldn't care less about helping us. It almost felt like we were an inconvenience because we weren't ordering drinks while waiting. Ironically, the hostess ended up seating us before the bar ever did. Given his attitude, I honestly wouldn't have been surprised if we had been skipped altogether. Once seated, I thought the worst was behind us, but then my prime rib arrived cold. The portion was huge, so I tried to overlook it, but it was still disappointing. The meal felt rushed overall, and even the salad didn't seem as fresh and ice-cold as it usually is. Here's the run-down: Orchards: 23% ABV: A softer, lighter, and more nuanced version of Amaro Montenegro. Woodlands: 21% ABV: Very heavy cacao note with figs. It's almost a chocolate liqueur. Can be used in place of Averna in a Black Manhattan. Fields: 35% ABV: Very sweet, and heavy on the celery and butterscotch. Chaparral: 46% ABV; A lighter version of Green Chartreuse that is heavy on the mint and green tea. After the tour, you can stay and order food at the tasting table, but it's better to make a reservation in the main dining room. The place is small and books up way in advance. K&L Wines sells the amaros for less than the price at the distillery.
