I've been visiting this pho spot for a few years now; and today was just disappointing. The server seemed a bit confused when I had questions about the types of meats to select from, and the noodles have changed to a fatter thicker noodle - you can't even grab them with the chopsticks. When leaving I asked for a boba tea - I first got taro and it way too sweet. I went back and they were kind enough to switch it to a milk tea boba... the boba pearls were so hard I had to spit them out. It's just sad, because I used to be a big fan of this place. I write this so they can improve.

I want to give this more stars, but I paid almost $30 for this. There was less than one leaf of lettuce total, and the egg roll tasted straight of oil. I usually love local smaller places, but this missed the mark. I'll only be coming back for pho from now on.

Bestie finally took me to this busy spot and I can see why. The pho is the hit here but who knew it could come it different sizes. The choices are still all good choices and can suit anyone's dietary needs mostly. We started with the eggrolls but I found them a little.ocercooked and dry but the Thai tea made up for it and the medium sized pho was still enough to take home. All in all great spot for some good pho and tea. Warm bellies are happy bellies.

100% authentic Vietnamese spot. The staff is Asian, very respectful and welcoming, which makes the experience feel genuine. Highly recommend the Pho #32 with flank, brisket, and beef fat -- super flavorful broth. Add fish sauce, eel sauce, and a little spice to level it up. Great portions for the price. The medium is more than enough... the large is major league size The vibe is casual and college-style since it's very close to FIU, so it's perfect for students and quick comfort food. Definitely coming back!

The place is clean, yet theres the loud buzzing of the freezer at work in the background. There's 1 speaker of music playing and there is good lighting. However the bowls and utensils such as the spoons are not clean. The service is also not good. The employees are all young, in their teens and just standing around like they don't know what to do or do their jobs to check up or take our order. Had to bother a waiter to take my order like it was a crime. The food is also terrible. The broth is diluted and not strong or filling. The scent of star anise was like tossed in without consideration of the flavors. The broth needs to be cooked longer or even overnight to bring out that Phở flavor. The noodles were not fully cooked either. There is a good portion of meat given though. I don't recommend the place.

Prefer the other location. It was fine but wouldn't come back here. I've been to the other location 3x and I think the food was better there. Service was quick and good though.

This was my first time trying Pho, and it was interesting to say the least. There was an odd smell in the location, and the presentation was simple. I did not like the flavor and texture of the noodles. The service felt rushed.

Where do I start. I been going visiting this place frequently over the past year and every time I visit the prices go up. $19.00 for a small bowl of pho . They increase the price and kept the same portion size actually they give you less protein. The portion size was not larger. Nothing was better just a price increase. Lost all respect for this please and the owner . Will never return. Totally ruined my Father's Day weekend. Ambience average. Parking sucks. Boba way overpriced. Definitely not worth the visit or the money .

Best Bun Bo Hue! Very authentic with an option to have it with pork feet and pork blood. So so good! Family owned and run. Service was quick and a great option if you need to be in and out and also want a hearty meal. Drooling writing this and was lucky to have had a home cooked meal. Free parking and plenty spaces available!

There is a fly inside my soup OMGGGGG and waiter didn't even apologize they just changed my soup??

Monday late lunch. The restaurant has booths and tables and decor is minimal. You come here to eat and get out. Zero ambiance. The service was good and the meal was served promptly. The #31 beef pho medium was very good. Plenty of thin rare beef slices and lots of thin noodles. The broth was delicious. The seafood pho broth tasted like dishwater and only contained one shrimp in the medium size. The mini eggrolls were ok but a little dry. They don't have hot black tea but they have a variety of other teas. All are around $7 which I think is a little expensive. Actually, the prices were pretty steep on everything. For two phos, mini eggrolls and 2 spring rolls and no drinks the bill was $60 without tip. So be prepared to dish out $. I would return for the beef pho.

I've been coming to this location for about 5 years. Unfortunately it got the hype and the prices for the pho bowls went up (but understandably). #35 is my go to and i always order the shrimp rolls to top off my experience i leave with a boba taro in my hand. For two people it's about $70 but you can never go wrong with this place

This place has been open for many years. Food is always delicious here.. it was my go to my college days and whenever I'm in the area. Great sick, hungover, or feeling great day! I always get the Pho with everything in it. Service is always attentive and caring. It's a cool place for lunch break, solo date, or a date :)

Have they finally pick food delivery company yet?

Yes we use UberEats, DoorDash, and GrubHub for delivery and takeout.

Do they serve vegan banh mi sandwiches? With tofu?

I do not think so. But Banh mi cafe in Stirling does.

Do they offer any FIU discounts?

We thinking about that on nearest future, during this Covid season , we tried server our best even the cost of suppliers higher than normal.

    Do they deliver?

Thru Postmates only, but my delivery fee came up to the same price as the food, so i was disappointed.

Will Pho 79 consider opening a 3rd location further south?

it would be a great thing considering I frequented their locations to the north prior to opening Miami FIU. but this question is something the ownership of pho79 can answer

    Do you guys deliver?

    I highly doubt it.

Is the vegetarian pho vegan? Curious about the type of broth that is used?

I called and asked about this and they told me it's veggie broth so it's vegan! I haven't gone to try it yet but I definitely will!

Are the noodles for the vegetarian pho made with egg?

Pho noodles are made out of rice flour usually. No egg.

Is this owned/operated by the same family that opened Pho 79 in Davie?

    Yes

Our dinner at Tâm Tâm can be summed up with two words: FLAVOR BOMB!…read more But you know I can't stop at two words. Tâm Tâm was at the top of my list for Miami Spice foodie adventures, and with the annual event winding down* it was high time to get our fix in. I've had this Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant on my radar for quite sometime, but the dining stars hadn't quite aligned yet. However, last night was the night! This intimate lowkey dining spot was all a buzz on hump day. A reservation was a no-go for any civilized eating hour, but we managed to score a great table outside within 15 minutes of showing up during primetime. They do not have a liquor license but do have a comprehensive wine menu and some low/no-ABV cocktails. Unfortunately, the one I had my heart set on (Pathfinder with a Calamansi foam) was no longer on the menu, and our server said he did not recommend the Aplos Spicy Margarita which was the only other thing I was considering, and hubby is an Old Fashioned drinker, so we stuck with water. We both opted for the Miami Spice menu. They've priced it at $50 for dinner, but portions are notably smaller (halved) for at least the entrees (not sure about the apps and dessert). I started with the Scallop Pomelo Crudo. This light and refreshing dish had my tastebuds dancing with every bite. Hubby went for the Lotus Root Salad which I snagged a few bites of. If we return for a regular menu night, this will be a resounding yes. So bright and flavorful with a nice mix of textures. With the Miami Spice menu Tâm Tâm was also offering a complimentary duo of their signature house wings. I don't eat chicken so instead they brought me the shimeji mushrooms which I destroyed! No man mushroom left behind. I'm generally not a fan of dill but it works in this dish, playing up the seafood notes of the La Vong sauce. As for the wings? Hubby was in heaven. He said they were the best chicken wings he's ever had, and getting him to give more than a "good" or "okay" on a dish is a tall order, so that my friends is a rave review. I tried a little dip of the sauce and it was delicious. For entrees, my man went for the Lamb Wrap Situation, and I opted for the Grilled Sea Bass. The fish was cooked and deboned expertly. The fish sauce and citrus notes of the nuoc cham were at times a little overpowering, but I also was trying to avoid the carb hit of the white rice which would probably mellow it a bit. Other than that, the dish was great. The lamb wrap received a resounding thumbs up from my other half as he devoured the whole plate. For dessert we picked one of each, the cashew passionfruit cheesecake, and the seasonal dessert, a guava ice cream. The cheesecake was much thinner/smaller than I expected, but the flavors are so pronounced that a little goes a long way. It's not intended to be eaten together, but the sweetness of the guava ice cream pairs perfectly with the tartness of the passion fruit. We could have easily polished off a second round of the desserts, but this was a good stopping point. Overall, Tâm Tâm is as much a feast for the eyes as it is for the stomach and tastebuds. The plating is beautiful and thoughtful, and each ingredient is carefully considered to create a symphony of flavors on the tongue. Based on food alone, this is one of the best meals I've had in a long time, hence the 5 stars. But, if I'm being honest, the service? More of a 3 or 4 star. Getting water refills was hit or miss. The time between courses was sometimes awkwardly long. And we were never offered any tea or coffee (perphaps they don't make it?). Instead the server just dropped the check off. They were very busy that night, so it's likely a lack of time thing, but those little details are what really takes a meal to the next level. I'm still keeping the review at 5 stars though because the food is really the star of the show and the reason people are lining up to dine here in the middle of the week. *Miami Spice has officially been extended thru October this year however Tâm Tâm has yet to confirm if they'll continue participating.

So I jumped on Yelp to look for the nearest highly rated pho restaurant in came across Photastic. The yelp directions brought me to a parking space right in front of the restaurant. We arrived around 8 PM, an hour before closing. We were greeted immediately and sat in a nice table, which was clean and well equipped for a pho meal. Menus and water were brought immediately along with a warm greeting from the waitress. Immediately, I noticed that I had interacted with two members of the staff at each admin, gracious and welcoming. I found the discontinued through the entire meal with other people, stopping by to make sure that everything was perfect and being enjoyed by us. I went to the restroom to wash and noted it to be immaculate. This is usually one of the best signs that a restaurant pays attention to detail and I am always happy to see that they are meticulous. Our order was taken and we were served very quickly. First out was the condiments/toppings. The peanut based sauce for the spring rolls and the vegetables for the pho. We began with Gỏi Cuốn, Vietnamese spring rolls. Traditionally these are fresh shrimp, vermicelli noodles, and lettuce wrapped in thin, translucent rice paper served cold with a savory dipping sauce, often a peanut-based sauce and here they are customized with delicious fresh herbs and vegetables, as well as pork. Personally, I do not like it as much with pork, but had not noticed that it was made this way on the menu when I ordered and next time, I'll ask if it is available without the pork. I will say, however, that is hands-down, the very best Gỏi Cuốn I have ever eaten. My wife and I both ordered pho. She chose the chicken while I opted for the steak and meatball. We found all of the meats very chewy in texture, but they were extremely tasty. The portions were huge and the broth was delicious. The flavorful soups with fresh noodles and ingredients were both spectacular. Portions are excellent. I like mine spicy and the perfect condiments were available right on the table. The Matcha latte Boba tea was quite good as well. Prices were in line with other local restaurants which will somewhat high are right, where I expect them to be locally. The overall experience was great. I did notice that somebody walked in about a minute before the post to closing time and was turned away. While, I find this to be unusual in local family owned restaurants, it is certainly not unreasonable. So if you're a late eater, check the hours before arriving. This was my first visit in this restaurant has moved right onto my list of favorite comfort foods nearby my home. If you like pho, I highly recommend you try it.

Everything was delicious and definitely worth the sweat and calories that came with it. The gains of enriched flavor, strong beef collagen broth , and crispy vegetables spring roll noodles made a pleasant meal. It was not packed when we got there around 3 pm and the restaurant was spacious. Quick service as well.

And I feel like I have to say this: some of these reviews are clearly linked to exposure. The pho here was FINE. Solid 3. The service? Not good at all. The woman who cooks/runs this place was all over the place. There was nothing kind, grateful, or warm about her as she took orders and prepared food. Her husband was nice but the lack of attentive service from her was not cool. She was very tuned in to the other couple dining but I called her several times (in that tiny space) and she seemed to not hear me. I also have to say that the size of their homemade teas is super generous. However, while I was there, two tables, including mine, were served Thai Iced Teas with sour milk. When I finally got the owner's attention, she frowned when I told her and said, "I just served that." And then went to the other table to double-check as if my words wouldn't quite do it. lol The other table confirmed it was sour. The owner took the cups, no apology or nothing, and asked us if we wanted it remade. I asked for a coke instead. A bottle was $5... five whole dollars. Egg rolls: okay. Def a bit bland.. Served with some weird ketchupy sweet/sour sauce. I asked for fish sauce, which was good. Paid about $36 for pho, egg rolls, and a drink. If this is your only pho option in the area, go for it, but i was not impressed especially once my stomach processed the sour milk.

The place basically looks the same with just a few updates. But it's peaceful, quiet and pleasant. We decided to have our favorite dish, Beef Pho, and ordered that. Our server was Francisco, who was friendly and helpful. It didn't take long for our soup to arrive. I guess 5 years can make a difference in how pho is made or maybe there is a different chef. The pho now is not cooked the same as back then and didn't taste as good, to our surprise and disappointment. The brisket was not very tender but was tough and hard to chew. The steak slices were cut so thin as to not have much flavor or substance. The amount of meat was a little less and there were way more noodles than before. Something was missing but I can't remember what it was...a green vegetable, I think. Overall, it was ok but not excellent like before. We have had beef pho on the west coast many times and it was always perfect. It could've been just that day that it was off. Maybe it was something else like the economy because the place was empty at 6:30 pm when we arrived for dinner. There was one couple sitting in a booth and only a few trickled in afterwards, unlike in the past when it was packed. There is plenty of parking in front of Basilic with wheelchair accessiblability.
