And I feel like I have to say this: some of these reviews are clearly linked to exposure. The pho here was FINE. Solid 3. The service? Not good at all. The woman who cooks/runs this place was all over the place. There was nothing kind, grateful, or warm about her as she took orders and prepared food. Her husband was nice but the lack of attentive service from her was not cool. She was very tuned in to the other couple dining but I called her several times (in that tiny space) and she seemed to not hear me. I also have to say that the size of their homemade teas is super generous. However, while I was there, two tables, including mine, were served Thai Iced Teas with sour milk. When I finally got the owner's attention, she frowned when I told her and said, "I just served that." And then went to the other table to double-check as if my words wouldn't quite do it. lol The other table confirmed it was sour. The owner took the cups, no apology or nothing, and asked us if we wanted it remade. I asked for a coke instead. A bottle was $5... five whole dollars. Egg rolls: okay. Def a bit bland.. Served with some weird ketchupy sweet/sour sauce. I asked for fish sauce, which was good. Paid about $36 for pho, egg rolls, and a drink. We stopped in for dinner as we were craving Vietnamese food. My daughter had Pho with shredded chicken. I had lemongrass pork and rice. We shared Korean bar-b-q wings and summer rolls. The owners were our servers and they are on it. Quick and so nice. It is a smaller place so not too many tables but clearly they do a lot of take away business as there were people in and out. The food was good, the chicken wings were very good. Unfortunately they were not making banh mi which is what I was looking for. A very small & cozy mom & pop shop located inside a small business block. There were already a few people waiting before the store was opened (including us hehe). There were a very few small tables (around 4-5 tables) to sit parties of 2-3 people and maybe 1 table big enough for sit 4 people. We had Beef Combo Pho $14.95 & Grilled Pork Rice Plate $13.95. The way tea is served is really cute but a little pricey. It's a glass mug with a soy sauce dipper as a cover to keep it hot and a lime slice plus honey. It reminded me of how my mom gave me tea growing up. The pho was really good. The broth was rich and deep and there was a LOT of bean sprouts to add in. It's tangy and not too sweet, which is nice. The place is on the smaller side and they have bright orange decor and plastic chairs. It's casual. The service is kind-- some people said the owner is rude. My experience has been that she's direct but not necessarily rude. For example, I ordered my salad with cilantro and then picked it all out (it said no substitutions or changes on the menu). She noticed and told me next time to ask for it without cilantro. We came here for Christmas Eve, and let me say it was the most delicious pho broth that we have ever had. Usually, we put hoisin sauce or sriracha in it to add flavor but this soup really didn't need it at all. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the brisket mixed with the broth added SO MUCH flavor and chewiness. Christine (the owner & head chef) was so kind and we spoke with her for a bit before leaving. We went with our friend who lives near by. I'd read about this place being a hidden "gem" and that it was "authentic". It's not so undiscovered any more, but it's certainly authentic. My friend and I shared a grilled pork rice noodle salad bowl. It was a large enough portion. The pork was fantastic -- well grilled and flavorful. No skimpy meat here. Also carrots, lettuce, cucumbers, rice noodles, and cilantro. We used the sweet vinegar "sauce" as our salad dressing. I also added a bit of hoisin to my pork. The dish was delicious. My husband ordered a pho bowl with pork. There were bean sprouts, basil, jalapeños and lime wedges on the side to add. We all got a taste of the savory broth, too. He said it was very very good -- none was left to take home. They had quite a number of other items I would like to try -- their dumplings; their banh mi sandwiches; wings; 5 spice shrimp, etc etc. Forgot to say how much my friend liked her lemongrass mint tea. So aromatic! She brought home what she didn't finish drinking there in a go cup... This is a place you could go back again and again and not be bored.
