This is a large Vietnamese restaurant. It has an extensive menu offering many choices of food to meet your needs. The restaurant is not super clean and frequently their workers are occupying a table to work on vegetables. That said the food is decent and seems relatively fresh. The egg rolls are rolled nice and tight as are the spring rolls. Their menu also offers many drink choices and desserts. Family of four tourists came from San Jose. Heard from relative that Pho 54 is the best Pho so gave it a try. Overall not the best Pho in town. Free drinks are so water down that my kids refused to drink them even though they were rootbeer and 7 up. My rau Ma (pennyworth) was watered down too. My husband's Vietnamese iced coffee wasn't any better. My recommendation: either go to Pho 79 (much better Pho) or go to Pho Vinh Ky 2 (50% off). Will not come back. read more

A favorite go to spot for great and convenient pho that also opens late! They have always opened late, before during Covid at midnight and more recently at 3am everyday. It's always a good amount of people dining in because the restaurant is just a great stop for food when you need something nice and quick. Food is on par with other pho restaurants, broth is what makes a bowl of pho exceptional to me and I like the broth here. I usually just get the combination pho dac biet and am always satisfied with it. I also get the shrimp fried rice and absolutely love it too. Not sure if they put butter but it's delicious! Service is what you get at many Asian restaurants such as this. They don't mess around and get you seated quick and get your food quickly. I think most employees don't speak English well but everyone is so nice and they are attentive even when it doesn't seem like they are. Parking is never an issue unless you get in at an extremely busy time where their entire parking lot is full. It's rare you won't find any parking and they have street parking too. You know what you get when you come get. Reliable, tasty food and fast, friendly service. Love this place! read more

Three diners. Three #29. BBQ pork chop with rice. We also got 2 orders of the crispy Eggroll. One of the diners suggested we get pho for us to share. The waitress questioned our decision because she said "that's a lot of food." We didn't get the pho, glad we listened. Huge plates of food! Two nicely charred chops, heaping serving of rice, small green salad & fish sauce. Each order of eggroll came with 4 rather large, beautifully crispy fried eggrolls. It was a feat in itself that we were able to finish everything. The restaurant atmosphere itself is nothing to write home about. But, the food was on point. read more

It's not the best but for the value and late hours it's great. Pho at 10-11pm is an elite choice so be grateful. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. I've only tried the pho here but it was good. You don't really find a $12 bowl of pho anywhere anymore. read more

Whenever visit SoCal, I usually come to Pho 54 mainly because it's one of the very few (if not the only one) that opens late when crave for some late night pho! I believe it used to be opened 'till 2 - 3 AM in the past. But post pandemic, it now opens until midnight, while other places closed already by 9PM. Parking can be hectic sometimes since it's in a very small plaza with minimal spaces. The staffs seem okay during all my visits, at least they are not rude. The pho is acceptable, not the best but not the worst. It fulfills my pho hunger, and that's all that matters! The price is not too bad, but I was a bit surprised about their bowl size "Regular" that I ordered for my Pho # 3 Combo. Being accustomed to the bowl sizes from most other pho places, their size "Regular" here is more of a "baby" or "kid" size at other places. Hence, their "Large" must be more of a regular or medium bowl at others. read more

There's just something about a Vietnamese restaurant, where the service isn't the best, but it's tolerated if the food is good. This restaurant is exactly that. The servers are nice, but it's one of those things, once you get your food, that's it. If you need water or extra napkins, you would have to be the one that hunts them down. I know good Vietnamese food when I see and eat it. They made really good vermicelli bowls and spring rolls. I ate everything! It was so yummy. I'm craving more of the food here. Can't get enough of this place! You know I gotta have my daily fix of their item #1 beef pho combo my husband got the #3 which is similar. On the side we and the kids shared some egg rolls and chicken fried rice. Their prices are very fair and we feasted for the family for just around $70 aaand had leftovers. We decided to order this as takeout. We did boil the broth a little before putting all the ingredients together. Service was super fast like our order was ready in 15 min! Inside is clean and cozy as always. I highly recommend this place whether your looking to eat out or simply within the comfort of you own house. From a middle class college student's perspective, I will be rating my true and diplomatic experience in a very simple outline that I deem necessary from any restaurant I go to :) Pho 54 has a bad wrap for-sure... From outside it looks like a hole in the wall restaurant, but those are the best kinds right? the inside is filled with architectural design which gives a taste of culture into the Vietnamese world. It is open till 12:00 am which gives a good amount of time for night owls and late shift workers to come and have a hearty bowl of pho and more. The service is good, everyone is super friendly. I ordered pho, pork and shrimp spring rolls and eggs rolls. The eggrolls were the really good ones rolled with rice paper and not the typical egg roll paper. I believe at some restaurants they're called imperial egg rolls. My favorite. The spring rolls had actual lettuce and mint and not iceberg, yay. The pho was filling and had a nice portion of meats. It's not a fancy new pho spot like all the new ones that pop up, but honestly it's what i prefer. Good food, nice service and consistent quality. read more

I have been to this restaurant many times and the food is always delicious. The vermicelli with charbroiled shrimp, pork and egg roll tends to have everything you could want in one dish. Just know that the fish sauce has a little kick to it, so don't pour the entire bowl in it if you don't like it a little spicy. I also like to add a little hoisin sauce and Sriracha into it for more flavors. The dish has mint... so if you do not like it, ask for it without. read more

Really good Pho! The broth is absolutely delicious, this is a must go! I ordered the large 12. Which I believe is rare steak and cooked brisket, I also ordered their egg rolls which didn't disappoint. My bf ordered a large 13. Rare steak and well done flank, he also ordered a side of rare steak and a Thai tea. We walked out full and satisfied for about $55. Service was quick, I definitely will be back. read more

This is our go to Family pho spot. The food is delicious and great price. Especially pho with rare beef is always good. I personally like the flank and brisket as well. Tender and juicy. Best part is that the large bowl is only a d0llar difference from the regular. Many places these days charge you a couple bucks for a size upgrade so this really helps. I can't say for sure but it seems like a family business and many of the servers speak English but barely. I don't mind at all since food is great and we can have some conversation but not like a full on one. It may come off as unfriendly to some people though. Just a heads up. Plenty of space and seats though so even if it's crowded, there's usually a seat. read more

Me and my wife came here for a late night meal. It's open until 1:00 AM, so there are a lot of families inside who come from Disneyland making it pretty lively inside regardless of the time. The food was served super fast, and we were in and out of the restaurant in less than an hour despite coming at a later time. read more

Looking for an after 9 pm restaurant has been difficult in Santa Ana. This pho 54 restaurant maybe your option. The parking at night time is easier than in the morning because most of the shops here already closed. However, nothing is special for pho. The quantity was decent for the price at $11.50 of a large bowl( more like medium size) of hot soup, but the taste was bland. The veggies like the bean sprouts came as already steamed and basils were fresh. The rice dish was tasty and came with fresh veggies. The atmosphere was alright as the Asian restaurant with decent sitting and occupancy. The service lady was fast and friendly, and we didn't expect much. Overall, would recommend this place if there is no other choices for an picky eaters after 9 because they open until 1 am. read more

Great pho spot! Pho 54 is such affordable option to have when hubby and I don't want to cook at home but still want something comforting to eat. Hubby and I order takeout from here every single Friday as they accept orders over the phone! Pick-up is super easy and quick, and the staff is extremely helpful. We always go for the pho tai (rare), pho chin (brisket), and pho ga (chicken). They give generous portions. A large bowl can easily feed two people. They always give a lot of protein with the pho noodles. The broth is savory and super clean. Definitely the best value and quality for our family. They always do a fantastic job packaging the pho, from the protein, to the noodles, broth, and even the veggies and condiments. All so organized! They take credit card now too!!! read more

I've been coming here for years with my loved ones and have always had a good time. Due to its late closing time, it's my go to spot whenever I'm craving a warm pho or vermicelli dish. Parking is easy to find as it's located in a plaza. It's customer service is a bit lacking as I've had some rude interactions with the staff, but honestly the food makes up for it. Also, I'm so hyped that the Cháo Sườn Quẩy is FINALLY back on the menu! It came out piping hot and is just as comforting as I remember. The bread was nicely toasted and served warm, making it easy to share. Bánh Ướt Đặc Biệt - $14.50 Steamed rice sheets topped with pork patties, fried tofu, and fresh vegetables, served with a house fish sauce. The sauce leaned light and slightly sweet, which may appeal to some but felt a bit mild overall. Bún Chả Hà Nội - $16.50 Rice vermicelli served with grilled pork, pork patties, fresh herbs, and house fish sauce. Similar to the other dish, the sauce was on the lighter side in terms of flavor. The protein portions also felt a bit small for the price. Service My party and I were greeted and seated promptly upon our arrival. A server brought menus and returned shortly after to take our order. However, they did not check-in throughout the dining experience. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing and the food came out quickly. Payment is processed at the register near the back by the kitchen. Ambiance The restaurant is dimly lit with plenty of seating for dine-in. Location It is located in a strip plaza with a shared parking alongside other businesses.

When I would come inside, I would see their other limited time food items, like their brussel sprouts and order that as well. I really enjoyed their brussel sprouts and now sad to see it gone. I joined the Mama Hieus App which makes ordering ahead easier for pickup. I really like the app bc its simple to plan your dinner ahead. You can pick the day and time you want to pick-up. If I could make one request, is if you can give customers (me) the option to pay like extra $1-$2 for their orders to be ONLY FLAT WINGS on small orders. The chicken is so well crispy and coated and the non flat wings are too meaty but then carry less of your delicious seasoning in my opinion. Does that request exist? I guess I should ask this with your staff in person if I can get a special request to get all flat wings only. Overall, still love your wings and travel once a week when I can from Irvine to get them to share with my Mom for our bonding time.

Over all those years, they have never disappointed me and continue to serve really good food. I usually get the beef brisket pho and it's really good. The noodles are just the right texture, the broth is clean and flavorful, and the meat tastes fresh and tender. Their dui bo is also very good, but usually runs out after 1:00 or 2:00 pm, since they only have a limited amount of this item every day. The meat is fall off the bone tender and has a more fatty flavor to it. It usually sits in some broth that absorbs that beefy and fatty flavor from the bone. A great addition to any bowl of pho. Alternatively, I sometimes also get the bun thit nuong and it's very good. The eggrolls it comes with is wrapped with rice paper, so when it's fried up, it has such a satisfying crunch and texture to it. The thit nuong is has a nice smokey, grilled flavor to it. The shrimps are okay as well. This is a very satisfying and filling dish, so if you're looking for a high volume dish, this may be the one to get. Expect long lines during peak hours. I can confirm though that the wait is worth it! Service is always very good. The ambiance on the inside is fine, very plain and unassuming in my opinion. It's really the pho that shines through at this restaurant. Parking can be a little tricky during peak hours.

Put your name on the list hanging outside the door and they will call you when ready! We were sat almost immediately though. Inside is a large scale mom and pop shop that is FILLED with people and workers. We ordered a medium and large #23 pho and 2 waters, we got everything not even 5 minutes later. When I tell you this is the BEST broth I've ever had, it blew me away. I'm not one to usually order extra noodles but for this place I would order as many noodles until I ran out of broth, it is that good. Noodles were on the soggier side, I'm not picky about noodles but if you are then this is something to consider. Portions were huge for the price, very happy with that. CASH ONLY. I didn't see an ATM there but I'm sure they had one. Will always recommend and they have a new customer for whenever I'm in OC.

The egg rolls ($10) were packed with beef, shrimp, wood ear mushroom, and vermicelli--crispy on the outside and paired perfectly with fresh lettuce and fish sauce. The standout for me was the flaming wagyu ($18), torched tableside. For how thick the cut was, it was incredibly tender and soft. Definitely go medium rare. The ponzu dipping sauce really enhances the richness of the beef. We also tried the shaken beef ($21), which came with plenty of caramelized onions and bell peppers that added a subtle sweetness. The beef was slightly charred, bite-sized, and super satisfying--especially with rice. The combo pho ($25) came loaded with a variety of meats, all tender and melt-in-your-mouth. The broth had a deep, beefy richness, and the noodles were perfectly soft. Add in the garnishes for some crunch and it really ties everything together. Overall, a solid spot with quality ingredients and flavorful dishes. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area.
