Worst! I am Vietnamese myself and I would never go here again. I was in Woburn for a seminar. And seen this place and figured you can't go wrong with a pho place... I was wrong. The pho was so tasteless and my Bún tht nng. Oh god I had no idea it could get worst! My rice vermicelli noodle was over cooked and breaking with every grab. I consider myself a bit of a pho connoisseur, having eaten it for 15+ years. I used to live in Seattle, where there is a good pho restaurant on every block. Its been tough finding a good bowl of pho, unless you make the trek to Dorchester. Pho 1 is pretty good, not great, but I would say its probably the best pho option in the area. Service is quite slow, but this appears to be the norm at all pho restaurants in the Boston area. I usually get the pho tai and the meat is tender and the broth is flavorful. read more

Normally I love this restaurant. However, for some reason, it has gone extremely downhill. A few short moments ago, I was dining in this restaurant. I work down the street and I have a cold, so I figured what's better than Pho, right? I sat down and ordered the number 39. Which according to the menu, is beef noodle soup with rare flank meat. I was served something that looked like beef noodle soup with hairy onions. I soon realized that what I was served was not the number 39, but the number 38 which combined a bunch of different meats and tripe as well. After realizing this, I was disappointed, but not totally turned off. I just removed the pieces of meat that I didn't like. There were no spices or flavorings set on the table, nor were any provided to me, so because the servers don't ask you how everything is, I had to go to another empty table and remove the seasonings myself. After seasoning my soup, I went ahead and tasted it. The noodles were completely stale! It tasted like I was given week old noodles with beef broth. I should have known by the speed with which my soup was actually ordered and delivered to me. I only took a few bites and just could not continue to eat anymore of the soup. I'm disappointed because this place was a go to lunch spot for me when I am at work especially in the fall and winter months when cold and illnesses abound. Nothing is more satisfying than a good bowl of soup when you're not feeling well. I don't think that I will be patronizing this establishment any longer. The subpar service can be excused, however the taste of the food and the effort they put into providing fresh meals is what is upsetting. They made little to no effort to give me even a mediocre bowl of soup, and it showed. I will not be back. read more

Several of our friends met up to eat dinner here. The pho was stingy on meat. The only difference between a medium pho and a large pho was the large was in a bigger bowl with more soup. We also ordered the summer rolls for appetizer. There were probably 2 extremely thin shreds of pork in each roll. Biting into the roll was like biting into a head of lettuce. The peanut sauce was pretty good though. Their boba smoothies: the waiter was utterly confused as to what flavors they have and don't have. I eventually ordered the strawberry. The boba is sparse and undercooked (hard). The smoothie/slushie part tasted like watered down slushie with pink food coloring. No trace of strawberry taste. I got the vermicilli with bbq pork. The vermicilli came out sticky and mushy. The sauce that was supposed to go on it was tasteless, even after dumping the whole thing in. The pork that was in there was of very poor quality, extremely fatty... im talking about like.. 60% of the pork was fat. Overall, distgusting and disappointing. I've had much better elsewhere. Service was bad and slow for vietnemese food. Food was bad and of poor quality. I would stick with going to Lowell, chinatown, or Le's in newton. read more

We love pho and have been to many pho places all over the US. This place is small, ( maybe seats 30 max) very cold and plain atmosphere, but a very good soup and an interesting menu with many other Asian dishes although we did not get to try any. Sunday afternoon lunch filled up quickly and the service was good. read more

The pho here is pretty good, but the menu is not just about pho. There's a Thai influence to it and while I've eaten here a few times, nothing has really knocked my socks off in terms of something I'd have to order over and over again. VERY good Vietnamese food and extremely good prices for the quality/amount of food that you get. After trying a few Vietnamese places in Boston, I honestly cannot believe that a hole-in-the-wall location in Woburn has most if not all of them beat. Although they may be under-staffed and although it may take more than a hot minute to get your main dish, the small wait is well worth it (in plus, you can get delicious appetizers for $3.99 if you're super famished). Not a fancy location, and not extremely cramped either, this restaurant is a great choice if you're looking for fresh, highly flavorful, very well-priced authentic cuisine. I highly recommend and I personally will be going back for their amazing pho and noodle dishes. read more

Not a bad little joint. Good prices and decent food. I order the pork larb when I'm there and it's always good, maybe just a little too much purple onion, but otherwise tasty. I experienced the lack of a/c in the summer once as well. They turned it on after we walked in, which took until the end of the meal to cool off a little in there. Still, it's better than most of the places I've tried in Chinatown and Boston. It can get noisy in there during lunch thouhg. I consider myself a regular here. The food is consistently good, and the prices are very reasonable. Best Dishes: Thai Calamari (Spicy, Salty Squid) Beef Pho Vermicelli North Woburn Pad Thai Mango Tofu Curry They get very busy at times, so if you've been waiting for a while or in a hurry, don't be afraid to speak up! The people who work here are very nice (and hardworking). I do wish someone would help them with their color choices though. If I remember correctly, the wall is painted this awful blue and pink. OMG. Was not expecting this place at all. We ordered the crepe appetizer and thought it would be a tiny thing - it was a meal in and of itself! The serving sizes were large, but the food was also amazing - the broth was extremely flavorful. This little hole in the wall is probably one of my favorite restaurants now! Just be sure to get there early - we came in at about 11:30 and got our food quickly. This place is pretty good. There's not much like this around, so it gets plenty of business. It's always jammed at lunch time, but I didn't have to wait too long for a table for one. I've only had the Pho here, but it's solidly okay. Today's Tai Pho was just okay. Just in from California for a week. I live in Oakland and have lived in Stockton, so I'm used to pretty good Pho. I took my brother-in-law to lunch here and we both had the rare beef noodle soup. I order from Pho #1 every Thursday (for the last 3 months). The food is really good and for $13 I get soup, app and a meal. My favorites are the chicken satay, N. Woburn Pad Thai, Sriracha trio and Tom Yum soup....depending on my mood. The employees are friendly and the man who delivers my food is always smiling. The only reason I took a star away is almost every time my order is missing something. I would say maybe 5 times out of 10 the order is right. Wonton soup was very tasty (not like those hot water with wonton) and Chicken Ginger was perfectly spiced: healthy (a lot if veggies) tender chicken parts and great sauce. I go here a few times a month during work for lunch. It's a nice place. I always get the same thing: the Tai Pho, and it is consistently good. If you go for lunch, I recommend going either early or late, it can get pretty crowded in the small place during peak lunchtime hours. If you go with more than 1 other person, the restaurant can sometimes mess up the timing of your order. Sometimes someone in our party has to wait 10-15 minutes for their food after the rest of us get ours. read more

Decided to try this place because of the positive reviews. We arrived around 8:30pm. I was surprised they closed @ 9:30 for a Saturday evening. I almost always order the same dish no matter where we go for Vietnamese food. So again, I ordered vermicelli (bun) w/pork, fried spring roll, & shrimp. The vermicelli was a bit over cooked. The shrimp didn't look too appetizing. It was also over cooked & rubbery. At least the shredded lettuce was not wilted. My friend ordered a Thai salmon entree along w/rice that came w/fried spring rolls & shu mai appetizers. My husband ordered the pho. They both seemed to have enjoyed their meal. Would I go back? Most likely I wouldn't because I wasn't too impressed. My husband & I usually go to Pho 88 in Lowell to fulfill our Vietnamese cravings. We often order take-out. Their portions are quite generous!! I guess it's hard to find a good Vietnamese restaurant that's closer to us. The 50 minute drive to & from is well worth it!!! read more

One of my favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is nothing special, but the yummy and affordable food makes up for it easily. It's more of a take-out type venue anyway. I don't think I've ever had something there that I didn't like, and I've been there many times, including with family, and I tried their food too. The chicken soup is wonderful, and was a lifesaver when I was sick and nothing else in the world sounded good. If you're looking for consistently good food at a decent price, this is the place. read more

Extremely delicious food in a very strange location. It's really easy to miss when you are driving from the Freeway. Just keep your eye on the left side. The Pho Ga and the Chicken Bun were extremely awesome. Family owned business, super friendly and prompt service. I will go back again. read more
