Strawberry matcha with no added sugar because the strawberry puree is already sweetened
Sarah T.

Thank you Philiz coffee for bringing back my favorite black coffee! So happy that Philharmonic back!! The hint of cardamom makes this drink so easy to devour. Plus the new tiramisu and matcha menu keeps me coming back every week! If you get on the Philz coffee App, you can have a free upgrade. Sometimes it will send you $1 off through the app that keeps me coming back.

I Love the mint mojito coffee! Baristas are very nice and make sure our drinks come out how we like them

Philz Coffee is a pretty rad place. The decor is a modern vibe with tables & chairs. There was plenty of outdoor seating. The employees are friendly and were very helpful when my sister needed to use the outdoor restroom. She ordered a large Coffee Rosé. It's a smooth and sweet iced coffee topped with a subtle rose cream. It didn't take too long for her coffee. Her name was called out and they hand us our coffee without a lid. There are lids available right at the hand off if you want one. As far as the bathroom goes... it is located outside the Coffee shop. There are three stalls for the women's bathroom. Every stall was out of toilet paper. Luckily, the men's bathroom was empty and the bathroom key worked for that one, too. So I slipped in real quick and got my sister some toilet paper. I noticed they had some good options available, too. Bagels with cream cheese, sandwiches, a burrito. I can't wait to come back and try these! The coffee was super delicious! Amazing customer service! My sister found a Dimond in the rough of Sacramento!

I like stopping by here occasionally before work or during the workday. The staff is friendly, and ordering through the app makes the process convenient and easy. My go-to drink is the Mint Mojito, and the baristas I've had so far make it consistently well. I also appreciate that they let you taste it first to make sure you're satisfied before putting the lid on.

I came here with a friend who lives nearby. I don't usually drink coffee so got their mocha latte equivalent. The service was quick and friendly with a nice casual vibe inside. I really enjoyed my iced coffee.

Philz Coffee is the best! They have the best iced coffees. You cannot get better-tasting iced coffees elsewhere. Their Tiramisu, Honey Haze and Mint Mojito are delicious.

My favorite coffee shop all in Sacramento. My family got the tiramisu, caramel coconut, salted butterscotch ice latte. 10/10 for all the drinks. I'm not even exaggerating. It was that good! It was pretty pack, but drinks came out at a decent time. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seatings. Parking can be difficult in this area during busier hours. Staffs were friendly and welcoming. I didn't finish my drink right away but even after a few hours and the drink was no longer cold and watered down by melted ice ; it tasted amazing. My coffee taste buds were super happy.

My first time and they did not disappoint! Located in the ice blocks. Convenient parking and ample amount of seating inside. The employees were very nice and knowledgeable of menu. Came in and ordered a ginger snap. Definitely a drink I would return for every time!

This was suggested by my daughter as The place for coffee in California, even above better buzz which I was skeptical of. The service was friendly and polite, barista asked if it was perfect and if not what could he do to make perfect - personal touch like this is a level people should take note of I'll return for sure

I stopped by Philz Coffee on R St in Sacramento and had a great experience. This laid-back local coffee spot is known for its custom-blended coffees, and you can really tell they care about the quality of what they serve. They also offer teas, specialty drinks, and a nice selection of pastries. The ambience is wonderful--very cozy and relaxed, making it a great place to sit and enjoy your drink. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, which is perfect depending on the weather or your mood. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and made the experience even better. It's the kind of place that feels comfortable whether you're meeting a friend, working for a bit, or just stopping in for a great cup of coffee. Popular for breakfast and lunch, it's also a great spot for solo dining. The comfortable atmosphere and seating make it ideal if you want to bring your laptop and get some work done while enjoying a great cup of coffee. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're in Sacramento! Doris S.

THE BIG: Located in Midtown of downtown Sacramento. This coffee joint is right off of the light rail that passes through. Tall ceilings and plenty of indoor/outdoor space. Few street parking spots available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: Whenever I travel and there's a Philz Coffee around, I always go and seek it out. This was only a twenty minute walk from my hotel and Sacramento is beautiful in the spring. Walking in, the space is big and spacious. The only downside to my experience is that one cashier is working which slows things up, while there were four baristas. It wasn't too busy but my coffee still took around 15 minutes to make and it's just a normal black blend. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall a cup of philtered soul coffee was around $6 and a coffee bag will set you back around $20. I always have a bag of philtered soul in my house if that shows my dedication to Philz.

I was midtown and wanted an alternative to Starbucks which I love. I searched on 'coffee nearby' and chose them, I came years ago. Ambiance It is modern, spacious and clean. Midtown vibe. Customer Service Sincere pleasant customer service. Some drinks recommended. Coffee Jacob's Wonderbar Very rich profound tasting coffee, hints of chocolate. Will definitely return.

Their coffee is so delicious! I tried their caramel banana brew and I wish I could relive the first sip. I'm usually not a coffee girl, but this is the perfect blend for someone who loves that coffee taste, but has a pack of sweetness to it. Elizabeth was so kind and welcoming , and helped me find just what I needed.

Where do they get their pastries?

The server said the chicken fried steak was really good, so that was my choice. I thought that I would also enjoy the pork sausage gravy served on top of it since I love biscuit and gravy. I was quite disappointed in my choice because the steak as very tough, and dry, like it was not made in-house but probably frozen, and deep fried in house. The generous serving of gravy on top was lacking any flavor and was on the pasty side, so it didn't help the steak in any way. My toast was cold, which was not too much an issue, but the hardness of the toast was like day old left over toast. I told the server the steak was pretty tough but he chose to ignore my comment twice. I did like the potatoes, which were nice and crispy, but if anything, would've like a fresher piece of toast. One of our guest gave me her butter and that did not spread well on the hard toast. I took the steak home, and heated it a little because I was still hungry, but after one bite, I just tossed it. Just wasn't good. The guest next to me did order the omelette, and her omelette did look very good. I was just unhappy with my meal, for the price, which would've been worth it, if it were good.

Our waitress came over shortly after. I see a lot of mixed reviews about the service, and I think some staff members are friendlier and more outgoing than others, but even the less friendly servers were still attentive, helpful, and quick. I think it just depends on who you get and whether you value a really friendly interaction or care more about the food and basic service. We tried a cappuccino since the host said they make all their coffee in-house, and it was pretty good, especially coming from someone who doesn't drink coffee. We chose the fried green tomatoes as our starter, and they were delicious. I'd never had them before but had always heard how iconic of a Southern dish they are. They were really well balanced with the aioli and feta, and the tomatoes themselves were juicy and fresh. I had to go with the shrimp po' boy, which was also really good. The shrimp were pretty big and tasted fresh, complemented well by the really light, airy, buttery bread and fresh vegetables inside. The fries were also a plus! I enjoyed everything I ordered and would definitely come back to try some other things. I will say it was a bit pricey for brunch for two people, with the bill coming out to around $80 with tip. I guess that's just the day and age we live in now, though. I thought the portions were decently sized. Not as huge as your typical diner portions, but still large enough that you could probably expect some leftovers.
