This is a great Philz location to get some work done! My go to coffee is the mint mojito, but I also like the chai here as well! The cashiers and baristas are all really friendly and helpful! They have a good amount of seating and free wifi. It does get really busy on the weekend, so I recommend coming early if you want a seat. The downside is parking. I recommend trying to find street parking because the parking structure is so expensive. read more

This Philz location is a great option in Pasadena that I've been to quite a bit. Sometimes I just pop in and other times, I hang out for awhile. They have a bunch of indoor seating and their outdoor seating is perfect. They have a cute little courtyard full of sunshine you can work or study in! Last time I was there, some guy started recording me while I was sitting there which was weird...but he was just some rando and not associated with the biz, lol. But anyways, the outdoor seating is real cool. I'm a fan of coming here to work in the afternoons with a coffee in hand. Staff is always friendly and really prompt. Philz Coffee is always reliable. I know I'm going to have good coffee at a good price whenever I go here. This location did not disappoint delivering the rich, creamy caffeine I'm accustomed to. I'm us no idea the Philz coffeee existed! I'm so glad it does because I finally had the mint mojito post partum and boy was it a treat! I did decaf but it was still delicious! Wish I would have gotten another one for tomorrow! It was super packed when I got there! It looks like the spot to study or have a quick meeting! I ordered from the app, and unfortunately it only allowed 4 drinks at a time. I ordered 8 drinks so I just made two different orders. I assume it was so that the workers didn't have to deal with large orders like that. Who knows, but it all worked out. I believe my first barista was Alexandria. I really like the coffee and pastries at Philz, but the level of service is consistently apathetic. While at the register waiting to give my order the cashier simply takes one order then leaves the front to go to the back and tells us she'll be right with us. No sense of urgency and honestly it didn't look like she was doing anything important in the back. Eventually after waiting over five to ten minutes another worker comes and takes our order. The original girl at the register who had us wait comes back not doing much moving a cinnamon shaker from the front to the back and then after five minutes clocks off. It was clear she was nearing the end of her shift and stopped caring to take customer orders. This isn't the first time this has happened. Seems like a group of twenty something young girls with no sense of responsibility work here. Overall, the two medium coffees beverages we ordered were okay. The place was crowded and we waited about 25 in total for our drinks (given those who ordered after us were reviving our drinks, perhaps they forgot us at some point). I don't think that we would come back to this location unless we were visiting the surrounding shops and were dying for coffee. Ample bar seating and communal long table seating, but given how loud it was inside, one would definitely benefit from noise cancelling headphones if trying to study or get work done here. read more

There's a good amount of seating here with bar seating, and a huge table, as well as a good amount of outlets around. I got the large Honey Haze (creamy and sweet) and it is exquisite! I love that it's not too sweet but you can make it less sweet if wanted. There's also a large bench while you're waiting for your order. The cafe is a little messy with some trash on the cafe floor and bathrooms. I also got the Pork Sausage and Egg breakfast burrito and I was not a fan. I thought it was ok. Philz had never done me wrong, and this location is consistently great. Coffees are always tasty here, the employees are super cool and nice and the cafe is always clean. It's a relaxed environment here with several tables, a couch and WiFi. There was a fair number of people working on laptops when I went, so it's a popular spot for people getting work done. The first Philz Coffee that I had been to was in DTLA. This is the second one. I could say this much bigger and nicer. There was a long line when we came, but the staff works fast. It also has cozy ambiance. There's also a couple of outdoor sitting available. I ordered my usual favorite drink which is the Iced Mint Mojito. It smells and tastes sooo good. Philz and Klatch are my favorite coffee chain. My go to at Philz is usually Ecstatic but nowadays I've been trying a few new ones and they've all been pretty good. Since I've been drinking a lot of black coffee, I think some other good options are prob Julie's ultimate and Tesora. If I want something sweet then I would get Ecstastic. The plaza does get pretty busy but there is a pick up parking spot that you can park at so you can order online and then come pick it up. The people that worked there are usually very nice. I like this location in Pasadena. The food is always fresh and the drinks made to perfection. I ordered the chamomile tea and it's always on point! The service is always good and the baristas are very professional. I def recommend this Philz Coffee. It's located in the right spot located near so many good popular Pasadena restaurants. It's a lot of seating outside and indoor to enjoy your coffee. Very good ambiance to relax. Smaller than some of the other locations, but still nice. I will continue to come to this Philz. Parking is on the street and parking in the lots by the Counter burger restaurant. You do have to pay for some parking depending where you park. Love this space. The cashiers are always very chill. The baristas even ask me to taste the drink before putting on the lid to make sure it's fine with me. My favorite drink at the moment was recommended to me by the cashier: the Philtered soul with honey and oat milk. I am a huge Philz fan! (specifically for the mint mojito). I decided to come to this location to get some work done since this is the closest location next to me. Parking is ok if you decide to spend a while here. Most street parking in Pasadena is paid/max of an hour or 2. If you're looking to drop by really quick & pick up some coffee, they have 3 minute parking spots in the back. There's also a parking structure near it, in the back but is $2/each 20 mins or a $15 flat fee for the whole day. Service is quick & friendly. There's a few seating areas along the sides & a huge common table with a decent amount of outlets on the side of the table. Wifi works great. read more

I remember about a decade ago Philz only had stores in Norcal; my first time trying Philz was in San Jose and I really enjoyed their signature mint mojito. If you are going there for the first time and want to try a unique iced drink, you can't go wrong with their mint mojito! Fast forward, there are now multiple stores in Socal whoo hoo! I love how they do pourover and each cup is brewed fresh! I rotate between their dark and medium roasts. I get a hot brew with their creamy cream option. You can customize the milk/cream and sugar/sweetener options and ratio. I also get the green chili breakfast burrito with hot sauce. The burrito is small and filled with egg, potatoes, cheese and green chile. It will hit the spot if you are looking for a quick bite. I usually order through their mobile app and the drinks/food are always on time. I park at the 3 min green curb located in the back. The baristas are always nice. But now in my advanced age (i'm 23) I've picked up a penchant for black coffee. The workers at Philz are so nice that when I asked for recommendations, I was moved to order their house coffee the dark roast Jacob's Wonderbar. When I tried it and realized it wasn't for me, they were more than happy to replace with my usual favorite the Philtered Soul. Honorary mention to their Honey Haze, a drink I ordered once when they ran out of mint that stays on my mind more frequently than I care to admit for its mild flavor and creamy texture that coats the inside of your mouth.
