Amazing!!! A super hole in the wall place, great prices and hot hot food that comes out with good servings. Owner was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. Enjoyed the food and scarfed down the fries that came with it. Hot and cold sandwiches are a must in SD!

I've driven by this place a few times on my way to work and finally decided to stop in. The owner was super cool and gave great customer service. Being our first time here, we were warmly greeted and the menu was explained to us. The menu has plenty to choose from, but we came specifically for the Original Philly Steak. I've never had lettuce or tomato on a Philly before, but it was actually a nice touch! The onions added flavor, though I would've loved a bit more seasoning and maybe some peppers for that full Philly vibe. For the price I had hope for more in terms of flavor and juiciness of the meat. The cheese was good and had a great melt but it wasn't enough to add to moistness of sandwich. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to ask customers if they'd like mayo or a house sauce on their sandwich or on the side since the bread is quite hearty. The fries were definitely a highlight -- fresh, crispy, and cooked to order. The also have other sides including chips, macaroni salad etc. see menu in photos The ambiance is laid-back with a chill vibe, and the 70s-90s classics playing in the background made the experience even better. The space can easily accommodate small to medium groups. Prices are moderate, but hey, it's steak. Next time I'll be trying the Works Philly Steak, which sounds like the traditional Philly with a twist (hello, mushrooms!). Checking out if you're in the area! I'm giving a 4 star because customer service.

#1 the works, no lettuce or tomato, corn dog.

Over 45 minutes plus wait for food. Absolutely ridiculous and ruined my lunch. I have 1 hour I came here with my girlfriend, she ordered fries and a corn dog ($6 mind you). Still, 45 long grueling minutes. One cook, two stand arounds. Came on a Friday, had about 4 people in front of me. Subpar customer service. Cold bread, not toasted. Quality meat, if it weren't for the customer service, I'd go back.

This supposed to have mayo, lettuce and tomato and of course cheese.

Very bad food. Nothing like we ordered. Waste of $50 with uber. Saggy bread nothing just meat that taste like cardboard

Philly Steak with onions, mushrooms, green peppers, and jalapeños + provolone

Photos are from two separate occasions showing how great the consistency is here. I love this place, Owner is super cool, they get local fresh bread daily, high quality meat, hot and fresh every time. This place is delicious highly recommended to anyone who loves a good Philly. They also have a full deli menu! I've only tried a hot pastrami which was also . Great food and service, will continue to come back

This is the old school best place in EC for a Philly cheese steak. They will customize it however you like and we did the works w mayo and avo on the side. Simply delish, try the steak fries cause they're a meal by themselves.

Works sandwich. 10/10

Absolutely delicious sandwich. Stepping inside the store made me feel like I was in Philly. "The works" was incredible and great sized portion for the money. I will definitely be back.

Passed by the place a couple times, finally stopped and this place did not disappoint. I now stop every chance I get, and every time it's 10 out 10, people who work there are super friendly. Definitely recommend giving it a try!

Burnt bread

Great service but I get home and the bread is burned making it so the sub tastes burned! The beef and the rest has a good taste but was overpowered by the burnt taste unfortunately. Also I know you know the bread is too burnt to give to a customer, it was a simple fix but noticed when I got home

I've been craving a Philly for the last 3 days (I'm pregnant) and because my friend was gonna visit me and they were in that area I asked if they could bring me a cheesesteak based on the reviews. I'm a big fan of Philly Cheesesteaks so I have high expectations. Took the first bite & I didn't really taste any seasoning, the meat was dry and even the veggies didn't have much flavor. I added some salt & onion powder and it made a bit of a difference. I've never had lettuce or tomatoes in my cheesecakes before so it kinda threw me off. I do give it 2 stars only because I did order fries and those were actually pretty good! They were thick and they were still very crunchy, I really appreciated that part of my meal. Maybe the person making my sandwich didn't add enough seasoning but overall I don't think I would personally come here

I ordered the Sky Park Sandwich on Wheat. It comes with EverRoast Boar's Head sliced chicken breast, Pepper Jack Cheese, and bacon. You can add more ingredients if you like off a list. I added red onions, tomatoes, and lettuce with oil and vinegar for $13.49 plus tax. You can choose from a little side of macaroni or potato salad. The sandwich was very good, but they did add alfalfa sprouts in the sandwich. There must have been a miscommunication when I said now way to the sprouts. I picked out the most I could. The deli chicken was very tasty and so was the Pepper Jack Cheese. I liked the wheat bread but it was a little on the dry side. I expected it to be a little moister, but it did tasty good. Overall, the sand was good. The service was good, too. The young man did a good job explaining the process and did a good job putting the sandwich together with the exception of the sprouts. The older gent, who I learned was his grandfather, was very friendly. The deli is inside a liquor store. They offer three tables out in front with chairs.

They have everything from hot sandwiches and cold sandwiches to salads, wraps, and even breakfast items. You can order at the counter or on the kiosk. I ordered on the kiosk. Simple and quick. I ordered the wild-caught salmon sandwich with salmon, arugula, and garlic aioli. The salmon was cooked perfectly. They were a little skimpy on the aioli, so the sandwich was kind of dry, but it was still good. I also got a side of fries, and those shoestring fries were nice and crispy. Prices are reasonable, and there's seating both inside and outside. Shout out to Crystal. I don't know if she's the manager, but she definitely cares about quality customer service. Someone ordered the Green Beret sandwich, and it was brought out on toasted bread when apparently it wasn't supposed to be. She immediately went to the counter and let the cooks know about it. A few bites into my half, I noticed mold on the side of my sandwich. By that point, she had already eaten about half of hers. I called immediately. After several holds and back-and-forth, I was told they couldn't refund a single item, and that the owner said I could drive back to pick up cash. I explained I was at work and moving to Temecula in two days. I wasn't rude, I was patient through every hold. I've worked in food service. If this ever happened where I worked, we would have refunded the entire order and done whatever it took to make it simple for the customer. The owner offered to drive the cash to my house, which I declined, I didn't want a stranger at my door, and honestly, it wasn't about the money. My pregnant wife ate moldy food. Not once did anyone ask if she was okay or acknowledge that this was a health concern. I never received a refund. I just expected basic accountability, apparently that was too much to ask.

The customer service is always friendly, welcoming, and genuine -- the kind of neighborhood energy you just don't get everywhere anymore. It's not a huge space inside and the decor is a little outdated, but honestly that's part of the charm. This is a small business with a BIG impact, and the community clearly supports them because the food quality speaks for itself -- everything is fresh. My go-to order is the Big Chomp on a lettuce wrap when I'm trying to cut carbs but still want to be full. They split open a head of crisp iceberg lettuce and pack it with meats like turkey and beef, plus all the sandwich veggies -- onions, tomatoes, pickles -- and whatever condiments you want. It's crunchy, refreshing, and so satisfying that you honestly don't even miss the bread. Now when I'm extra hungry, their breads are fresh and the sandwiches are top-notch across the board. You really can't go wrong. Just a heads up -- they close at 3 PM daily, so if you're not there by then, you'll have to catch them another day. You can call ahead or stop in, but either way you won't be disappointed. PSA: Don't forget to grab a sandwich punch card. Rack up those punches and you'll earn a free sandwich. Thank me later

The service really stood out to me. Even though you order up front, the servers were very attentive and came by multiple times to check on us and offer drink refills, which you don't always get in this type of setup. I ordered the steak plate with mushrooms and mashed potatoes, and everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The mushrooms were especially good. The only small thing was I wish the food had been a little hotter when it came out, but the taste definitely made up for it. My only other note is I wish they had unflavored iced tea. All the options were flavored, and since I'm not a soda drinker, that would've been nice to have. Overall, such a great first visit. Great food, great service, and a really comfortable atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.
