The entire staff is amazing--super professional, the environment is very clean, and they have a beautiful, stylish selection of glasses. Dr. To recommended computer glasses for me, which had never been suggested during the years I went to Stein. I always felt my regular glasses were too strong when working close to my computer, since I sit pretty close to the screen and my nearsighted prescription made things uncomfortable at that distance. The computer glasses have made an incredible difference. I also switched to scleral contact lenses, and they've been a total game changer. My disposable contacts just don't compare--I used to experience some blurriness with them. Dr. To explained why that happens, and the staff walked me through how to properly care for the new lenses, including how to insert and remove them. I can't imagine going back to my old contacts now. The scleral lenses are extremely comfortable, stay in place, and are custom fit to my eyes. I highly recommend Dr. To.

I used to suffer from severe dry eye and was using rewetting eye drops multiple times a day. My primary optometrist, Dr. Mikaelian, diagnosed me with meibomian gland dysfunction and referred me for a series of dry eye treatments with Dr. Chiou. I met with Dr. Chiou in her Arcadia office. She was so sweet and walked me through my diagnosis and treatment process during the consultation. Dr. Chiou did some tests and took special pictures of my meibomian glands--the glands under my eyelids that produce tears. It turns out that my case is pretty severe and my eyes have stopped making the necessary tears to keep themselves lubricated. We planned out treatment and supplemental accessories. At Dr. Chiou's office, the set up is spa-like and the heat treatment is very comfortable. At all times, Dr Chiou made sure I felt at ease. Each treatment took about 30-40 minutes. Dr. Chiou also gently expressed my glands following each RF treatment. I did a total of 5 RF and the last treatment was in February. It has been 8 months and my eyes are still comfortably lubricated by my own tears (no more eye drops!). I am returning next month for more treatment as I have enjoyed the improvement to my eye health and am impressed by how passionate this team is about my eyes. Thank you Dr. Mikaelian and Dr. Chiou!

Her husband had surgery with Dr. Lu and was very satisfied. Coincidentally, both his office and the surgery center are in Arcadia, where I live. I had cataract surgery on my left eye on 2/16 and on my right eye yesterday, using an EDOF multifocal intraocular lens (paid out-of-pocket). Dr. Lu truly lived up to his reputation; he was very professional, explained things meticulously, and patiently answered all my questions. Both surgeries went very smoothly and successfully. Furthermore, Dr. Lu personally calls patients on the same day after each surgery to check on their progress. Although there are follow-up appointments the next day, his dedication and willingness to go the extra mile touched and reassured me. Dr. Lu is truly an outstanding doctor, highly trustworthy and recommended. I also want to especially mention Dr. Angela, the anesthesiologist at Specialty Medical Center, who was excellent. Her dosage and timing were very precise; I was unconscious and woke up to find the surgery already successfully completed. Praise the Lord, my vision is bright again; my eyesight has recovered very well on the first day after surgery.

Street parking in the area is plentiful but there is a small lot on the side as well. The interior is bright and immediately when you walk in, they have your paperwork ready and the staff was knowledgeable about your insurance, telling you upfront what the copay would be and what other payments you would be able to get today which I really appreciated. The appointment was on time, Dr. Boutros was easy going, friendly, and genuine to hear concerns and provide honest recommendations. I was able to leave with some contact lenses to test and she also provided a couple of single use eye drops because I noted sometimes my eyes get dry. I think I've found my go-to optometry and look forward to coming back.

I use to be pretty hard on my glasses (accidentally bending the frame every now and then) but Dr. M or one of his employees has happily reshaped them. I now have these flexi incredibly light glasses and the do not bend out of shape. I have not scratched them either. Of course when you spend a heap of money on a pair of glasses you don't stick them with no case in your pocket or your purse. I have sent many people here. I'm a fan.

After multiple visits, I still can't see decently through my latest pair of glasses. They've remade the lenses once, they've rechecked my prescription, they say everything is right but after weeks of trying to break in the new ones, I still see better through the old. And it wasn't cheap. I paid $700+ for glasses and frames only to still not be able to see. I really appreciate what they've done in the past for us, but I need to be able to see. The receptionist brings her toddler to work and doesn't supervise him, and he ended up slamming the exam room door open 3 (!) times during my eye exam. It was extremely distracting and slightly violating to have a small child run into the private exam room yelling over and over and they offered no apology. Dr. Shem was generally apathetic and not friendly. I get the sense she doesn't enjoy working with adults. The prescription she gave me was an entire 2 points different compared to the last one I got (the same one I've been getting my whole life), so I also question her accuracy. After arguing with the nurse just to give me a record of my prescription at the end of the appointment, they said they would order my contact lense trials in and give me a call. It has been months and I still have not received a call.
