Easy to make an appointment, good selection of glasses, and office staff is very helpful in explaining benefits with insurance, costs, etc. overall, has always been clean, organized and efficient. I recently took my daughter who does not currently wear glasses, but has developed some vision focusing symptoms and headaches. I was blown away by Doctors patience in understanding my daughter's concerns. Doctor is very knowledgeable and shows sincere concern to get down to the issue. She did a very thorough vision exam on her, while explaining the reasons for the, along the way. In the end, she was honest in suggesting other options are tried first before purchasing glasses. I appreciate businesses that are genuine about the well being of their patients, rather than making the money. I purchased my 3-year old son's prescription glasses here back in April. When my son went in for his follow-up with the ophthalmologist 4 months later, the doctor found out Infocus had filled both his lens incorrectly and the left Rx is way off. See photo. I was so upset that this happened to my son and he also complained of headaches while wearing these glasses. The glasses Rx is a medical prescription that is supposed to be filled exactly. When I told Infocus, they ordered the new lens and told me that the doctor entered the numbers incorrectly into the system when they transposed from ophthalmology to optometry prescription. This is not a good excuse as this conversion is a standard and common procedure that they perform. They should implement checks into their process so this doesn't happen again. As compensation for their negligence, they remade both lens for free... even though both were done incorrectly! Again, my son is only 3. I'm very concerned he wore the wrong Rx during a critical time of eye development. No matter what age, be careful getting your prescription glasses here. There are many other stores with proper checks and better customer service. read more

I scratched my cornea over the weekend and my vision was super blurry in that eye. On Monday morning I called them and they were able to see me the same day. Appointments are always accommodating and she and her staff are always on time, friendly very courteous staff. The office is always clean and fully stocked with an array of glasses and shades to fit any and everyone's needs. It's in a great location right off the 210 freeway a few yards away from Santa Anita race track and mall. Today May was there to assist Dr.Vivian. Wow, we are very impressed with this center. Me and my 2 young daughters made an appointment to do a regular eye exam. Found this office through the list provided by my insurance company. The receptionist and Dr Vivian Shih are both superb...way exceeded my expectations. I thought for the 3 of us, our exam should last maybe 15-20 min each so 1 hour should be more than enough right? Boy was I wrong. We were there for 1.5 hours! Dr Shih is so thorough, friendly and made great suggestions on how we can keep/improve our vision. Went InFocus today with my wife and we were the very first appointment of the day. The process was easy and simple they have a nice clean business safe and secure. They have many protocols to keep all there customers at ease and safe actually before covid even happened they were already safe I just feel extra safe. There selection of eye ware is amazing so many choices to fit everyone's personnel style. There located in the heart of Arcadia off the 210 freeway near goldmine station. Rosie has good taste for glasses so look for her she's a great person. Also Dr.V is just as sweet and humble so easy to talk to. There prices are reasonable and they accept insurance. I did a search for optometrists in my city and this place came up. I decided to look into it more on yelp and saw that every review was a 5 star, when I scheduled an appointment and walked in the office was very pleasant. They have a wide variety of very nice frames, but mostly name brand. The staff is extremely nice, and informative. Corina is the sweetest at the front desk. Both Dr. Emily Wang & Dr. Vivian Shih are great! I was scheduled with Dr. Wang, and I'm happy with that. She is by far the most informed eye doctor I've ever visited! I've been to Lens Crafters a number of times and never ever received the experience and treatment that I did here, I've also been to Vision Max in Baldwin Park but I won't be going back there ever. I'm here to stay at InFocus :). Keep in mind that this is all a process and you will have to visit a couple times if you're getting fitted for contacts. They have great updated technology here, and it's a very comfortable environment for all. Don't be afraid to ask questions either it's their job to know. read more

Originally they said 10 days, then another week, then another week and TWICE promising that the office manager would call me back. Updated review. Very disappointed with Dr. Wang and how she treated me on the phone and in person when I called to let her know that the sun glasses with the progressive lenses were not working out for me. On my original appointment she told me that it would take about a week for my eyes to adjust to this prescription and that I could return them no problem as well as her employees that helped me that day. When I called In Focus and Dr. Wang picked up the phone, I told her I was going to return the glasses after wearing them for a week since they weren't working out for me. She seemed upset and her whole attitude changed. She asked me how I was going to be able to watch TV? I thought with sunglasses? I thought this was a strange thing to ask. She asked if I wanted bifocals and I said no. I just need plain old prescription sun glasses and that I would be returning them shortly that day. She then said that she wouldn't be there by the time I came in. That was fine since they were still open and someone else could help me. When I walked in and was being helped by her male employee I see her and see runs out the door like she's in a hurry. She comes back in and tells her employee to give me a single lens prescription for the glasses I was returning. She wouldn't make eye contact with me and did not even acknowledge that I was there.. I won't be returning to InFocus. Patients beware if you ever need to return your glasses for any reason. read more

Dr. Wang was recommend by a family and a friend 8-9 years ago. My husband I used to live in Duarte so we went to her because it was convenient also. That's not the main reason anymore after we went to see her the first time ... Now, we see her yearly and will never go to another eye doctor because she is just: attentive (listens for sure), personable, nice... And many many more positive traits as a doctor and human being. If you wear contact lenses for nearsightedness, and are at an age when nearsightedness is also becoming an issue, InFocus offers a type of contact lens that using different corrections in different concentric circles s that both can be corrected without the headache inducing approach of different types of correction for different eyes. this has really made my life easier as I no longer need reading glasses! My problem is not seeing clearly in small fine objects and sometimes my vision is burry. I was concern what's going on. Dr. Shih was very helpful to address my concern. She carefully exam my eyes and explain the results. She addresses my concern very thoroughly, in terms of eye strain, headaches, blurred vision because of spending an extended amount of time on particular task at work. She assures my eyes are normal under the circumstance, and suggesting how to improve my vision. That's good to know. I greatly appreciate her patience and her knowledge keeping me informed. She and her staffs are very approachable and helpful. I have seen quite a few Optometrist, by far they are best in town. And this town only has a very few Optometrists can be so professional. If I could give this office 10 stars, I would. Let me start by saying I have seen both Dr. Wang and Shih. They are both amazing. Seriously great personalities, they make you feel comfortable and cared for the whole exam. Each part of the exam was explained and never rushed. The timing is good here too, I have never had to wait around. Even my 3 & 5 year olds love coming to the office. Equipment is state of the art, office recently renovated and looks great! We love Suzy! She is so sweet and patient. She thoroughly explains the testing and results. My favorite thing about this office is that I trust them. I have never felt a pushy, upselling vibe. Dr. Vivian Shih is AMAZING! I went to see her today and she was not only thorough in our appointment, but she is super nice as well! She left no detail unexplained, which I am so grateful for because I've woefully neglected my eyes my entire life. She assured me that I had not damaged them at all (I was worried that I ruined my eyes because I wear cheap readers from CVS!), and she explained what cataracts are, what glaucoma is and how these things happen. I was one of those people who laid in bed at night thinking that I caused glaucoma and cataracts because I wear cheap readers. Whew! I feel SO relieved that I've not damaged my eyes, and now I have so much information about these two disorders that I am no longer afraid. Knowledge is power, and Dr. Shih has armed me with knowledge in clear terms that I would not otherwise have. THANK YOU Dr. Shih! Oh, also the staff is super friendly, super efficient and knowledgeable, and they disinfect THOROUGHLY because of Covid. You do not have to be afraid of coming here. If you touch anything, it gets disinfected, so I was able to relax when I tried on frames and put my face in the various machines that they use to check your vision. I have been coming here for over 6 years now each time it's been a great experience. They are always super quick about getting my glasses or contact l. I have a very difficult perscription. I use to get constant migraines and once I came in here and got glasses and contacts those issues went away. Not only are the drs amazing the staff is very friendly l.
