We've had both Dr. Dang and Dr. Cao for separate visits. Both were professional and were engaging with our young son. They took their time and the appointment did not feel rushed. Both explained the testing that was performed and results well. Their office is clean and always smells nice. I would and have recommended them to other families. Docking off star as they charged $40 for a 'custom fit' transparent sticker to place over your lens for patching. Something you can get at hobby lobby and cut yourself for a couple bucks or buy off of Amazon for 10/$9. Type in translucent eye patch for glasses. On a Saturday morning in November,I read good reviews so I made an appointment here for eye exam. Plenty of parking below and took elevator up to 2nd floor. The lobby is small with some glasses. The staff are nice and friendly and waited for few seconds. Then I did the partial exam with the assistant. Top notch equipment which made my exam goes smoothly, Next I met with Dr Cao and she was very nice and friendly. She answered my questions and checked my vision. I normally don't leave negative reviews, but parents should be aware of our experience here. This office preliminarily diagnosed my son with strabismus and immediately recommended an evaluation and vision therapy. I was told the evaluation could cost up to $400 if multiple sessions were needed, and that vision therapy would cost $800 per month, paid upfront, cash only. They explained this wasn't covered by insurance because it was a "specialty service." When I called my insurance company directly, I learned that these services are covered -- this office simply chooses not to bill insurance. That was a red flag for me. I took my son for a second opinion at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, where he was seen by a pediatric ophthalmologist (an actual MD) and an orthoptist (who specializes in strabismus). After a very thorough evaluation, they confirmed that my son does not have strabismus and does not need vision therapy. Parents -- please don't just accept what this office tells you. If you are advised to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for "vision therapy," run and get a second opinion from a pediatric ophthalmologist. You may save yourself a lot of money, stress, and unnecessary worry. read more

Facility: Some might think I'm weird but I judge a facility by the cleanliness of their restrooms. Happy to report that theirs is SO clean every visit and always replenished (: Upon entry, there's a spacious waiting room with seats & a wide variety of eyewear display to check out while you wait. Service: The front desk ladies are always so friendly and personable! They always happily greet my husband and I at every appointment and will work with you in every way to ensure we set up/reschedule the next appointment or find/answer any questions we may have. We also had to order a specific type of glasses that they didn't have available in office, and it took some time to get. We didn't mind but it was the first time a doctors office reached out to us FIRST with updates and even apologized for the delay. That degree of service and commitment to detail is absolutely unheard of these days. They gained lifetime loyal patients! Dr. Cao: She is truly an angel on earth! I feel like so many doctors treat their practice like a business. They try to squeeze in as many patients in a day and you always seem to leave feeling rushed and unfulfilled. I'm so happy that I found a Optometry closer to my place. I used to drive to Whittier for my old optometry. Upon going to my first appointment with Dr. Judy Cao, I didn't realize her brand new office was at a newly built medical office building in the heart of San Gabriel Valley. It's so up to date with all her new eye center equipment and new eye glasses and sunglasses. I made an appointment with her staff a week ago. One of her staff called me to remind me about my appointment and told me I can fill out my new patient forms online. When I went to my appointment it saved me time filling out the forms. Dr. Judy Cao was so detailed and very sweet giving me advice and follow ups on my eye exam. I felt well taken care of and her staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable about their service and eyes glasses. They also told me I can look online if I'm not happy with any if their products. The doctor gets 5 stars, the staff gets 1 star. I am posting this so the customers know what to expect. The doctor was excellent in giving me a thorough eye exam. She spent lots of time with me, went through all the possible tests, answered all my questions, and made recommendations on other things I am considering. I would say she is one of the best in my area. New glasses were ordered and the male staff told me it would take 2 to 3 weeks, he also said I would get a notification. Well, I did not get any notification, and when I called at the end of the 3 week period, the male staff said the glasses are "probably" in. I asked what does that mean exactly? Are they in or not? He checked and said the glasses came in a week and a half ago and they did notify me by text. I said I did not receive such text. He checked again, and said oh there was a failure during sent. I then question why they didn't send me a follow up, he just said well the glasses are here, and offered no apologies. I think the staff's attitude was terrible and doesn't know what customer service means. They should have resend the notification or call me at the minimum, and apologize when they discovered the error and oversight. The staff even seemed annoyed when I questioned him. This may be the reason why I would not go to this place again... for sure not to order glasses, as long as this guy is there! read more

Dr. Cao really is amazing. I had a emergency eye issue 2 days ago and really needed to be seen. She immediately saw me and could not be sweeter, more professional and compassionate. She was gentle and explained everything to me step by step as she was examining my eye. She spent time answering my questions, showing me how to apply ointment in my eye and followed up with me later in the day. Dr. Cao is also a pediatric optometrist, so if anyone is looking for an optometrist for their little one, this is where to go. My nephew is almost 5 and started coming here right when she opened. He typically has a hard time with doctors but he really warmed up to Dr. Cao and I know it's because of how she gets down on the child's level to work with them. I mean this figuratively and literally... she will lay out a clean mat and get on the floor to make the child comfortable. It can be scary during COVID-19 times, but I can really vouch for this office's protocol. Her office is modern and chic and extremely clean. She is staggering appointments to allow for ample time to sanitize everything in between patients. I was the only patient in the office during my appointment time. I must say Dr. Cao...hands down has the most patience with kids. Every other Optometrist we've taken them before to had a full day schedule booked up and rushed to see the next patient. Dr. Cap on the other hand made sure she booked enough time to see both our children, fully examined their eyes (also kid friendly ways) and praised them after by giving them prizes. The office is extremely clean and follows all Covid guidelines. Upon walking in, the atmosphere felt very calm as you are then welcomed by the staff at the front. Got my second dry eye treatment today with Dr. Cao and I loved it! It's like getting an awesome hot stone massage for my eyes. Took my kids here for an eye exam and we were so happy with our visit! The staff practiced safety protocols, had us check in while in the parking lot, and checked our temperatures upon arrival. The office is clean and has a nice open layout. Their equipments were advance and up to date. The staff was friendly and definitely made the children feel comfortable. Dr Judy Cao was thorough with the exam and explained questions I had during the process. She was also super sweet and very patient with my children. As parents to a child that was recently diagnosed with amblyopia on both eyes, we were devastated and was on a mission to find the best care provider to treat his condition. We went through a total of 4 consultations with different providers and was not satisfied with the treatment plans that were laid out until we met Dr. Cao. Dr. Cao was very gentle with her approach and was able to explain the condition in layman terms. She had a treatment plan that we were very comfortable with. She takes her time to explain her recommendation and we knew almost right away that she would be the one we will commit too. After a few months of treatments, we witnessed our son's vision go from 60/60 to 20/40 (treatments are still ongoing and we are hopeful our son can achieve 20/20). We can't thank her enough! It is also a huge plus that our son felt so comfortable with her right away. The staff is always so polite and welcoming. They try to make us feel comfortable by offering refreshments and snacks. They are accommodating with time and appointment adjustments. They will try to find the best timing that would suit you. Even with the pandemic, Dr. Cao and her staff went above and beyond to find creative ways to help with our son's vision therapy by offering remote treatment. These remote treatments were just as effective as in-person and we are so grateful that his treatments were not interrupted. The location has plenty of parking and the office is extremely clean. It is spotless every single time. I highly recommend that you get your child's vision check and do it early! Even if there are no signs of poor vision! Don't make the same mistake we made. Just got my contact lens exam done this morning with Dr. Judy. I was in and out of there in less than an hour. She's fast and efficient especially since I had a baby at home waiting for me. With the new normal nowadays there's a safe protocol to follow and the office is very clean. You wait in your car and get a text when the exam room is ready. I usually wear contacts and glasses when I'm just at home. I was able to try on different colored contacts to my liking and they'll order it for you before you leave so everything is set to go. Beautiful new building and office. Decided to come and check out this clinic because I had met Dr. Cao a while back when she came into B & C Physical Therapy to let us know about her new office. She had a great energy about her and when someone rolls up her sleeves, and physically goes out and does her own marketing, you know she is dedicated to the cause.
