Parking can be a bit tricky. I was actually worried we wouldn't be able to find parking when we planned to visit one evening because parking was difficult to find earlier in the afternoon, so we decided to Uber from our hotel and back. We wanted to catch the town square shootout they put on every evening. Very cute little show that lasts maybe about 15 minutes. They sell some drinks and snacks as a fundraiser as well. It was established in 1929 and continues to be a place filled with lots of wildlife and numerous opportunities for hiking and fishing. The best part of our visit was a genteel raft trip down the Snake River, where you can get a whole different perspective of the park's landscape. As we floated down the river, the snow-covered mountains were visible for most of the trip -- making for some truly great photos. A group ahead of us spotted a moose, but it was gone by the time we got to where it was. It was still a very peaceful and enjoyable afternoon in the park. This national park is truly one of the most beautiful ones that I have visited.

I had snow pants on and a base layer under them and I was still cold with the heavy wind gust. The blanket helped a lot. You can purchase a blanket for $20 in the gift shop. The gift shop actually charges a responsible price for blankets. We saw a lot of Elk and a coyote during our visit which was in February. I highly recommend but don't bring small children especially when it is super cold. We had a sleigh with at least 5 chicken and 1 screamed and cried the entire time.

The restaurant we were going to that night was also across the street from the park and we wanted to see the best route to take from our hotel to this area, hence hanging out in the park for a little bit. The park has a lot of amenities, including areas you can rent out for large parties. There are courts for games like pickleball and a nice open grassy space. The playground is very cute and kids of all ages would probably love to play on the sets. There is a nice looking bathroom but unfortunately, they close for the winter, beginning on October 1st.

They're really cute, and you can definitely get some really cool pictures of yourself or with your family and friends at any of the arches. They're made from actual antlers; I'm not sure who actually collected them and put them together into these designs, but they're honestly amazing and look like a sculpture that could easily fit in at any museum. Of note, there is also an antler arch at the airport right when you get off your plane which I walked through, so you can also get a picture there even if you don't have a chance to make it into Jackson (assuming you're flying in or out of the Jackson Hole Airport). Overall, it's definitely worth a visit to the square even just for the photo op if nothing else.
