It was challenging and exciting but not unsafe for our beginner experience levels. Taylor kept an excellent watch over our ability and knowledge to be sure we could handle each rapid well before it arrived. Her guidance made it a fun and beautiful day. We spent over an hour in the car getting to the launch site and back and enjoyed every minute because Taylor is a fascinating person and a great conversationalist. One of our kayaks got loose and went downstream and Taylor exerted a tremendous amount of extra effort to get things back together. She was a good sport about it even though it created a lot of extra work for her. I've also rented inflatable kayaks from Rendezvous and they do a great job. I came with zero knowledge of kayaks or local conditions and they got me the right equipment and made sure I knew just where to go. Rendezvous is very fair about pricing. We discovered that we needed a guided trip instead of a rental and they credited the full amount of the rental toward the guided trip

The restaurant we were going to that night was also across the street from the park and we wanted to see the best route to take from our hotel to this area, hence hanging out in the park for a little bit. The park has a lot of amenities, including areas you can rent out for large parties. There are courts for games like pickleball and a nice open grassy space. The playground is very cute and kids of all ages would probably love to play on the sets. There is a nice looking bathroom but unfortunately, they close for the winter, beginning on October 1st.

The ride is only 12 minutes to the top. There's a skywalk at the top for panoramic views. The skywalk is elevated about 50' above the peak's north ridge. It's pretty windy up there so the skywalk can be a little scary. They also sell waffles at the top. Check out their website for more info. They smelled really good, but we had just eaten lunch and weren't hungry. We arrived in the afternoon, so we were sold discounted tickets for $49/pp. I think the regular rate is $67/pp, but it includes other rides as well. We came from Yellowstone NP, so we didn't have time to spend a whole day there. Overall, very happy we experienced this. We would highly recommend when visiting the area!

The ride takes you high above the valley, offering breathtaking scenery of the Tetons and Jackson Hole. The only downside was that the tram stopped briefly on the way up, which made us a little nervous. Thankfully, everything was handled safely and the views on the way down were absolutely worth it.

What my daughter (and I) loved most were the people - Sam was a great cook and friendly guide and our other guide Mariah was incredibly patient with my daughter's barrage of questions and let her help put away tack and feed the horses after the ride. They are the ONLY horseback riding with permits to enter Tetons and Yellowstone . Other Yellowstone horseback riding is through xantera or whatever the main Yellowstone commercial Company that manages all the hotels/restaurants/staff for general stores, very Disneyland/commercial. Wilderness Trails is family owned, rural, one of a kind. We felt like a family on the prairie. They literally plop horse corrals and tents and cooking station in the middle of grand Tetons and Yellowstone on a meadow/prairie like plot of land. All the staff live there in tents and some campers and so you basically join "their family" and live that life. They had a professional chef that came from a Michilin Star restaurant (he was not technically a Michilin chef) but food was amazing and so well Done! We got to eat with our horse wranglers and the chef and felt like part of their family. They all had their own dog and my kids had so much fun running around with all The doggies:) they had a warm outdoor like shower and you are in the middle of nature bathing amd my daughter said it was the best shower of her life! It was my 7 year olds first time horseback riding and she did just fine! My other kids were 10 and 12-they wanted to "live there" and asked if we could have their bday parties there. It was established in 1929 and continues to be a place filled with lots of wildlife and numerous opportunities for hiking and fishing. The best part of our visit was a genteel raft trip down the Snake River, where you can get a whole different perspective of the park's landscape. As we floated down the river, the snow-covered mountains were visible for most of the trip -- making for some truly great photos. A group ahead of us spotted a moose, but it was gone by the time we got to where it was. It was still a very peaceful and enjoyable afternoon in the park. This national park is truly one of the most beautiful ones that I have visited.

King Tubes is located next to Snow King Ski Resort and is open nights until 7 pm, making it a great way to end your day of snowy fun. It is $16 for an hour, $5 more for the second hour. The actual hill is pretty small, with three lanes to go down. I went with 3 other people... We start out riding down solo, racing each other. We quickly saw that riding down with another tube, or even riding down with all 4 tubes connected, meant you would travel much faster. And faster is funner when it comes to tubing. This isn't something I'd necessarily recommend for repeat visits, but it was certainly a fun way to spend one (somewhat drunken) evening while we were in Jackson.

Ashton, our guide, was great. She shared little anecdotes about the area, asked small talk questions about us (where we're from, grades the kids are in, sports they play, etc.), and just made the float a great experience. (She's got a great energy!) Since most of our party of 5 cannot swim, we chose the scenic experience instead of white water. There was one tiny section that was a "sampler" of the white water experience. It wasn't wild by any means, but that was enough to get the kids excited about the prospect of doing a white water experience in the future.
