    Molly, our awesome guide.
    Mike V.

Amazing fun on the river! We just returned from an awesome family vacation in and around Wyoming. We opted against the white water ride and instead chose the scenic ride, so as to avoid getting wet. And, in the end, our son dunked his head in and our daughter and I jumped in and floated along, holding on to the raft. The water was cool, but we didn't shiver at all until we were back on land and in the bus. Molly was our guide... she knows the river well, and was an excellent host. And she grew up in St. Louis! Along the way, Molly pointed out - River pelicans - Eagles (hard to see in the sky in the photo, but that's what we point to "toward the left" - two bald eagles - eagle nest (on the right toward the end) - times when the water was deep enough to jump in - we were the first of the season to jump in! The other family was nice and fun, and thanks to their Dad for assisting our son get me back into the boat each time. The Snake River headwaters are in both Yellowstone National Park and Grand Tetons National Park, and the river flows south through Wyoming and into Idaho and Washington and then into the Columbia River. Molly shared that the winter, 2017 provide the most snow seen in years, and that resulted in significant melting and flooding.... but not quite like we have seen in Missouri recently. The Snake River was at a record 30,000 cfps / cubic feet per second a couple weeks before our visit and was still at 24,000 cfps this day. The River did have its fair share of trees and other things floating from the flood, but there was seemingly little property damage. The River is shallow in spots, and we could hear the water moving the rocks at the bottom of the river, we were listening to erosion happening inches below us, as the rocks rolled and smoothed and made their eventual way to becoming sand. Thanks you, Molly and Mad River, for the awesome float!

Booked a rafting trip that was calm for families. Loved the trip, our guide Molly was terrific and very knowledgeable. Kids were 4, 7, 14 and 16. We all had a great time. We saw 22 bald eagles! Make sure you take your binoculars with you on the trip!

I had asked a travel agent to find a long term white river boat trip. The longer they are on the river the first they go down. We wanted a small boat, more action. We had an early trip because we had another advantage that day for dinner. We had paid for the trip well in advance so there should be no problems.. Well , when you are in the park there is no service. The afternoon day before as we are driving across gods country with no service, They change the trip to a afternoon ride. Leave a message that we can not get. VERY POOR SERVICE. When I called the Mad River Boat Trip Company the woman with very snotty customer service says what do you want me to do.. Give us a morning trip as we BOOKED WELL IN ADVANCE... We have 2:30 or nothing.. Well Our trip down the snake river was blown to this company.. I do not recommend them for this reason.

We had a wonderful experience with Nate as our guide. My 8 year old daughter's face was priceless through the whole ride! Glad we chose the first ride of the morning. It was so peaceful and we saw some wildlife along the way. Great experience!!

The 8.5 mile Snake River Rafting trip is beautiful and fun - it is not particularly exciting with class 1 and 2 rapids in late September. Well there may have been one class 3 at the Great Kahuna Falls, where we were hit with a wall of water and everyone got wet. One of the best parts of the activity was the people who work there. They were communicative with email before the trip, explaining what we needed to bring and how to prepare for a half day and maximize our time and fun on the water. While we were getting ready to go out, the office crew was very helpful and the guides were a wealth of knowledge once we hit the water. It was really cold the day we went and the water temperature was cold too. Mad River performed a calculation to determine safety and offered everyone in our party a wet suit, booties and gloves gratis. Top notch, freshly laundered, clean. Very Nice. Mad River makes for great family fun or a superb team building event.

He was informative and the boat held some great discussions throughout the trip, which makes it more enjoyable. I was imagining more rapids, but there was a lot more slow parts of the river. The big Kahuna was the one rapid that managed to get everyone except our guide wet. They were taking pictures there which you can purchase online or go to their shop and buy them for 20% off. We even thread the needle towards the end between a couple large rocks. It's worth doing a small 8 person boat. I'd even go in May or June to get more rapids because going at the beginning of August the water flow slows way down losing some of the rapids. They do offer water jackets you can put on under the life vest when you get there. The water was cool but not cold enough to need a wetsuit in August unless you can't handle cool temps. They do offer all that when you Check-in to rent too. If you have young kid, 4th grade or older they let them sit at the head of the boat. They have to be strong enough to hold on going over the rapids.

BEST TOUR EVER!…read more First, we are not "tour" people. We like to travel on our own and rarely find a tour company that does what they say they will do. That said, we loved our tour with Teton Floats! We took the two day Yellowstone tour out of Jackson Wy. The company was fabulous to work with. Kilmeny Hall, one of the company owners and tour coordinator, handled everything from our reservations to lunch orders. She is a true professional gem and is so accommodating. She answered all of our questions, and made the whole booking process so easy. Our tour guide, John Putrino, was absolutely the best tour guide we have ever had anywhere! He is organized and efficient in everything we did for two days. He knows all there is to know about Yellowstone and surrounding areas. He has a great spotting scope which allowed us to see even those far away animals in the park. We were able to see many bison, bears, and even a wolf pack (eating a baby bison). We also saw elk, prong horns, and a moose! We were also able to see many birds, including Trumpeter Swans, Sandhill Cranes, various hawks, and ravens. John knows all the best places to look for and see animals, as well as terrific spots to have lunch. Lunch was provided both days and the sandwiches were delish (along with the chips, cookies and fruit). The tour includes waters, binoculars, and granola bars. The van is very comfortable and easy to get in and out of. We had bathroom breaks and rest stops whenever needed. The two day tour was amazing. Day one we saw all the geothermal features, including Old Faithful, and the Grand Prismatic Spring. John told us where to stand for the best views and led us around all the features with lots of interesting information. We spent the night in Pray Montana at the Chico Hot Springs Resort, which we would highly recommend. Great cabins and a nice restaurant with a more casual Saloon if you don't want a huge meal. Day two was focused on wildlife and waterfalls. We went to the Lamar Valley and other areas including Yellowstone Lake and the upper and lower Falls. We cannot say enough great things about Teton Floats two day Yellowstone Tour. John is the best and is so knowledgeable and thoughtful. A joy to spend two days with! We are definitely going to return and take this tour again! Don't miss it.

I don't even know…read morewhere to begin with this review because it was the most fantastic experience--my written words will not do it justice (but my pics may help). We actually didn't even plan to go to Grand Teton on our vacation. We only planned to do Yellowstone and Glacier. But when my uncle saw that we were here, he started texting us all about GTNP and the scenic float ride they took. He hyped it up so much, that we turned our second day in Yellowstone into a Grand Teton Day! I called Barker Ewing the day before and they luckily had availability (just an FYI that we went in August during the pandemic, so I doubt they'd be able to squeeze us in if it were a normal year). They emailed me very detailed instructions on where to go, where to park, etc. We ended up finding the location with no issues! Soon after, our River Guide, Peter, showed up to take us on this magical journey! Luckily for us, it was just our party of three and one party of two (due to COVID restrictions). Peter told us normally they pack the boats with 12 or so people. So we were incredibly spoiled. We each got one side of the raft to ourselves- which was awesome! We were able to sit on the edge for an adventurous feeling; or we could sit down and sprawl out for a more relaxed vibe. The entire raft ride took about 2.5 hours. It was a scenic raft ride and not a white water raft ride, so it was all so peaceful. It's a ten mile ride up the Snake River. Peter did all of the rowing as he guided us through. We have never met anyone as knowledgeable and inspirational as Peter! He absolutely loves the outdoors. Said he knew since he was 8 or 9 that he wanted to move to Grand Teton and become a River Guide. Talk about following your dreams! He lives on the property in a tepee (so cool!). And he's seen all wildlife imaginable (except for a wolverine, but he can still tell you all about them!). I've never met someone so incredibly passionate about what they do. I work in HR so when I see a human being so perfectly matched to their profession, I get almost giddy about it. Never was there a better river guide than Peter! I loved so much how he was answering all of our questions with zeal. You can tell he lives for this! He is one of those rare people who make you stop and think "Am I living life to the fullest?" Needless to say, I am still trying to find my "inner Peter." My sister, brother-in-law and I talked about him for the rest of the trip! We did end up seeing some bald eagles during our ride which was really cool! Peter knew all about them of course, and even had a name for one of the younger ones ("Junior"). We were hoping to see Moose (it's called Moose, WY after all!) but didn't get a sighting. The views are absolutely stunning with the Tetons in the background. The water flowing right underneath and all around you makes for such a serene experience. There was a time where I was so at peace, that I almost dozed off. But I told myself "I cannot fall asleep when these are my views!" This has to be the closest I've ever felt to have a heavenly peace. All told, we all agreed that this was our favorite thing on our trip. For me, it is a highlight of all vacations I've ever taken! I cannot say enough good things about this experience and if you are in Grand Teton, you HAVE to make this a priority! I'm so glad my uncle hyped it up to us. He didn't oversell it at all-- if anything, it was better than we imagined! Thank you, Peter, for this unforgettable and inspiring experience! We hope to be back to see you again one day!

For $600-850 a snow mobile, this outfit is greatly missing customer etiquette. We were told to be ready at 6am sharp. We called repeatedly, text the 307 number, and had no idea if we'd been scammed until the coach showed up at 6:28. Showing up late with no working phone number was shocking for an outfit that demands logistics and communication at 6am. Once the coach showed up, I asked Jeff (guide) if there's any coffee since it's a 1+ hour ride to Yellowstone and coffee shops were not open. Scenic Safari's response? "You can die for an hour in the back." A bit rude, I ignored it. For comparison, the hotel shuttle that runs FOR FREEE has coffee and hot chocolate prepped in the van. No coffee on a $600-800 per person is one thing, but "You can die for an hour in the back," has ZERO customer etiquette. We get in the coach and the man has the lights on full blast over our heads.
