This was an amazing rafting trip! Although the water was a little low for the season, it didn't take away from the fun. Our guide was fantastic--knowledgeable, entertaining, and full of great stories. We went just a week before they closed for the winter, and the entire staff was friendly, professional, and clearly very experienced. The rapids definitely gave us a good splash (the water is cold ), but that only added to the excitement. My daughter and I had so much fun whitewater rafting with Teton Whitewater. Our guide, Noah, was very knowledgeable with the river, and the raft, regaling is with local lores and fables. We definitely enjoyed our first whitewater rafting experience and would love to come back in May/June for extra splashes. Great company- very organized, friendly. Our bus driver Harlan was really nice, and pointed out lots of things along our drive to the rafting and back. Our guide was Carson and he was super fun, and entertaining. He asked about us, told us about himself, pointed out bald eagles, etc. He was very good at directing us and most importantly keeping us safe. It was a great experience! For any nervous parents out there...let me Set you at ease! We took our two sons ages 10 & 12 on this trip and it was perfect! It was fun, entertaining and plenty of beautiful scenery! I was nervous to take the kids, having never been whitewater rafting myself, and it was entirely safe! They had a great time. I would have taken them on this trip even if they were several years younger. The guides were knowledgable and took all precautions. We remained safely seated in the raft even in the biggest rapids. As a mama, feeling that my kids were safe was most important! Hope this helps another parent who may be questioning the trip! Do it!! Would do it again in a heart beat! Lots of gentle floating as well and the ability to swim if desired. A good mix. Restrooms available before and after the float as well! Be mindful there is a 45 Min bus ride to the river and a 50 Min bus ride back to the business. Thank you to our great guide--Jake! read more

We all enjoyed our morning float; Madeline was an excellent guide who relayed some fun stories and much history of the area. The views of the Tetons was spectacular, and we saw several bald eagles and a group of playful river otters. Our afternoon whitewater trip is the reason for my 3 star rating. Although we enjoyed the scenery and went through some exciting rapids, our guide, Jake , could have included us more in the paddle, but worst of all he made a cruel and misogynist political joke which almost ruined the trip for me. Cannot really understand why a guide would do that; I decided to leave him a tip anyway, asking him to show more respect for the diversity of his clients and to remember that a Hillary voter left him a tip despite his cruel insult. read more

We had a blast, hit all the eddies and rapids just right, did (optional) games that threw us in the water (e.g., see how long you can balance on the edge of the raft while the others spin it around). He had a fun, dry sense of humor, and provided a great mix of safety and fun. With your reservation you can also rent a GoPro camera (bring your own micro SD card or buy one there) and a helmet, chest, or paddle mount for a reasonable charge. We did the combo package with a scenic float in the morning and whitewater in the afternoon. Despite the rainy weather, the guides and staff had great positive energy. They offered ponchos and blankets during the scenic float. It was peaceful and beautiful with an very knowledge guide. The whitewater trip was a blast. My kids 12 and 16 got to ride the bull on the Big Kahua rapid. They were safety conscious and still made it a good time even in rainy weather. There are not enough good words to describe our experience with Teton Whitewater! Our experience from booking was positive. The packages were clear and most questions were answered online. When we arrived at the office, we were greeted by a very friendly staff who was eager to help us. They were very knowledgeable about what we were doing as well as our experience level. They made us feel very comfortable getting ready to get on the bus and head down for our excursion. From the moment we got on the bus every single person we interacted with was polite, professional and courteous! The bus ride was even fun, with our driver being funny and entertaining. Once at the launch point, we were quickly assigned boats and put on the water. That really helped us get over the nerves of doing this for the first time. Our guide for the tour was Skyler. He was very quick to learn our names and give us clear instructions on what we needed to do in any emergency situation. After just a few minutes, we felt like he really knew who we were and what our level of experience was. He made sure to make us feel safe and welcome on the water throughout this time. He gave us fun challenges, but never anything that we were not able to handle. Just being on the water it was very clear that each instructor was doing this with their groups, as someone giving their groups more challenging task based on their experience. We went out in a small boat with Dave. We were kind of worried because we were the only people on the bus. But we ended up picking up some boy scouts on the way and filled it up. The snake river is nothing like the American river in Cali but I had my wife and kids with me so it was perfect. We also rented the go-pro which I do recommend but had a few technical difficulties. Just remember to double check it before you set off. I just wish the batteries lasted longer. Great guys, great company! Two thumbs up and a highly recommend for this place. One bad thing was I wanted to give Dave a tip but I never saw him again after we got off the boat. Sorry Dave. read more

This place is hands down the best place to go, especially for beginners. We hit 2-4 class rapids and did it with ease. No one fell out! Our guide, Spencer, only positively added to our experience as he was very interactive and funny. Simple rules were explained before we hit the first set of rapids and from there on the fun only continued! You can also tell that all of the staff, especially your guide, are trying hard to make sure you have a great experience. Overall, this was a very refreshing after going hiking in Yellowstone for the past two days. The water is cold but don't let that scare you as beautiful views and fun experiences await.
