    Scenic float trip
    Angie S.

We did the 8:30am scenic float trip and had a fantastic time. Check in was easy and the trip down to the river was quick. Our guide Tanner was both informative and entertaining. The trip was relaxing and fun all at the same time. We saw over a dozen bald eagles and several other birds. We've already decided to do the white water trip on our next visit.

My daughter and I had so much fun whitewater rafting with Teton Whitewater. Our guide, Noah, was very knowledgeable with the river, and the raft, regaling is with local lores and fables. We definitely enjoyed our first whitewater rafting experience and would love to come back in May/June for extra splashes. The bus was clean and all the employees and guides were wearing masks when required at all times. We did not once feel unsafe taking this rafting trip.

We did a combo trip starting with small boat whitewater followed by lunch and the scenic float. We had four kids with us ranging in age from 7 to 13. Everyone had an amazing time. Brad and Ethan were kind, professional, and lots of fun. We hope to come back soon because as the kids say, "Best day ever!"

Incredible staff who very kindly took photos of our group getting ready, and loading up!

Great company- very organized, friendly. Our bus driver Harlan was really nice, and pointed out lots of things along our drive to the rafting and back. Our guide was Carson and he was super fun, and entertaining. He asked about us, told us about himself, pointed out bald eagles, etc. He was very good at directing us and most importantly keeping us safe. It was a great experience! Ethan was at the pick up spot and was also super nice! The crew at the put-in spot was also great and took pictures for us! Highly recommend!

Teton Whitewater was amazing! Everything was streamlined and organized. Our 8 year old daughter was so nervous, Spencer our guide did a wonderful job of making her feel comfortable and enjoy herself. By the end of the trip she was up riding the bull! All six of us in our family enjoyed every minute and will definitely go with Teton Whitewater in the future if we are in Jackson! It was a great experience.

Excellent experience. Our guide, Bethany, was terrific. We did the morning scenic float with modest rapids (appealing to our young children). Highly recommend.

I've been on several guided whitewater trips in Jackson and Teton Whitewater is the best. Our guide was Adam. We had a blast, hit all the eddies and rapids just right, did (optional) games that threw us in the water (e.g., see how long you can balance on the edge of the raft while the others spin it around). He had a fun, dry sense of humor, and provided a great mix of safety and fun. With your reservation you can also rent a GoPro camera (bring your own micro SD card or buy one there) and a helmet, chest, or paddle mount for a reasonable charge. I recommend the smaller (8-person) boat for more fun.

If you have any type of issue, just know the managers are too lazy to do their job and put it on the poor employees up front to deal with with problems that isn't even their job to start. There was constant miscommunication with every employee we interacted with and the manager was well aware of what was going on and refused to even help. What's the point of your job then? We made well aware we were not experts and were beginner snowboarders. Not a single employee made us aware that the beginner slopes were closed. We were never given any advice on what to do and where to go. We get to one of the lifts and when asking the employee if it was the expert slope, he said "it's not too bad." It wasn't until we got off the lift, when we realized it wasn't the case. A different (only helpful employee in this situation) immediately came to help. When explaining we were beginners, he shared that we never should've been sent up there. After explaining the situation, the people inside mentioned they were unaware that the beginner slopes were closed. Due to the miscommunication (on their part) and the fact that our safety was at risk, we rightfully asked for a refund. Mind you, we didn't even get to experience anything of what we paid for. We immediately went back down at the recommendation of the helpful employee on the slope. Management refused to speak with us and refused a refund. Also, all of a sudden once a refund was mentioned, they were ready to offer alternatives for beginners. First of all, where was this in the beginning? Second, by this time the way the situation was already being handled, we were over it and had zero interest in returning. While I don't fully fault all the employees that attempted to help with the options they were given, I put full blame on management. There needs to be cohesive communication across all employees to prevent situations like this. And as a former customer service facing manager, I am absolutely floored by the unprofessionalism from the manager on duty on February 2, 2026. She was well aware of everything but not once did she come out of her office to apologize or offer any kind of assistance. Absolutely ridiculous, insulting to our time, energy and money.

Our group included experienced fly fishers with their own gear as well as relative newbies and ALL were treated to just the right experience. The skilled casters were given tight targets that often yielded fish. The first timers were shown how to throw a dry and consistently put on fish, too. The guides had two in each boat and brought lunch for all. They provided rods, waders and flies, which they changed and tied on gladly and often. We fished the Wilson Bridge down to South Pass and Jenny Lake dam to Pacific Creek, two very different and very productive stretches. Neither was difficult fishing. Caught plenty of smaller fast water cutthroats on the lower section and big (BIG) cutthroats and whitefish on the crystal clear upper dam-fed section. Our group has a lot of experience and familiarity with fly fishing, and all of us thought the experience with Snake River Anglers was excellent -- true fly fishing advice and guiding for the advanced angler, and helpful tutoring and teaching to the newcomer. Never intimidating. Nor ever underwhelming. These guys got it going on. We fished dries, steamers and some nymphs on indicators in late April.

I'm very detail-oriented and tend to ask a lot of questions to make sure everything is covered, and she went above and beyond. We ended up booking two expeditions: the Shared Scenic Float and the Rafting trip. Both were fantastic. Check-in was smooth, the staff was friendly and welcoming--just what you'd hope for from a family-owned business. Prices are also very reasonable. Just a quick note: don't forget to tip your guides--they truly deserve it. Pro tip: If you're looking for a more intense rafting experience, go in late May or June when the water levels are higher.

I had just spent 5 wonderful…read moreand eventful days exploring Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks...2 of the best parks in the country! And for anyone needing a recommendation and why I liked staying here at the Jackson Hole/Snake River KOA, let me explain briefly.... I spent my final day at Yellowstone and before heading back to the Salt Lake City Airport back in Utah, I decided to spend the night here. Besides the fact that I love the outdoors and cozy log cabins, these campgrounds were located just outside downtown Jackson Hole, only 12 miles away. Being on the outskirts of Jackson made spending the evening here at my own little cabin pretty affordable. For $70, during the middle part of the month of May, I got to stay here. That was a great deal compared to resting in the heart of Jackson Hole where lodging was much more expensive. Also, the following day I was making the long drive back down south to SLC Airport almost 5 hours and 270 miles away. So for anyone looking to visit Grand Teton and Yellowstone....SLC airport is cheaper compared to flying into PRICEY Jackson Hole Airport. And this itinerary is the most common way to navigate getting to and from this spectacular section of the country. Finally, on my way back to SLC....I stopped along the way at the Wyoming/Utah border and explored Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Some of the scenery there was fantastic with colorful red backdrops and picturesque landscapes. I'd recommend stopping at Flaming Gorge if you have time on your way home...the way I did before my red eye flight back to Florida. Now onto KOA! I arrived during afterhours on the last day of my vacation. My cabin was already paid for so the owners/keepers left my keys in the front mailbox by the main house/front area with directions to my cabin. I had my own parking spot when I found it. It was not hard to find. Beside my cabin were rows of other cabins set up one by one and side by side to each other. The campgrounds were pretty large. Including mine, each cabin space had their own fire pit for barbecuing along with a picnic table. On the porch of each cabin, there were little swings on one side and a bench area on the other. This was accommodating in case you wanted to relax and look up to the stars at night before heading to sleep. My cabin also had a screen door to let fresh air inside. Inside my cabin, I had one double bed and although I was traveling alone, a bunkbed as well. In all, the cabin oozed rustic and quaint. I was happy I chose to stay here. My only slight issue was....(and although they warned me about it before making plans to stay here) they did not provide linens, pillows and blankets. I had to make due with what I had. My cabin had a good working heater because as I'm sure as is the case most nights....it gets cold. Just around my place on the left was the communal bathroom. There were 4 - 5 toilets with plenty of showers to use. I never really bumped into anyone while washing up. The bathrooms were clean and the water pressure was fine with good running hot water. Although my sleep was just okay since I didn't come with a blanket and pillows...it didn't deter me at all....I still very much enjoyed the quietness and peacefulness of the cabin and my stay. There's something about the great outdoors and campgrounds that always win me over! I think it's being able to appreciate nature that I enjoy so much. I grew up in a big city on the east coast and now I live in overpopulated South Florida. Also, I've became a real simple person the more I have aged. I'm someone who doesn't need luxurious accommodations. Ultimately...my experience here at KOA - Jackson Hole was more than suffice. It fit in perfectly with my travel plans coming from touring Grand Teton and Yellowstone NP's, making my way towards Flaming Gorge Reservoir, and eventually returning to Salt Lake City for my flight back home.
