My 10-year old LOVED our stay here - it was the highlight of our trip to Wyoming and she's now begging to come back next year for a multi-night ride into the mountains. The camp is great though definitely expect rustic accommodations with the exception of the beds, which are (heavenly) real mattresses. The horses and ride were great - very well-mannered animals and a wonderful evening ride through wildflower-filled mountain meadows, creeks, and up and down reasonably challenging terrain. What my daughter (and I) loved most were the people - Sam was a great cook and friendly guide and our other guide Mariah was incredibly patient with my daughter's barrage of questions and let her help put away tack and feed the horses after the ride. A truly memorable Wyoming experience with many great memories.

We did the bedroll and breakfast but they also do customs overnight tours to fishing sites or deeper into Yellowstone.

The trail ride was such an adventure for this Texas girl who's use to riding on flat ground! The fireside dinner was excellent and the beds are comfortable. It was nice not to have to set up a tent once getting to the campground, everything is ready for you! There is a convenience store closeby if you end up needing anything. It's also just down the road from the entrance to Yellowstone so it's easy to make this horseback riding adventure one of the stops on your trip! Hayden was our guide & he was really friendly & knowledgeable about the area & horses. Our group was small too which made the experience more intimate (5 riders + our guide). Eagle Ridge Ranch is affordable, has beautiful trails, well behaved horses & attentive/accommodating staff. We went on a rainy morning & it cleared up in an hour, but the rain didn't bother us. Eagle Ridge is close to Yellowstone, Bozeman & the Tetons so there's plenty to do after an early morning ride. Thank you for the experience!!!

All the horses were well behaved and fit to each riders experience level. Our family had varied riding experiences, and all four of us had a wonderful time. Dale's knowledge of the park - its history, its wildlife and its geology - was worth every penny. The van was comfortable and allowed for easy viewing of the park. We never felt rushed at any of the stops. Even the breakfast and lunch were good! Dale is very friendly and an easy person to spend the day with. He treated us as if we were long-time friends. I have zero complaints but lots of great memories of our day touring Yellowstone.

He's been a geologist and professional wildlife photographer for 30-40 years. His wealth of knowledge about everything in Yellowstone is what takes this tour to the next level that other National Park tours don't even come close to touching. This tour is worth EVERY penny. Along our tour, we saw a bald eagle, many buffalo, mountain goats that were right next to the road, elk and deer. Dale was shocked that we didn't see any bears that particular day because they are so common. We saw waterfalls, canyons, geysers and way more. The only downside is that we wish we had more time to tour the rest of the park.
