The camp is great though definitely expect rustic accommodations with the exception of the beds, which are (heavenly) real mattresses. The horses and ride were great - very well-mannered horses and a wonderful evening ride through wildflower-filled mountain meadows, creeks, and up and down reasonably challenging terrain. What my daughter (and I) loved most were the people - Sam was a great cook and friendly guide and our other guide Mariah was incredibly patient with my daughter's barrage of questions and let her help put away tack and feed the horses after the ride. A truly memorable Wyoming experience with many great memories.

The trail ride was such an adventure for this Texas girl who's use to riding on flat ground! The fireside dinner was excellent and the beds are comfortable. It was nice not to have to set up a tent once getting to the campground, everything is ready for you! There is a convenience store closeby if you end up needing anything. It's also just down the road from the entrance to Yellowstone so it's easy to make this horseback riding adventure one of the stops on your trip! We left about 6:30am to get there at 7:30 (and we were still 10 minutes late). The last 5 miles are on a dirt road, through absolutely gorgeous country. Just be forewarned that it's a dirt road! They were very gracious and allowed us to join the 3 hour ride, despite being 10 minutes late! They have the cutest dogs! Their big St. Bernard, Teddy demanded belly rubs, which I would have happily given all day. They also have the tiniest little pom I have ever seen! So adorable. All of their horses look so healthy and happy. They are obviously very well cared for. Their facilities are clean and well maintained and all of the employees were friendly and engaging. Our wrangler for the trail ride was knowledgeable and fun to chat with. She was attentive without being overbearing. We stopped several times so she could check our saddles and cinch us up, if needed. I don't have to say that the scenery was insanely beautiful. It's Wyoming in the summer, and the Grand Tetons! I felt completely spoiled coming from CA where everything is currently a shade of brown, and dry. Our horses were very well behaved and made the ride easy. Thank you so much to Swift Creek for a beautiful experience! I got to see parts of Wyoming that I would not have been able to otherwise. I will definitely be coming back!

The people here accommodated to her by giving her a very sturdy, docile horse named Sage. My mom now loves horses. All of the horses are super well trained. The view of the mountains is absolutely beautiful when you get up to the ridge. The staff is wonderful and they know a lot about the area so you learn new things along the ride. This past Monday July 7 at 2:28, my husband and I were on the main highway. We stopped along the…read moreroad with several other cars as the tour from your ranch were crossing. One of the guides was struggling with the horse he was on. It was doing circles while he was on the highway waiting for others to cross. Once everyone had crossed and he was on the dirt, he proceeded to hit his horse several times in the neck, which appeared to be with a lot of force. We were appalled and this type of abuse to this horse should never happen. I suggest you terminate this employee or take any necessary action. What we witnessed was awful and I hope this isn't typical of the way your Ranch treats these beautiful animals.

I will say, going back down the mountain was a bit scary because my horse (shoutout to Gray) did not like going down the rocks and would stop to analyze the path. He was good overall. I would definitely recommend doing this while in the area.
