It covers a fairly large area and has a number of activities you can do: horseback riding, fishing, hiking, and more. The food was excellent! They prepared 3 meals each day and we weren't disappointed at all. They even packed a picnic lunch for us to take when we went to Yellowstone for the day. The views at MH are amazing. It was so beautiful having the Tetons right outside of your window. We've missed MH since we were there and look forward to visiting again soon!

Not…read moreonly was every activity well supervised and instructive like with Emily our wrangler, John our nature guide and Joe our fishing instructor but when our daughter had an unexpected medical emergency Ron and his wife were quick to listen and respond with help getting to the Jackson hospital. All ended well but can't thank Turpin folks enough for a great ranch experience and for renewing our belief in the gift of having a great human spirit.

Great location | lots of trees | popular campground…read more We stayed here one night while we visited Yellowstone. We're continuing our trip south to the Tetons, so this was the perfect stop for the night. Quick and easy check in at the front entrance. Our site was 83, which fits a 24ft campervan. We had to use the levelers but no problem. There is a picnic table and fire pit. This site is close to the road, but we didn't mind because we put on the white noise machine to let our toddler sleep better. Showers was a big morale boost. The facility is right outside of the campground, and they give you two free showers. The facility is big and well maintained. There is also a room to do laundry. See the cashier at the laundry room to access the shower section. They will mark your free shower and buzz you in. Site 83 is across from the trash bin. We were not too far from a couple bathrooms. Our site did not have any hookups. Plenty of shade since there are tons of trees. Bear lockers provided and wildlife are definitely around. Close to the general store and Grant lake village restaurant. Would come back here next time!

It's a busy campground, and we were lucky to snag a last-minute reservation about a week out. We stayed in site G221. The campground is well-run: there's shared bear storage (though we opted to keep all food and scented items, including water, in our car), the fire pit was great for evenings, the bathrooms were decent, and the dishwashing room was sufficient for basic cleanup. That said, there are a couple of drawbacks. The campsites are quite close to each other, so there's not much privacy. Also, the shower hours are limited -- open only from about 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. -- which was tough since we were often out before dawn and back after 9. And yes, bears are very much around -- one even came through the G loop during the night while we were there. Despite those few things, I'd definitely recommend Grant if you're looking for a convenient base in Yellowstone

I stayed at Signal Mountain Campground for one night in mid-June while on a cross-country road…read moretrip, and it was a great stop during my visit to Grand Teton National Park, one of my favorites...I've been to 60 of the 63 designated national parks in the United States. The campground had plenty of bathrooms, including a shower area (for a fee) and a laundry facility, which I really appreciated. The proximity to the boat launch was perfect for some early morning photos; the views were stunning! Unfortunately I tried to sunbathe/relax mid-afternoon after a hike but the bugs wanted to feast on me! I also loved being able to have a campfire, adding to the overall experience. However, I did wish the campsites were a bit more spaced out. I had some noisy neighbors, and unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well that night and ended up throwing up, which definitely wasn't ideal. Despite that setback, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend Signal Mountain Campground for its amenities and beautiful location!

This was everyone's favorite campsite in our 18 day road trip…read more Site 12 has the million dollar unobstructed views of Jenny Lake! We had site 11 and our friends had site 9 and both were positioned in such a way that all three had (partial) views of the lake with the mountains in the background. Gorgeous views at sunset! The sites are mostly gravel with designated tent areas, which we were thankful for when we experienced crazy thunderstorms both nights we were there (some of the grassy areas were muddy but could have been a lot worse). We loved the electric hookups (extra fee), and the lodge with facilities (restrooms, showers and laundry) came in handy! My friends saw a fox and it took a pair of one of their gloves! So watch out for your belongings! We figured there must be a fox den inside the campgrounds. RV and trailer max is 30' for every site in this campground.

This is a difficult review to write because our guide was very knowledgeable and excellent…read more However, we booked the full-day tour, advertised as lasting 5-6 hours, specifically because it was supposed to include more than the half-day tour. Instead, we were initially grouped with guests who had booked the half-day tour, and we visited the same sites they did. Our tour also ended after only about 4.5 hours. We contacted the company afterward to request a partial refund, since we had specifically paid extra for the full-day experience and did not receive the additional time or itinerary advertised. Unfortunately, they refused to offer any refund or adjustment. While we had a great guide, the tour itself did not match what was advertised, and the company's response when we raised the issue was disappointing. Based on this experience, I would not book this tour again.

Special shout out to Bella (Front desk) who went above and beyond and spent time assisting me during and after my stay! She really didn't have to and very few people in this world would have. Review Indian Creek We stayed at Indian Creek at the end of…read moreSeptember 2020. Let me preface my review by saying that we had a very pleasant time here, but the check in process of this first come first served campground just totally doesn't make sense to us! We arrived at 7:30am. We got in line with only a few cars ahead of us and were told that they'd open check in starting at 8am. By 9:30am, we were called up to the front of the line and told to park in one of three parking spots near the booth. At that point we were finally able to see what was taking so long: The one park ranger working would exit the booth to come up to the front car and ask them to park the car and then have the person get out of their car and meet them at the booth to check in. Then, she'd take about 15-20min with them to explain the rules of the campground and collect payment. With almost 30 people in line two days before the campground actually closed for the season, you can imagine how this process was completely inefficient. The campground itself is lovely. Each site has a bear box, picnic table, and fire pit with vault toilets and potable water nearby. We stayed at site 21 in the tent loop and had plenty of space with minimal privacy. Most campsites are close together so there isn't much privacy. We had no cell service (which is normal for the majority of the park). The campground is in a central location to explore the west part of the park. On our first night, we arrived late and found a couple setting up a tent on our site (we had our receipt hanging up on the marker and food in the bear box, but they didn't notice). It was a misunderstanding and we were able to amicably handle the situation, but what impressed me was that the campground had volunteers do a nightly security check every so often and happened to drive by when all of this went down. They checked in with us to make sure we were okay and if we needed any help sorting out the situation. I would recommend this site, just be prepared to be patient with check-in if you're lucky enough to get a site.

Great campground just north of Norris Campground…read more Getting a reservation in Yellowstone is basically like winning the lottery. And first-come first-serve sites when we visited the park at the end of July were still in high demand. (Showing up at 6AM at the Norris campground was apparently not early enough!) Indian Creek was an excellent alternative. The only con were the vault toilets, but they were the cleanest/best ones I used in the whole park. Plenty of toilet paper and hand sanitizer provided. The park rangers staffing the campground were SUPER friendly. Not as centrally located as Norris, but far easier then driving outside of Yellowstone Park.
